I have had a number of people over the years who provided care for my lawn and landscape, but no one has exceeded my expectations like John and Jessica have. For each of the numerous projects they have under taken, all have been completed with understanding and expertise. John seems to know intuitively what a particular space needs to be a work of art while Jessica handles the weekly maintenance with skill and grace.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Details Landscaping and can say they’re a fantastic team to partner with. John and Jessica are professional, easy to communicate with, and clearly take pride in their work. Their attention to detail shows in everything they do—whether it’s lawn care, garden bed makeovers, sod installation, or irrigation and lighting. It’s refreshing to work with a company that’s both reliable and passionate about creating beautiful, well-maintained outdoor spaces.

I'm so grateful I had the chance to meet the owners! I moved into my rented home in November 2025, and since April, I've been really struggling to find help with mowing my backyard. My landlord only takes care of the front yard, and by August 2025, my backyard was overgrown, almost covering my dogs! I tried a few different companies, but scheduling issues and no-shows just made things worse.

Finally, I decided to rent a lawn mower to try and do it myself. That's when I met the owners of Derails Landscaping and received their business card. They came out the same day and did both the front and back yards — and honey , it looks gorgeous! I was especially touched when he let my 11-year-old son help out; it was a great learning experience for him about yard upkeep and using the tools.

I'm definitely going to be a loyal customer moving forward . My son is thrilled to keep learning, and John from Details Landscaping was such a positive influence on him — it really made my day! No My entire summer ! Thank you John and Jessica! 🤗

I have to preface this review with the fact that my husband is a Marine. Needless to say he is very particular about the lawn and has been maintaining it himself for over 10 years. He is no longer able to maintain it and one of my colleagues in the real estate industry recommended John and Details Landscaping. We tried them out before signing an agreement and can offer 5+ stars!! John is very responsive to questions and the work is excellent and the pricing is VERY reasonable! Looking forward to a happy hubby this summer instead of a tired, sore and very hot grouch. 😊

As a busy professional, I don’t have the time to make my yard look the way it should. John and Jessica gave our yard the crisp edges and clean results that every Florida yard deserves to have. The transformation they made to our yard had all the neighbors out complimenting the appearance. I cannot recommend this company strongly enough. Fast and friendly with professional grade results! My yard looks so good.

We have had many people maintaining our lawn, mostly young companies, wanting to give them a start, eventually our lawn got worse and worse because of the heavy mowers that had been used. John came by to give us a quote for some landscaping ideas and pointed out what problems we were having and suggested that we have our lawn maintained with push mowers that were not so heavy, leaving wear patches every place a turn was made. For the last year, John and Jessica have been maintaining and treating our lawn as if it was their very own, and they brought it back looking wonderful. We wouldn’t trust our lawn care and landscaping to anybody else.

We hired John and Jessica to completely change out our flower beds and driveway area. We wanted native plants that were very low maintenance. I also wanted different colors that would change throughout the seasons. Their ideas were fantastic! My yard is very native friendly now and much much prettier! Not only were they easy to work with, they were prompt, professional, and extremely good communicators. We are very pleased and would highly recommend their services.

We had the privilege of collaborating on a large renovation project with Sunscapes. Gerry and Judy are a wealth of knowledge. Their approach is thoughtful and their execution is very professional. I can't imagine anybody not benefitting from their experience.

We worked with Sunscapes for over a year designing, planning, and installing our historic riverfront home's hardscape and landscape design. The end result is perfection. Both Geri and Judy offer a wealth of knowledge and expertise as well as integrating our desires into a plan that works and is beautiful. Moreover, they are both lovely in their style, which is a combination of straightforward and gentle. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Gerry and Judy captured our vision for a low maintenance natural marsh landscape, exceeding our expectations with the addition of blooming color all year long - it's gorgeous! They also created a fabulous hard scape and porch design with outdoor lighting that extends our living space. We cannot recommend Sunscapes highly enough!

Sunscapes is incredible. Gerry and Judy provide incredible knowledge and a service-oriented approach that are second to none. They designed and installed the perfect plan to maximize the curb appeal of my 70s ranch style house. Not only did they make it beautiful, but they were attentive to my request for a plan that combined beauty with minimal maintenance requirements. My yard is a joy to look at, but I don't have to constantly spend my weekends on upkeep. I wouldn't change a thing about it.

They completely chopped up my mint plant which is in a pot and not next to anything that needed to be trimmed. They also did a horrible job on the jasmine shrubs, I instead of trimming them I’m pretty sure they weedwacked them, now they look awful.

Matt and his crew did an incredible job planting flowers and shrubs in my yard. They also spread 100 bags of mulch. They also do my lawn maintenance on a regular basis.

In addition to being professional, friendly, and courteous, they are efficient, effective and very reasonably priced.

Alex, the crew chief, is meticulous and very detail oriented. Don and Ray are both very hardworking individuals. The entire crew has always been very accommodating to listen to my requests and concerns and go above and beyond to make my yard look beautiful.

Highly recommend this great company. Give them a call, you won’t be sorry.
