Scam company. Period. Have submitted service requests through the app and left multiple voicemails. Expect a reply about "we have checked our voice mail and ticket system". Have already engaged a lawyer that is headed toward a class action with many clients suing this company. Check their website site location photos not even a business looks like an apartment they run out of this time.

Ever since we went with Solar Specialist we have NOT paid Teco a penny. Our sales rep Johnny Filpo did an excellent job presenting all the information and answering all 100 questions we had. Chris and his crew did an awesome job with the install and we couldn’t be happier going with Solar Specialist!!

Definitely enjoyed doing business with Solar Specialist, Inc. Daniel was our rep and he was amazing. Answered all of our questions (we had a lot) and provided clear explanation of the entire process. Thank you so much. We are glad to be part of the Solar Specialist, Inc family and saving money.

Very pleased with our system , solar specialist has been extremely helpful throughout the entire process . Especially during the hurricane . Jonny Filpo explained how everything would be done to the T . He did not over promise anything and explained everything exactly how it went . Very proud he still helps me till this day when ever I have a question .

The initial interaction was between my wife and a person whom I assume gets them leads. She explained that it would be better to speak to me. They came right at dinner time. I told them my wife had dinner almost ready and didnt have alot of time but had a few questions. I asked about the watts and volts of the panels they typically use. They fumbled for the majority of the conversation on my FIRST question. I asked a few more BASIC questions to which again they didnt have a clear answer. They basically just wasted my time and were ANYTHING but solar specialists. I giggled inside when I read his shirt and he didnt know things I felt he should have. I believe he was just another salesman and not a tech nevertheless he should know about watts and volts right?? I was in sales too and there is one thing that stood out from ALL my trainings. They said the ONLY reason a customer says NO is because you didnt show value to them in your product. After the poor interaction I had I came inside to cold dinner and was pissed becasue I felt like I knew more about solar than HE did. Regardless he was unable to show value to me only that they are diven by money. I also looked them up online and seen their BBB rating "F" things become more clear.
Update: The guy came back and asked me to remove the review actually DROVE. up and cased my home and threatened retaliation if my review wasn’t removed. I’m asking for the owner to contact me at this point as i’m filling a police report now as well.

Update: 10/5/23 took ya long enough to reply....sad sad. Nobody is THAT busy.... I disagree sir, I made them aware. Your response seems closer to a pitch than an apology. I stand behind my review. (Your employee (s) as I believe they are in a relationship) and basically lied to their boss. Sophisticated inverter better than my Victron?? LMAO. Trust me I know more than you think. I use a pure sine wave device myself and there are MANY similarities. Please sir your digging your hole deeper. I doubt you even know ohms law! Please don't ever return to this area again!! Your employees are a JOKE!!

Solar Sal really took a lot of time to expain thjngs. Im very happy with my savings. FPL was really strainjng me and he helped me free up a lot of money. I highly recommend them

We had finally decided to go solar!!! Johnny Filpo was the sale guy that help me step by step.He explained how the system works and it was very detail on explaining the whole process. We will recommend him and his company 100%. Best solar company in town.

Be careful of the enticing offer of the tax rebate the salesmen will tell you of. We were told that if we apply the 30% rebate to the loan within 18 months, our monthly payment will stay at $160 a month for the life of the loan. If we dont use any of the rebate within that first 18 month period, the payment will go up to $240 a month. So my gf and I go to HR block to file, and we are told by the tax preparer that the rebate is paid out over the course of 3 tax years, 33% of the rebate each of the next 3 tax filings. So we will receive only 1 payment of the rebate before the 18 months is up. Which means our payment will increase. Electric wouldve been cheaper because we avg about $190 a month for the year. They hide the truth. Very shady business practices.
Also watch for the date of installation on the paperwork. If you get the panels installed in 2024, and thats the date on the paperwork, you can not file the panels until you file taxes from 2024. Which would be in 2025. Keep in mind for the timing of acquiring the rebate.

Power continually goes out during the day and the extra battery that was purchased so we do not lose power never kicks in. Continually paying for an electric bill and these solar panels that DO NOTHING!! It is a joke, a scam, and a waste of money!!

Though Solar Specialists will work with their clients, they will take their time doing it, meaning clients will have to be very patient for them to come through eventually as they did for us. Though it has been a long journey in dealing with this business, and while I am grateful for the owner's time, effort, and great deed, after some personal consideration, I come to realize that we were lied to by the salesman rather than the solar business itself. I blame much blame on my lack of research on solar systems. But we all learn from this kind of experiences. I also wish we could have dealt with the owner instead of Mr. Godwin. I am editing this review as of 11/3/2022 because finally and currently our monthly utility electrical has decreased significantly. We hope this continues as such.

Salvatore made it very easily understandable and he beat other prices. I'm happy I went with Solar Specialist I'm making more electric than I use. I highly recommend them and the wonderful crew

Hans is very knowledgeable and professional! He explained every step of the process thoroughly and in terms that were understandable. I was apprehensive to begin with but he and Solar Specialist have delivered!

Alex and tyler are Very good at their job and a pleasure to talk to and work with. Deserves more then 5 stars for sure. Got my install done yesterday and the install crew was top notch. 2 of the guys stayed here to finish and wire it in after dark.

Julio is an excellent and professional consultant. He helped me every step of the way. He was very patient and very knowledgeable. I would recommend him to all my friends and family. I'm finally going solar! Other companies were not even close to the incredible incentives that I was able to receive through Julio.

Very good process with going solar I looked at a couple different companies, but ended up here and everything from the initial process to installation went smooth thank you guys very much.

This company will get a sell no matter what. Worst decision I’ve ever made. Now I’m paying a loan on the solar panels, water and sewage, which is basically equal to the same bill I’ve always paid. Thanks for drilling holes in my roof.

We went through getting permits and had the install scheduled for Thursday. On Wednesday they came out and inspected our roof. There were issues with the roof. No body contacted us to let us know. We waited all morning for our install. I finally called and was told, we are not getting the install done and our sales rep will contact us. I am still waitng for the contact from him. It seems they would of inspected the roof before pulling permits.

I would not recommend this company at all. Should get negative stars if possible. Show up and make it sound so great and easy. Then immediately get called a liar 2 days after visit by some sort of manager. Then set up and inspection and never show up for it at all. Then cancel the job because they couldn't get it inspected all without a single contact. Terrible customer service. After digging deeper into website and BBB I was going to cancel anyways. Just to find out it was already canceled without my knowledge. Definitely do your research and be careful with you decisions. F rated on BBB. that tells you all you need to know

Great service. We had met with a few different companies and was very happy with Daniel. And with Nick explained everything, and we're installed and turned on and everything was going good.
