Landcrafters in Clearwater, FL has been the very best landscape service that my family has ever had. Their management staff are extremely caring, professional, courteous, and helpful. The teams they send out to do the hands on work have all been the best in the business. And they clearly love what they do. Totally knowledgeable about the care of the trees, bushes, plants, etc. Their landscaping talents are amazing; honestly, they are like artists in shaping and trimming...meticulous and passionate about their trade. Their landscaping has been so beautiful that it puts a smile on my face everytime I look at the yard. They are consistent in sending the same teams, and we have truly enjoyed knowing these outstanding women and men.

My husband and I are avid gardeners and take great pride and joy in the care, health and presentation of our home and gardens. We can now travel, be away from over home for over a month, and know that everything is cared from - from our trees to weeding. Landcrafters has been an excellent selection to take great care of our landscaping needs. After eleven years as the Treasurer of our HOA, with much foliage and lawn maintenance needs, we finally found the right one last year.

However, they do appear to get along well with management companies

LandCrafter's does a wonderful job tending to our 30 unit townhome property. The crew works fast to keep the yard maintained and the hedges trimmed.

On a scale of 1-10 (1 low 10 high) I give LandCafters (LC) a 12. My high regard for LC began almost immediately when I met with consultant Brent Wastney. I didn’t feel rushed as he listened and took notes while I explained my goals for a unique backyard garden. Soon he was making recommendations for the types of trees and plants that would meet my criterion. Approximately a week later I received a detailed plan and proposal. With a few modifications we went with that plan.

A few weeks later planting began. Brent was there along with Matt (Operations Manager) and Tracy (Crew Leader). The property was prepared including bringing in top soil prior to planting. All the trees and plants were placed according to the plan before planting so we could see exactly what it would look like and to make final adjustments. Tracy’s crew took their time making sure each tree and plant was arranged and planted properly.

I had envisioned a large piece of driftwood as a center piece for the garden. Both Brent and I knew finding such a piece would be a challenge. A few days after the planting had been completed Alison, my wife, called me to the backyard. There, placed exactly where I had envisioned was the perfect piece of driftwood Matt found while preparing another property. That’s the type of customer service you hope for but seldom receive.

Immediately birds began using the driftwood as a staging area before flying to a feeder and butterflies started arriving. Here are a few pictures as proof.

Shelby was absolutely amazing to work with. From start to finish she was knowledgeable, attentive and thoughtful about her design. I loved that we could see conceptual images of the plants in our landscaping. That was a game changer for us. The landscapers who worked to plant the plants did an amazing job! It was so hot outside and I never heard one complaint. They were so friendly and fun to work with.

LandCrafters, and Charles King, designed the area around our condo. I’ve been anxious to have this done since the hurricane destroyed the area. I’m very pleased with the design and the.genuine interest Charles King and his assistants took in the project.

As the President of a medium sized HOA, I cannot recommend Landcrafters. It was all about getting in and out of the community as quickly as possible. There was no attention to detail. The agreement was terminated a little over 6 months due to non performance.

We just finished converting our lawn from grass to garden with Landcrafters and we’re very happy with the process and the outcome. Brent did a great garden design and provided a digital picture of how the garden would look in my yard along with information about each specific plant. He followed through to be sure everything was executed as discussed. He was really a pleasure to work with. Tom did the irrigation, very thorough and knowledgeable and Cheryl in the office was very responsive and helpful. Really glad we chose them to do this project! Highly recommend.

If you’re looking for reliable, knowledgeable, talented landscapers and designers, work with LandCrafters. In the past finding professional landscaping services was a struggle. Our Account Manager Brent changed all that! Brent spent time asking us thoughtful questions about what we were looking for and our expectations. Only after he fully understood our vision for the house, did he share two designs for our front and back gardens, and a very accurate proposal. We think it’s important to point out the effectiveness of Brent’s approach. Of the three landscaping companies we spoke with, we received Brent’s proposal last but we were impressed with how complete it was. He took care to include all the services we needed for our landscaping to thrive. We were so happy with the results that we asked Brent to have crews move a palm tree, install Astro turf, drainage along the fence, another flower bed, update our entryway container plantings, seed/sod our front yard and repair our irrigation. We also want to recognize Matt, and the LandCrafters crews for their behind-the-scenes work to make our landscaping projects successful. The landscaping has absolutely improved our curb appeal! LandCrafters is a fully staffed, well run company, not a Sole Proprietorship which means service is always available. We appreciate all the work and the relationship we’ve built with Brent and all at LandCrafters. We highly recommend this company.

Landcrafters takes exceptional care of several communities I manage. As a very busy property manager, the communication and follow through they provide is invaluable. I can make one call and know things will be done. Kaylie Gibbons and her team have always been proactive in teaching the board and I about the plants, what works best where, plant care practices and identifying issues before they become big problems. Hands down the worst company that I have ever seen. If I could give it zero stars, I would. They have been at my HOA last few years, and instead of cleaning, they come by and make a mess. Blowing all cuttings and dust from the street on your home, patio, doors, windows, instead of using common sense and blowing away from the building. When asked not to do so, they walk by my unit and skip it completely, make threatening signs into my camera. They blow grass clippings into my rocks after they are done cutting grass in the other side of the driveway, and just leave them there. I dread them coming to our community, instead of trying to do better, they do worse ,or just not do anything at all. No matter how many times they have been asked not to blow dust and clippings on my unit doors, windows, and my patio, nothing changes. When they are done, I have to go out there and clean everything up myself. They get paid for the job they are supposed to do, but refuse to do it right. I would say stay away from this company as far as you can, I held myself from writing this for a while now, but it’s getting worse, not better, they are absolutely incompetent, and they should be ashamed of themselves.

I hired JR Landscape Services to completely remodel my front yard, including installing new Travertine to seamlessly match my existing driveway, adding decorative rock, and restoring my current Travertine.
They absolutely exceeded my expectations. The work was outstanding, they stayed right on schedule, and their crew was knowledgeable, hardworking, and professional from start to finish.
In the Tampa Bay Area, finding a truly reliable contractor is difficult — JR Landscape Services is the exception. I was so impressed that I’ve already hired them for Phase 2 (my backyard).

Our front yard was a complete mess - mostly patches of grass and the drought has been making it worse. JR Landscaping came in with some excellent design ideas, then executed by excavated a few inches of soil and transformed the yard (Xeriscape/Zeroscape) with a beautiful structural stone wall, landscaping lights on our oak trees (and the new wall), and added several different sections of rocks (white marble chip and river rock) on the ground to replace the old lawn. Also, rows of Clusia were planted for privacy on both sides, and some Agave were added to the landscaping as drought tolerant plants. Getting many, many compliments even after a couple of weeks!
