Constraction reviews in Pinellas Park, Florida

A previous stucco repair on one exterior side of our house necessitated repainting that side. In addition, we wanted additional cosmetic enhancements elsewhere on the exterior. Jay of JSL came in with a very reasonable proposal. They fit our job into their schedule very quickly. Mark and Jeff were very professional, and they a did a beautiful job, including matching existing paint. I would recommend JSL without hesitation!

Its going to take a-little time and a-bit long in the tooth to rate the JSL team. But, they are worth taking the time to review.
From the onset meeting with owner Jay we immediately felt a comfort level that we were dealing with a professional. He laid out in detail every step of the work that would be done. We felt his price was fair, not the highest or the lowest of the bids we received.
We established a start date and the team of professionals arrived as scheduled at 7:00 am daily without fail. The professional team set out the scope of the detail agreed upon, began work immediately- there was not alot of talking and absolutely no use of cell phone conversation unless they were ordering more paint. They finished the work day with total clean up and it was always with a smile and a thank you for the opportunity to be working with us. We are nearing the completion of our project after 3 weeks and we have never been more pleased with the finished product. The JSL team is simply amazing! Hence the 5 star rating.

JSL painted my house about 11 years ago and the job really stood up well under Florida’s sun and humidity. That made it an easy decision to hire them again this time.
The house is 2 stories and has a lot of architectural detail that makes it a harder job than most, but Jay and his company did a fantastic job on all of it. Definitely great value for the money.

This is the second time I have used Jay and his crew for painting projects at my house. The first time was to paint the exterior of my house (which is gorgeous). For this project, JSL Painting painted my sad master bedroom, bathroom and vanity. They all look like new! Jay and his crew are skilled and professional painters who know that the key to a great and long lasting paint project is in the prep work. They take time in preparing the project and their painting is meticulous. They are trustworthy and punctual. They also follow-up to ensure that you are satisfied with the project. I will continue to use JSL Painting for future painting project.

JSL is an EXCELLENT to work with. We could not recommend them strongly enough. From start to finish – Jay and his crew are professional, dependable, reliable, and communicative. The preparation, painting, and finishing was top quality. These guys are craftsman! This is our third experience -- (1) interior painting, (2) garage, and (3) exterior painting. We would not hire anyone else to paint our home.

I highly recommend JSL Painting. Jay from JSL Painting came by and looked at my home. He explained in detail what painting services his company will be providing. When I received the quote, his quote had those same details listed which was very important to me. The most important part of the process to me was for them to prep my house before they painted it, and yes, they did a great job prepping my house. For example, after they pressure washed my home, a few cracks were noticeable. So, JSL filled in every crack, and they sealed the house prior to applying two (2) coats of paint. When they completed the project of painting my home from start to finish, I was highly pleased! I didn't think my home could look this great! Also, Jay and his team were highly professional and friendly! THANK YOU, JSL!

We could not be more pleased with JSL Painting from the initial estimate to the final touches. We knew we had a problem when neighbors told us the house had not been power washed when it was previously painted and the paint started to peel. Jay's evaluation was incredibly thorough. He addressed all our concerns and answered questions we hadn't considered. When work started the windows were covered with plastic and any area that could have been damaged was thoroughly protected. The power washing was strong enough to remove much of the old paint and the debris was cleaned up. The painters did a perfect job. Our house looks like new. We highly recommend JSLPainjng and would use them agajn.

Repeat satisfied customer! Had Jay and team do the exterior of our Seminole home last year. Just had them do the interior of our Largo home that my uncle live in getting it ready for sale. They were flexible to our schedule and brought in extra help to stay on schedule when one of their team went down ill. Great professionals and great quality work. Call Jay the owner for help!

What a wonderful experience we received from Jay and his team at JSL Painting. They were extremely helpful with the paint color combinations and great advice for accenting certain parts of the house. The paint quality he uses is the best and you can see what a difference it makes when using a high quality product. The attention to detail and paint craftsmanship is superior and has made our house look brand new and it was built in 2004. We were amazed at the prep work and the great job at masking everything off and protecting everything. The team were so polite, nice and helpful and so thoughtful about making sure the gates were closed so our dogs couldn’t escape. JSL goes beyond to make you happy and do a wonderful job.

Jay and his team were extremely professional and did a great job painting the exterior of our home on the water. They fixed all of the minor wood issues, pressure washed, sealed and applied 2 coats of paint. They were always on time, very courteous and extremely diligent in their work. The house looks great! I would definitely recommend them and will use them again for all painting needs.

Jay and Jeff did an excellent job painting the exterior of my home. From pressure wash, prep, sealing and painting to putting up my new house numbers, everything was perfect. They use top quality products and were very careful about landscaping and cleaning up the area when completed. My neighbors were complementary of the finished results. Jay advised me on color selection and materials which turned out beautiful. I highly recommend this company. Hoping to hire again in the future for interior.

Update: Jay's team completed interior painting for me. This project had specific challenges and the team handled it with ease paying special attention to detail. I highlt recommend this company.

We used JSL painting for an exterior paint job and the process was smooth from start to finish. Upon contacting Jay, he immediately got back to me and came out the next day to walk our property to prepare a quote. For the services provided, the price was very reasonable. His team did excellent work from the pressure washing, sealing, prep/priming, patching and of course, painting. Jay called to check in after the first day of work to ensure everything was going well and he also called once the job was complete to ensure we were happy with the finished product. We are very satisfied with JSL's work and would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Jay and Mark painted the exterior of my house exceptionally well that I don't know where to begin...For starters they both were always prompt and ready to work, very polite in making sure every step of the way that everything was done to all my expectation. Lastly once they finished painting the house it looked exceptionally beautiful and brand new. I love a service where you get what you pay for, and I will definitely call Jay and Mark for future projects. Thank you Jay and Mark you guys are the best

I hired JSL based on the reviews, and could not have been more pleased! Jay and his crew are awesome! They took great care to prep the area first, including cleaning and caulking. I had most of the interior of my house painted, and Jay allowed me to choose the order in which the rooms were painted. It's obvious they take pride in their work. I have had numerous compliments on how great the paint in my house looks. I will definitely use them again. If you are looking for a painter, you don't need to look any further. JSL is by far the best!

I've used a number of painting contractors over the years, none of which begin to compare to JSL Painting. JSL just completed stucco repair and painting of the exterior of my house, and I'm delighted with the results. From the very first phone call I made to JSL Painting, Jay was very responsive. It was immediately clear that he cares about providing good service to his customers, with an equal focus on quality of work. The same is true for all JSL employees who worked on my house - all very professional, conscientious, friendly and efficient with a focus on quality of work. JSL employees consistently cleaned all work areas on a daily basis, and did a thorough clean up upon completion of the job. My search for painting contractors is over! In the future when I have a need for painting, either inside or outside, I'll call JSL Painting. Great company, trustworthy - will do what they say, competitive pricing for quality work, and a pleasure to work with.

JSL did a fantastic job painting our home! Jay is running a tight ship here, his team including Ricky and Dodge was extremely punctual and professional. They approved all colors and details with us as they went along. They were very thorough and courteous. This company really goes above and beyond. They even brought in the garbage cans for us. Very happy with the results and I would highly recommend them. Thank you again guys.

JSL painting was and excellent choice for painting the interior of our townhome. Jay gave came out and gave us an estimate for our job which was reasonably prices. His employees were very professional and did great work just as they promised. They showed up when they said they would and completed the work on time. We are very happy with JSL Painting and will use them again in the future for sure.

Jay and his team recently painted the exterior of our home. They were very professional, and the quality of work was top-notch. JSL spent several days on the prep work, which is key to a successful and long-lasting paint application. We are very pleased with the results and would recommend JSL Painting without hesitation. They have done a beautiful job for us!

JSL was terrific to work with for the exterior house painting and I couldn’t be happier with the work that they performed. Not only did the painting come out great, they repaired some crumbling windowsills so they looked like new. They communicated well throughout the project, set clear expectations on the work they were doing and did everything as promised and then some. Their crew was timely, very detailed oriented, and cleaned up each day to minimize any disruption. I’m impressed with their work and would recommend JSL to any homeowner that is looking to make their house look like new again.

This is the second time that I have used JSL to paint the exterior of my house which is over 75 years old. Older houses typically present challenges but having used Jay before, I knew that he was up to the task. On his initial visit, he listened to my issues and concerns and in his proposal, addressed each of them. He scheduled the job expeditiously and his crew worked continuously to complete the job in 6 business days with no disruption to my normal routine. Of particular note is the handling of the front entrance door. Years of water splattering on the door from the front stoop had caused noticeable deterioration. Jay's crew completely sanded the door to remove any loose material and the old varnish and re-stained and re-varnished the door so that it looks like a new door.

I am completely satisfied with Jay's responsiveness and the work that was done and would have no hesitation in using him in any future work. I highly recommend JSL to anyone who needs to have any painting done.

We had JSL Painting paint the outside of our house 5 years ago and when we had a new job to paint the lanai, we didn’t hesitate to call Jay for an estimate. Jay arrived the next morning, listened carefully, gave us his ideas, and emailed a thorough estimate quickly.

Communication about paint color and small details was great. The crew arrived on time, covered the sliding door, the floor, and other surfaces completely with drop cloths and plastic. They even covered our car in case the wind carried any paint.

They communicated when they had to leave briefly, and returned quickly to finish the job. Clean up was excellent. The crew left us some paint for touch ups after we get the next part of the project complete.

Overall, attention to detail and communication was great. We’re happy with both jobs JSL painting has done for us. We’d hire them again in the future, no question.
