I was surprised how easy it was to get the processed started. Sal walked me through the process and explained how it works. I have seen a tremendous drop in my electric bill. Sal continues to follow up and make sure the process is great. I have been approached several times since I have been in my home the last 30 years but no one made it make sense like he did and that is why I finally joined the solar family.

Thought my solar inverter went out. Another company wanted to charge me an absurd amount of money to come out and inspect it, then charge me again for a second visit, and again for the labor, and they didn't know how long the process would take. This company was way more affordable, came out the next day, and fixed the inverter issue without having to replace it. Best solar company I've worked with so far.

Daniel explained all options thoroughly making it an easy decision. With no money upfront. The system was installed soon after. One issue I had was remedied the next day by the crew. Good job Solar Specialists

Great experience, good on the time line , was able to get installed before the tax credits disappear

We have been having issues with one of our panels not getting any charge, and another one at low charge for about a year. We have called many times, they have sent 2 technicians that both said the same thing, the panel was bad and needed changing.
The company said they needed to get the warranty for them but nothing has happened. No call back with updates or anything, every time we call they say the same thing, "they are waiting" and they "put a note in the system".
Today I am now 2 panels fully down and 2 getting very low charge, still nothing new from them, just the run around as always.
I keep having to pay my loan for those panels monthly and on top of that now paying way more to duke energy to make up for those panels. This is unacceptable.

I've had 3 Solar companies disappear and declare bankruptcy in the past 4 years. I was nervous when reaching out to have work done on my solar panels, but the team at Solar Specialist immediately put me at ease. Their team communicated effectively, answered all my questions and was able to service my unit quickly after receiving parts from the manufacturer. I thoroughly appreciate their patience and rate their customer service as excellent. I would recommend this company to anyone with needs for solar panels and related equipment.

We were so "on the fence" about going with roof top solar, but after month eight, I so wish we had done it much sooner! I much prefer paying for something I own rather that paying each month to the utility. My wife's biggest reservation was about aesthetics... and after the install was complete she could not have been more pleased with the job that Chris and the team at Solar Specialists did with our solar plant... The one thing my wife was most concerned with was "curb appeal" and no panels on the roof facing the front of the house. Chris sent several designs and ultimately we came to a solar plant design that she approved of.

Trust me, we are true skeptics, and I did my due diligence obtaining quotes. Solar Specialists was not only the one company that came to me on site, but they were the only company that gave me a true understanding of what was involved and set my mind at ease that there were very little unknowns when it came time to make my decision.

With respect to the quality of the equipment that they recommended and installed... I again did my research and found it to be above and beyond what the others were offering. I could not be happier (based on my research) that I received a state of the art solar plant that would take me well into my retirement years and free of my utility bill.

I have not had a bill over $10 since commissioning the system...

While there were issues (not on behalf of the solar crew or installation) Chris went above and beyond and was extremely helpful with navigating through them. I can not more highly recommend a solar company with respect to quality, service, and before and after customer service responsiveness. ex. I just emailed Chris a really stupid question I thought I already knew the answer to (on a week day night at 8PM) and he responded to me within minutes.

This is a top notch operation, and a highly recommended company if you are thinking about solar power... the process can seem like a leap, but they will make the distance so much shorter.

Before you get into this company think about it twice or more than twice.
This company is not what they sell you, totally the opposite.
After you get into it and they get you, that’s it.
You’ll have to hired a lawyer just like I’m doing right now.

Worst place to deliver to besides BJ's warehouse.

Pretty much a one stop shop for any business or warehouse for tools paint etc.

Avoid at all costs. They had our Ryobi electric lawnmower for months. Very unresponsive. We eventually gave them hundreds of dollars to get the lawnmower back without the original issue being fixed.

Recent reviews here and on Yelp show this is typical. The older (positive) reviews seem to be for different people, maybe a different business.
