Called for help on my pool pump that wasn’t working properly and they said they can’t help. They don’t do this. Asked if they can recommend a company whom can and they didn’t know. Not helpful.

I called Mike and he was not able to get to our house because it's out of his location zone, however he took his time on the phone to give me good advice to get our pool to the way we would like it.He was willing to answer any question I had and gave honest advice without getting inpatient. Thank you!

I called them for service at 9 a.m. I was told a service person would call me by 2 p.m. When I had received no call by 4:30 p.m.I called back. Even though they advertise to close at 5 p.m., I got voice mail. I left a message asking to be informed about the status of my service request. I never got a return call. They may know pools, but they’re lousy with people.

Mike is great, he gives amazing customer service, extremely honest as well. Any future pool repairs will only be done by Mike and his team!

I will edit my review based on the response which is a lie! I have the estimate! I got a second opinion. Most people do! The estimate may have been deleted in your server like you said but I have a copy you agreed to make the repairs in September and can send it to you or anyone else! Why lie about it! I posted the estimate you gave no worries, proof is in the pudding!

Got an estimate from them in September for roughly $900 for a pool pump replacement. They came out looked at everything wrote it up however at that time we weren't ready to spend that kind of money. Fast forward to today I am now ready to proceed, they tell me that quote is expired and would need to come out to give a new one. Ok, fine because nothing has changed since they last looked at it. Now they decided they can not repair it due to a type of plumbing used and declined to fix it. I appreciate them declining vs. getting themselves into something they were not qualified for, I respect that. What is concerning is they clearly have unqualified people working for them because they had no issue proceeding with fixing it in September and that is something to consider when going with this company. After this I am super glad I didn't proceed back then because who knows what kind of mess it would have ended up being! When I asked what the difference was between September and now being that it was in the exact same condition and they were the last company to look at it, no response. BEWARE!

I set up a swimming pool in my back yard myself. How ever I could not have done it whth out the help from Mike's pool service, and his right hand man Sean. Those two brothers worked so closely together to help me out and to steer me in the right direction. Not only did they tell me how to do it, they actually came to the house several times to make sure I was doing thing the right way. When I was setting the liner in myself The two of them were right there to lend a helping hand. You could not find anyone in the area that puts the customers first, gives you the best advise, takes care of you the was Mike and his team does. Mikes Pool Service is # 1 by far in my book. I have had Mike's clean my pool for a few month now and it usually looks great. He does not spend much time there, but I figure as long as to pool looks good I really don't care. Yesterday I noticed my pool was green. When I called him, he blamed it on me. Yup, I pay him to clean my pool but it is my fault that the pool is green. He is smug and feels as if he is a pool god. Mike is a dime a dozen but his customer service skills are horrible.

I recently purchased a home with an inground pool and needed the basic help and knowledge to understand the functions of the filter and valves. Shawn came out and helped us fix everything that was wrong with the previous setup and now the pool is flowing better than ever. I tend to have dumb questions, and anytime I call he answers and guides me through them. He does not have to do this but does it anyway. I will continue to use this company for any services I do need, and I will recommend them to other pool owners! Thanks for everything Shawn!

Mike and his team are excellent. They send us a report by email every week letting us know exactly what is going on with our pool and spa. They also make billing easy with PayPal options. He has provided repairs as well that were fixed properly and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend!

Anyone looking to have a green pool? If so, call Mike's Pool Service. We went 2 straight weeks without service from Mike's and a green pool was the end result. We had no idea that they were not servicing us 4th of July week so the following week our pool began to turn green. We thought it would be fixed the following week but to our dismay it got worse leading us to believe they did nothing but drop 2 chlorine tablets in our skimmer basket and went on their way. We sent pictures to Mike letting him know we weren't happy thinking that the owner of the business would be out that day to make it right and fix it. CRAZY ME RIGHT?? Instead we got a text back from Mike telling us it's our fault for not cleaning out the skimmer and filter of dog hair. Last I checked I thought that's what people pay for a WEEKLY service for. So they don't have to worry about things like this. I guess we'll start asking our landscaper if he needs help trimming the bushes and edging the sidewalk too. My advice to Mike would be to take some customer service classes because your people skills suck!! You are in Florida there's many companies that want your business!! Good riddens!!

I requested a quote from Mike's Pool Service to replace a faulty pump and cartridge filter during peek season. Mike showed up the next morning to inspect and provide a quote. Shawn had my new equipment installed within 24 hours. They also provided maintenance instructions. Very courteous and professional.

I had Mike and Shawn replace my filter last September, and did a great job. Last week I had trouble with the filter not latching correctly after cleaning it. I was concerned and called and talked to Mike, who told me he was very busy , but would see what he could do, then in under an hour shawn stopped by ,and fixed the issue in 10 minutes . I really appreciated that he at least stopped by, and it was a minor issue that he fixed and showed me what was wrong, I will use Mike's pool for all my pool issues, thanks guys!!!

I cannot say enough positive things about Mike Tangeman's and his crew's professional and customer service approach to their pool servicing operation. Mike's Pool Service stays ahead of the game by offering quality service to a limited number of clients in their service area, rather than reaching greedily for the almighty dollar and striving for as many clients as possible, while providing mediocre service at a lesser price. Mike and crew do it right, by approaching each and every pool as a separate, living bio organism and they have a committed customer in me. Should I happen to sell my property, they can be assured that I would highly recommend them to the follow-on homeowner of a pool which I care about and have put a lot into. As a retired General Contractor, quality, rather than price-saving and quantity, means a whole heck of a lot more to me. Great job, Mike's Pool Service! Keep up the great work and customer service.

Mike and his company are 5 stars. It is a family operated company with his son and brother Shawn who do an amazing job. The knowledge they have technically and with the business is very in depth. I had a tremendous amount of questions and pool issues. They both were able to answer everything in detail. Beware! Mikes Pool Service is the worst. Our pool always looks terrible 2 day’s after service for the past year… I recently complained for the 1st time about the yellow stains and dirt…They blame it on the fact that the pool isn’t screened in. Their solution was for us to hire them to come out twice a week..Since I do not want to pay for them to come out twice a week, they said they would rather cut ties with our account, since they only have one other pool in the area and it is basically an inconvenience…Keep in mind there are homes on my street upward of 10 million….This is the type of neighborhood you want to market to… Small minded mindset! Mike’s Pool Service did the bare minimum and beyond unprofessional. Think twice before hiring them
