Don't believe anything the salesmen tell you. It's all lies from the tax rebate to the amount it will save you on your electricity bill. And so far the customer service for me has been very poor

Going solar seemed to good to be true, but going through was the best decision I could’ve made. Daniel Was very helpful and patient in making sure we understood and got the best experience possible.

I purchase the system 2 years ago and I was told that if I move I would be waived for 1 moving and I decide to purchase the system. Now I need to move the system to my new home and nobody is answering me to attend what I was promised. It is really a shame when you offer something and don’t deliver. For me this shows a non professional company!!!!

I purchased a home with system already installed. When a microinverter failed I called and was told to contact Enphase directly. I did, got a new microinverter shipped from CA to FL. It arrived roughly 5 days after order, but no one from SS Inc. contacted me stating it was in their possession. I called Enphase back after a few weeks had passed and was told part had already been delivered. I called SS Inc. and was told an "installer" would contact me back to setup install time. A week went by, no contact, so I reached out again. Was told an installer would be out by the end of the week. No contact again. Next thing I know my dogs are barking up a storm and I hear someone on my roof. Installer had shown up, not knocked on door or called to say he was at my home. Had entered back yard and was already on my roof with his power tools. Total time from receipt of part to install, 22 days. To me, even with Covid, not acceptable. And now I receive a bill for $175; $95 for service call, $80 to replace part. It's not like they came out twice. Poor customer service. Not too excited that I may have to use them again in the future.

Johnny Filpo was the sales guy that helped with our solar. Very professional and answered all my questions that I had. I also was “on the fence” about getting solar but it’s honestly the best investment I put towards my home.

Don't get anything from this company. Bad service and don't appreciate there customers. The manager e er available to talk. If you have a problem with the system they hide under the warranty to no provide fast and efficient service. They lie to you from the begging telling you going to get a rebate from the government when really the IRS keep the money .

2013 Dean Greene sold me 40 panels and 2 inverters. His company Solar Specialist installed. Worked well until around mid 2020 as Dean and his son Chris said at purchase. I paid cash for everything and signed over any incentives from government. I own the system. They gave 10 year warranty on all materials and 5 year on labor. Came to find out those warranty times are unusually short. Most today are giving 20-30 years for both labor and materials. Almost 6 months ago I was directed from Dean to deal with Chris. I was told Dean retired. It took Chris weeks to come out, like many other reviews "they said they were very busy". When he finally came he said at least one of the 2 inverters went bad. A month or so later he SS rewired / tested the inverters and said we were fixed. I sent them photos of the inverters not working almost every day showing its still not working. A month later they came out again, said the inverter manufacturer told them its the Canadian Solar panels not their inverters. They tried doing something else, then told me it was fixed. It wasn't and I texted picture almost daily again. Response from Chris was almost nil, whenever he did respond "we are just so busy" was always stated. Another month later they came out under the guise that Canadian Solar told them they need to test the panels. I asked what the used panels are worth, Chris basically said close to nothing. Likely 10 cents on the dollar. I asked him why he would waste expensive labor and time. Terrible business decision especially since I offered to pay for half, or more, of any new panels. I just wanted the system working. Of course Chris reminded me that he's not charging me for any of these attempts to get the system working. My response is people don't get paid for trying they get paid for doing, and I was willing to participate in that payment as well. Questioned him since our TECO bill was now higher because the purchased under warranty system Solar Specialist sold and installed is costing us money, would they pay that bill. Of course no was the answer. So now it's 6 months later. Chris is still too busy, telling me to call the office, not him. Stating they are waiting for Canadian Solar, for a few months now. Oh but 4-5 months ago told me they do not make this panel anymore. Which would break up uniformity of the ascetics. To which I offered to pay for most of the new, better, non Canadian Solar panels. He had no interest nor any responsibility.

Bottom line, I got ripped off by Solar Specialist. Old Dean likely wouldn't have handled this all the same. But young Chris seems to have different values.

Do yourself a favor. Do not trust Chris Greene nor Solar Specialist. The true test of a business is not when everything is running perfect. The true test is how they handle problems. How they value customer needs. For this reason I give them 1 star because there is no negative stars available.

Take it from a guy who got ripped off. There are other companies, you now know about Solar Specialist. Can't wait to see their response to this review. It'll be like how innocent they are and how they didn't charge for "trying to fix" the system, and how busy they are, and how the covid is at fault, and how its everyone and everything else fault.

I’ve had a horrible experience. From the start it seemed like a great investment all just to get you locked in. After installation forget about it. I’ve been dodged with my important questions and n top of that My home is now damaged.My roof is now cracking more and more everyday. I am beyond disappointed and wish I’ve never been “persuaded” by the salesman constantly coming to my door.
