The whole Tropical Gardens team is amazing. They helped us from beginning to end as we redid our whole backyard and built a pool. They are patient, honest, and professional. We would highly recommend Tropical Gardens!

Tropical Gardens is well managed and does a great job taking care of all of my wide variety of landscaping. They did new landscape and hardscape and much improved on the last landscaper. Always responsive when new issues arise. And, they care!

Tried multiple other landscape companies before using tropical gardens and will never use anyone else again. Ryan came out multiple times and was extremely patient when we where bouncing around ideas. The crew was extremely professional and the finished job exceeded our expectations

I hired Ryan to re-do my yard because the house I bought was not maintained for the two years it sat vacant. Ryan and his team were so respectful and he had amazing ideas and put them into plan. That was not an easy job! It looks like a completely property! He went above and beyond what I was asking. I could not be happier with the results and would highly recommend him to anyone.

This company maintains our HOA and has far exceeded our expectations. All of our previous landscapers have always done the bare minimum and told us that they are just following the contract. I have had Tropical Gardens design a complete yard overhaul for my old yard. Ryan and his team took out old sod (weeds) put down layer of compost, installed new sod, decorative mulch trim, new plants including many flowering. It became the talk of the neighborhood and earned me " home of the month" in my community. In fact two other homes hired Tropical Gardens to do their yards after seeing mine. I also trust Tropical Gardens with my weekly lawn maintenance and pest control. My next project for Tropical Gardens is irrigation installation. I would totally recommend any and all landscape design and services to Tropical Gardens, and Ryan and his team are so nice, and attentive to detail.

We hired Ryan at Tropical Gardens to redo our front yard. It had been 'hardscaped', that is covered with pebbles by the previous owners. Ryan sat with us and discussed the look we wanted as well as the various plant options. He is very knowledgeable about plants and had many excellent suggestions. He and his crew removed the tons of rocks. Then we placed the plants, adjusting as necessary. The many trees and shrubs were then planted, and irrigation and lighting was installed. The result is beyond our expectations. Several of our neighbors have given us complements on the change. We had a small problem with the irrigation and he promptly came by to correct the problem. The quality of the plant material and trees is excellent, they are healthy and robust. Ryan and his tem are great!

Wow! What an awesome experience. I would highly recommend Tropical Garden Landscape to transform a Florida property from nothing but rocks and overgrown beds to a stunning garden oasis. Ryan E and Ryan P were excptional at putting together a design/plan, following through on their commitments/timelines and communicating daily on progress. There were lots of challenges to overcome on this large project in a very short timleine but the hardworking team under 1) Isaac, there are too many to mention but they were outstanding - each of them who dug and planted through back breaking heat, 2) Clemente and Israel, who completed pure artistry with their stone work 3) Selim and team who executed on the irrigation with military precision 4) Jake and team on raising fences in record time .... the entire team were a pleasure to work with and delivered a dream garden that our family will enjoy for years to come. I've lived in Sarasota for 5 years now and have worked with a few landscapers but Tropical Gardens is by far the best. My team arrives on team, goes about their work in an efficient and thorough way, and the office staff is always responsive to even my smallest request. I recommend them highly.

We have been using Tropical Gardens for around six months and they are spectacular. We use them for everything; they are a one-stop shop handling weekly maintenance, fertilization, irrigation and special projects. Billing is easy and they are very quick to respond to any question or concern. You will not be disappointed.

I am lost for words how amazing Tropical Garden Landscape did with my lawn. They came up with a beautiful redesign for my front yard. Every time I pull into my driveway there is a huge smile on my face. My house finally feels like a home. The Tropical Garden team was very friendly and blew my expectations. I had three months to revitalize a 3-acre estate on the water after it was being poorly maintained by a few different service providers who were probably underqualified, but whom had also grown complacent. The grass and plants were dying, weeds had taken over the lawn, they had clipped many of the sprinkler heads with the mowers, and they just weren’t doing much maintenance in the inadequate and unacceptable one hour they were spending there a week. This was my third landscape team in 2.5 years.

I was desperate.

I was given a Tropical Gardens card by someone who had seen their work and I called to add them to my interview process. Ryan actually beat me to the property for our meeting and was already looking around and making mental notes. He immediately showed interest, concern, a sense of urgency and understanding, and had a positive and realistic attitude about turning things around.

Prior to meeting Ryan in person, my first call was to Miguel, whose card I had, a foreman with the company, who informed me Ryan was out of town but was so lovely to chat with him. I was already very biased by his demeanor as I work with about 40 different service providers at this property. And courtesy is a must.

Ryan spent ample time with me walking the grounds and proposing solutions and strategies, and was very meticulous and thorough when it came to my proposal. He was very attentive and accommodating when I told him how the home operated. I still had two other companies left to interview, but I can honestly say I was going with this company about 7 minutes into our conversation. I was also equally thrilled that Tropical Gardens handles irrigation, landscape lighting, and weed/pest control as well. Because I needed all of that, too, and had been working with a different person for each and wasn’t in receipt of the quality I was looking for.

Fast forward to five months later, the yard looks as one would expect an estate to look. They did a massive overhaul of the neglect and got the systems functional and restored right away. The lawn is now a lush, welcoming, vivid green, the plants have regained their splendor and then some, the trees are manicured appropriately, the landscape lights have been repaired properly, and the irrigation is back up to snuff.

Both Ryan and Adrienne (in the office) are responsive, professional, organized, enjoyable, and such a pleasure to work with. The crews are hardworking, focused, dedicated, and work swiftly. They also take amazing pride in their work. And Miguel ended up as the supervisor on our property, and just as his voice told me when I first spoke with him on the phone, I knew we’d be in good hands.

I can’t rave enough about this company. They transported me from pulling my hair out and chasing guys to do their job to absolutely and completely taking the worry out of all things exterior. We are all so happy. I’m very happy to chat with anyone about my experience!

I have to say that Tropical Gardens and Ryan were probably the most professional and capable group we have dealt with in our year of renovations. The design was excellent, the installation was great, and the the results are beautiful. We were very impressed at how careful they were and how they thought if everything. Lighting, irrigation, cleanup. Excellent.

Ryan and his team led by Miguel completed a large landscaping job at our new house in Sarasota and did a magnificent job! It was amazing to see the existing plants and trees absolutely look so much more beautiful and lush after they installed sod and limestone, and mulched, weeded, trimmed and planted new plants around the entire property. Their level of knowledge of tropical plants and the best areas to plant them is exactly what we need since we are new to this terrain. They didn’t simply install, but designed the installation to make it pop. We have complete confidence in Ryan and his team, love dealing with Adrienne in the office too, and look forward to Miguel, George and the crew providing us with worry-free maintenance of our property’s landscaping needs. We dealt with 2 other landscapers in only 2 months here which were both disappointing-and we are so glad to have found Tropical Gardens who are all extremely knowledgeable, professional and hard-working...and have a hands-on approach to handling clients and caring for our property.

Ryan, the owner came out to my home and gave me an estimate for $23,000 to redo parts of my yard. When we met I was clear that I wanted them to be responsible for any damage to the outside lighting as we had spend allot on it. His team arrives as planned and in 2 days competed the project. After they left I realized that many of the lights did not work. After communication back and forth with threats of leans and a terrible attitude from him, I realized they would not fix what they had damaged. I paid the bill but want to warn everyone that you need to deal with this company carefully or not at all.

It is impossible to overstate how pleased we are! Tropical Gardens made a beautiful layout for our landscaping, then did an excellent job communicating with us. The crew that did the work was experienced, efficient and professional. They explained what they were doing each step of the way. Owner Ryan Empey was there to make sure we were happy. We were. We are! We recommend them without hesitation.
