Terrible company. They laid sod on the 15th and I watered it 20 minutes everyday and didnt mow for six weeks and over the past couple of months it has had mushrooms(just on the sod) and is dying. I called a company to come out and look at it to see what I was doing wrong and they guy told me they gave me bad sod and literally was able to lift up sections of it and saw they didnt till up the soils underneath so it was never able to properly root in certain areas and he was able to tell they just weed eat sections of it down because my sod still sits 3 inches above other parts of my lawn.

I would highly recommend Turf Doctor Landscaping & Lawn. Even my neighbors were so impressive with how professional they came in and got everything done at a high quality. If you are looking for Landscaping needs do not call anyone else. Thank you for everything Robert.

Full re-landscape front and backyard! Designed the flower beds and recommended materials to bring depth to the front of the house. Also provided a great recommendation for lawn treatment company. I now have them cut my lawn and keep it up monthly. Great modernized lawn company.

I am extremely pleased with this company. They are very dependable. They will come to cut our lawn up until 6:30 some nights. When I have asked them to trim the hedges they do it immediately. All the staff are friendly and a pleasure to deal with. The cost to cut the lawn, trim, cut the bushes, and weed the beds is extremely reasonable. They also work with our pest control company so I feel like that’s a plus for us and our lawn!

The owner came to my house and gave me an estimate for two items. Hauling in some dirt and sod in my back yard and a quote to trim my hedges on a bi weekly basis. I did receive the quote which I thought was fair and I wanted to proceed forward with the trimming of the hedges. I have called the owner numerous times, text him, sent him several e-mails, called his office and spoke to his receptionist. The receptionist said that she would make sure that he would get the message. Not one time did I receive the courtesy of a return call. If he did not want to do business, a simple call or text would have been adequate. There are other choices and I would strongly suggest to look else where before using this company. They obviously don't care about their customers.

This is in response to a review we left from Chandler Altman below giving 5 stars at time of complete front yard landscaping. A week after our landscape was put in, we had 6 plants die. I called the company and was told there was no guarantee on the plants. It was a strange screaming match and I ended up hanging up. We now have 12 plants that are dead a month later. I do not know how to remove the 5 star review, so I am making up for it in this review. I would like to say that the morning after the landscape was put in, the most expensive shrub was removed in the dark while we were sleeping and replaced with a smaller shrub. We contacted Robert and he said it was for another job and placed in the yard by accident. I would suggest calling your customer and notifying them that someone would be coming onto their property to remove and replace a shrub with something else in the dark before anyone gets up. Private property is just that. You hauled away thousands of dollars of our existing plants and the 12 that have died aren’t a fraction of what you took away. When I called, the woman told me that my husband picked out all the plants that they put in, and when I told her he only picked out the foxtails, she told me I was lying..that they do not pick out any plants. I think Robert should have stepped up at that point and told her he picked them out. My husband has text Robert 3 times with no response…so this is our experience. Amazing when giving quote, professional at putting in, then it’s like they don’t even know who you are when things start to die. If we had to do it again, we would not have gone this route.

Professional and reliable. We had our land leveled, new irrigation put in, three pallets of sod laid down, new plants, shrubs, and mulch, drainage, and gravel all done in one day with a big crew. Very happy with the end result highly recommend them.

Turf Doctor did an excellent job at one of our condo communities. Great communication, got it done sooner than expected, did exactly what our plan laid out, crew was very professional. Would definitely recommend this company.

We needed a plant bed raised to meet the pool deck height which is on a slope. Robert and his team removed all the plants, installed the retaining wall and replanted all the plants back into the bed. We needed it done on a rather tight schedule and Turf Doctor was able to get the job done. Completely happy with the results.

Robert and his team were amazing with our landscaping project! They were helpful in the design, installation and follow up visits to satisfy our "punch list" type items or concerns. Not to mention the million questions we had throughout the process, all the while they remained professional and reasonably priced. Our neighbors are stopping us to say how great everything turned out.

This is the third time using Robert and his crew on various projects. I started discussions with Robert about my current project back in September. He has always been responsive and great to work with recommending possible solutions to controlling rain water in my back yard.

Robert's crew was great yesterday putting in a downspout drainage system, doing some grade leveling by broadcasting areas with a sand/loam mix to fill in low spots, laying sod and doing a tune-up and repairs on my irrigation system.

They put up with me wanting to get in the middle of everything happening. My asking questions to directing what, where and how I want the job done as it was being done. I was always greeted with a positive attitude and without any conflict. What a great group to work with.

I am a "happy camper" and hopfully they have provided me a solution to reducing the standing water in my back yard after a heavy rain and the gutters dumping the water into the yard. I will know soon enough after the next heavy rain......

They networked three down spouts to move the water elsewhere by trenching in drain pipe. A pallet of new sod was used to cover the trench and areas that were built up and bare.

The crew was meticulous about the details leaving the worksite clean and free of all debris.

UPDATE: 30 May 2025

Some recent rains with 15-20 minute downbursts of about 3-4" per hour rate really tested my new storm water collection drain system. The sudden downburst was a 15-20 minute period and measured at 1.5-2" of rain collected in rain gauges in the area. That amount of rain in that short of a period overwhelmed the system causing it to back up. No fault to the overall system connections and 4" pipe use, just the pop-up emitter valve at the curb could not handle the 80 GPM outflow being produced by the rain and erosion was occurring at the curb. Images attached.

Robert was able to work with me and together with his crew we were able to find a solution to resolve the problem of the system being able to handle sudden downbursts. Now all I have to do is wait and see how it performs. I am confident that the challenge is resolved and the system should work with no issues. Not many companies will work with the customer like Robert and his crew has done today. Thanks to Augusto, Jimmy and crew who came today to take care of it. Again a great bunch of guys to work with you to find solutions and get it done.

Unbelievable rude office manager. Her name is Barbara. I initially called to get a 2 Mos service, was told they don't do this. So I agreed to get a quote for full year. Agreed to full year, then was told they didn't want to service my property because they thought I would cancel after 2 mos, even though I told her that was not my intent. They criticized me for not option for shrub added service, implying I didn't care about my shrubs. Dodged a bullet with these idiots. Don't bother wasting time with this outfit. Many other better companies out there!

Thank you again Turf Doctor! I love how my yard turned out. I would highly recommend using this company if you are wanting to redo your landscaping. If you need someone to be on time, do the job correctly in a timely manner, and be responsive then this is the company for you!
