Poor attention to detail and zero accountability.

The planters were installed directly on travertine without any risers, which caused staining from trapped drainage—something that could’ve been easily avoided with basic knowledge and experience.

When I brought it up, Romy got defensive and started blaming the nursery that sold the planters instead of taking responsibility. I even offered to cover half of the labor cost to fix it and was willing to provide two of my own employees to help, just to get it resolved fairly. She still refused to take any accountability.

At one point she even said she doesn’t usually do planter installs and only works with plants in the ground, which was surprising because that was never mentioned when she came out to estimate the job.

I remained respectful the entire time, but the conversation ended with her hanging up on me.

I ended up fixing the issue myself. Would not recommend based on the lack of accountability and professionalism.

Updating to 1 star after owners response- The woman Romy just admitted to knowing exactly what our property needed but still put the customer through the ringer instead of being kind enough to assist him. Why make him go through the process and waste more time waiting for a quote if you already know. if she was such a "professional" she would not have behaved as if she was doing us a favor when we said its ok to come out another day, she also wouldn't have rushed through the appt and cut him off from speaking and asking her questions because she "had to go" and she also would/could have simply said "I know exactly what you need, and this will be the price" especially since she knows so much and doesn't need to take notes. Even a ball park figure since she supposedly knows so much. Clearly she got bothered when she learned we only needed labor, which was stated right upfront. Everyone else gave us a price immediately ON SITE! She seemed spiteful and was definitely unprofessional and wasted time. The only "disrespect" here is her disgusting accusation that she was being used for measurements so we can do it ourself, (well just wait till she sees the great review we'll post on here for the person we did hire), her treatment of this project and the fact that she ridiculously told my husband to remove brand new sod that was just paid for and installed. there is absolutely nothing wrong with the new sod, all the others who came out said it's fine, leave the sod in and just add sand. Romy, YOU chose to come out on Labor Day, remember the "if I change my mind i'll come" that was your decision, not mine. I even gave you that and a star in my original review below. YOU also chose to know exactly what was needed and not give us a quote on site, which was the entire purpose of your trip to my home. My review is exactly that, mine. This was my experience from the poor service we got vs others who came out and gave us their time, attention and most importantly suggestions, everything we need to buy and a fair price. My hubby only offered to email her the materials list because she clearly did not want to put in any of that work and she was rushing to leave here while he was still talking! after I was informed of the bad appt with Romy I told my hubby NO WAY are we emailing her now, she's getting a review of our experience online instead.

Original Review -I had this Romy company come out to my home for a quote but she did not even do anything. It was Labor Day, so I appreciate her coming out and that's why I am giving her 2 stars but she definitely wanted it to be known she was doing me a favor, I told her I was ok with her coming on another day but she told me "I don't work but if I change my mind I'll come". She changed her mind and came out but when my husband told her that we can get everything wholesale (because I'm in the biz) and that we only need labor/installation... and as soon as she heard that, she did not want to do any work in taking any measurements or any notes about our needs. She basically told him to do all the work himself and figure out everything he needed to buy on his own and get back to her. That defeated the entire purpose of her coming out to quote us on site, it's the landscapers job to measure, take notes and tell us what we need to buy for her to install and also to make suggestions to us. She also rushed him through the appointment while he was in the middle of talking to her and said "just get back to me because I have to leave now to be at another appt". He could do it himself but he was injured, so we were trying to give her the business instead but she didn't want to make the sale I guess. The end result was I never got a quote, so she wasted both her time and ours. I will go with a company who is going to measure, take notes and tell me what I need to buy for them to install.

Garden Borders: We shopped around for a few companies and this company did an excellent job at a competitive price. Definitely recommended.
