House Cleaning reviews in Sarasota, Florida

The Cleaning Authority runs a very organized business! Each team takes pride in their work and it shows in the little touches they do. A big shout out to Team 7 for fixing our oven!! Don’t know what you did that we didn’t but it works again.

I am very dissatisfied with the initial to be a deep cleaning.

Not sure what was done. Raided a rushed dust off and I can’t say vacuumed because I found dirt on obvious areas like carpets.

No sink, microwave, air fryer , oven, my daughter desk or mirrors , they didn’t even clean under dining room or breakfast table.

Like I said, this could have been done in less than 30 minutes without trying by me!

I don’t want to hear excuses. I just want to see what you propose in order for me to give you a second opportunity.

I was told on my visit with Sadie to quote that a deep cleaning would be done , nothing about today was even considered a cleaning by a supposed to be a cleaning company.

We’ve been using Cleaning Authority for a few months and have been very impressed with the crews that come and with the office staff. They arrive as scheduled and have been flexible when we needed to make changes. They’ve also been great with special requests to focus on certain areas of the house. We are really happy with their services and highly recommend!

From 5 stars to 1. The house has wiped up but NOT cleaned. It’s become more apparent with time.

This morning before the cleaning crew came I sent photos of the mildew in the primary shower and asked to have special attention. After the cleaning, the mildew was still everywhere. My husband scrubbed everything clean - just needed some scrubbing instead of wiping with no elbow grease. When I sent photos and explained to the office, asking for a discount based on the lack of cleaning, I was told that the crew could come back - no discounts. Since we cleaned it ourselves already - after asking for them to pay special attention before coming to clean - I’m not pleased!

I asked for the franchise owner to call me. Still waiting.

In addition to the shower, I left a post it note on the fridge door stating not to use any wet product on the refrigerator door - the manufacturer instructions are to use a dry microfiber cloth only. It was completely streaked from them using some cleaning product and not wiped dry. Also the sink was cleaned with an abrasive cleaner that scratched the sink.

Our home is only 3 months old and The Cleaning Authority has been the only cleaning personnel to clean since before we moved in. We used them for the post construction cleaning, too.

I’m very disappointed and won’t have them come back.

I called Amy on the Friday before Thanksgiving in a panic because I was hosting the holiday dinner at my house and I didn't have time to clean the house to a required level of acceptability for company. The Merry Maid teams were already full, but Amy asked 2 of her teams to converge on my home after they finished their other jobs THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING!! They did a wonderful job! They even added touches you would find checking into a clean hotel room! Fancy folded towels and they even folded the last square on the toilet paper roll to a point! I will call on Amy and her team again to clean my home!

Orlando was very professional and great to work with! I was having a stressful day at work n issues with my water not working in the home and didn’t have the ability to quickly run to the place. Orlando dealt With my frustrations and remained polite n professional throughout the whole process. He was helpful and attentive and his staff did a wonderful job! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

The girls are very professional, everything is perfect, they are very detailed and always arrive on time.

They spent the majority of the time on their cell phones. When I asked for a counter and surfaces to be wiped down, along with the floors to be vacuumed and mopped, they cleaned the fan and the blinds. I personally had to clean my own family room. I had already clean the toilet put bleach down in the shower. I cleaned my entire bedroom and again all it needed was to be vacuumed and wiped down.. I had to take every item on the shelf or on the floor and put it on top of the couch in order for them to effectively do only the things that I requested $120 later, I would never ever recommend this service. They conscientiously stalled their service because I would not upgrade to a deep cleaning for $280 after they agreed to $130 and I had two supervisors call me during the cleaning process I would consider this whole thing a scam

I had a bad experience about the customer service person called to pay the bill.
I did not set up the service. Service was set up by Rental agent.
First call itself - not even asking to pay the bill.
But threatening about lien, cannot sell the property, fine, collection agency, etc. etc.… Bill will be almost double, if I do not pay + collection agency bill.
Left a voice mail also same in another line. I do not know how he got my Canadian number.
Very rude manners. He should ask to pay the bill from whom he set up the service.
Bathtub was not cleaned properly first time. I complained about this. They came second time to clean it.
I paid the bill immediately after checking with the rental agent, to avoid these nonsense.
Bad experience - phone call.

Gave the services of Merry Maids to my niece fir her birthday and she loved what they did. Deep cleaning was fantastic. Alyssa was terrific and I appreciated her help in getting this done for me. Fantastic outfit and have used Merry Maids for 5 years in Manasquan New Jersey to clean for a fiend in a convent . We are so happy with your service .

My house was under remodeling and dust was all over it, and they clean my house and is now dust free, thank you to the Merry Maids team.

Absolute impeccable service, kind, compassionate! I needed a cleaning service to do a "move out clean" last minute after we moved to a new home. I called at 7am and they were there and began cleaning within 30 minutes. The new owner of our sold home showed up unexpectedly and demanded that Merry Maids clean for 6 hours with a detailed clean ON MY DIME!!! Alicia handled the situation in the most professional manner. If I could give this company 100 stars I would because they not only came within an hour of me calling, and had to quickly revise their scheduling for the day to accommodate me but, handled EVERYTHING with GRACE AND INTEGRITY!!!

I came to the Sarasota area without any personal connections so I had to find someone I could trust without a recommendation. When I spoke with Amy during my initial call to Merry Maids she put my mind at ease: she assured me they were a family run business and they had generations of experience behind them. All of the women who have come to my home to clean have been friendly and efficient, they're in and out as quickly as possible without cutting corners on the cleaning. Matt has also been conscientious enough to come and inspect the work they're doing to assure quality and customer satisfaction. I couldn't ask for a better experience, I am very happy!

We had Merry Maids clean our elderly aunt's house upon her moving to a retirement community after 20+ years in the same house. The house needed a thorough deep cleaning after years of multiple cats and lack of upkeep. Merry Maids was thorough, professional and a pleasure to have in the house. The place looks a thousand times better, and I would not hesitate to hire them again, or recommend them to everyone!
