Our recent work was an update to the original design, adding palms and other trees, as well as much needed lighting that we initially opted out of. Steve’s design and the crew that worked with Joe are so great. Can’t forget the office staff. We stopped by unannounced to take a look at the garden rock we selected. Not only did we see the rock, we got a sneak preview of the trees that were arriving. 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our yard and trees were destroyed by Hurricane Ian. From our initial contact with Steve, review of his landscaping plans and work completed, there were no problems. We have been using Critter Ridge for all of our landscaping needs for over 10 years. They are very creative in their proposals and their work is on time, their workers professional and the quality of their work is excellent. They are very responsive as demonstrated after hurricane Idalia's visit, wherein Critter Ridge was onsite 2 days afterwards uprighting and saving 2 trees and replacing 1 tree that was too badly damaged, leaving our home near back to pre-hurricane condition.

Critter Ridge designed and installed my backyard and front yard trees, plants and privacy bushes! They did a great job from design to implementation! They arrived on time and left the job site clean and neat . They planted bushes to provide privacy where I needed it and then planted colorful and visually appealing plants to make a statement in other areas! They are terrific and I highly recommend this company! They listen to your needs and then implement them into the design to make a fantastic total landscape!

I am incredibly pleased with my landscaping done by Critter Ridge. They worked with me extensively in designing a landscape that I loved and that my ARC Committee and HOA would approve. The quality of their materials was excellent and they were flexible on the day of planting if plants needed to be moved. They have a long plant guarantee, which made it a value to me. Critter Ridge never disappoints! Our refreshed landscape looks so beautiful. Plants and palms grew a lot in 5 1/2 years and now with big trees trimmed, new plants installed and some original plants and trees relocated, you can see our house again! Steve has vision that turns into reality. The CR crew, with oversight by Tom, worked quietly and efficiently. Neighbors in our gated community of The Landings commented on how respectful they were in the way trucks, heavy equipment, plant products, irrigation lines, were brought in and unloaded. Working with Critter Ridge was an excellent experience from inquiry to final installation. Steve worked with us on site an at their office, taking time to make sure we were happy with the plan. During installation, we had much dialogue with the crew, making adjustments until it looked just right, including a second visit to add some material. Looks great!

I used Critter Ridge to update my mothers backyard design and plant materials for her 60th birthday. Steve was a delight to work with, along with their employees who were polite, respectful and cleanup up after themselves. I cannot say enough good things about this company, they even were on time. You will not be disappointed! Steve has a true gift at what he does with an attention to detail and design!

Working with Critter Ridge on my landscape project was a delight from start to finish. Steve listened to what I wanted to do and designed a plan that worked very well for me. Every member of his team is fantastic. Mora, in the office, is friendly and follows up with you as she says she will. Hector and Belinda are highly skilled crafts people who laid the pavers. Rhonda was patient in answering my questions about the future care of my plants and the entire crew were polite and professional. I highly recommend this firm.

8/15 AM -We hired Critter Ridge for a landscaping project that was over $40K. The project included installing an irrigation system. Now the system isn't working. I called them and they gave me the name of an irrigation company and said I needed to call them. Long story short, I have invoices from Critter Ridge for the irrigation system and the the company they gave isn't responding to emails or phone and Critter Landscaping isn't replying to follow-up emails on the matter. Also, be careful on their landscape plan for your yard, they will sell and sell until you have a jungle and are spending dollars and time maintaining it.

8/15 PM - in reply to Critter Ridge's response, they initially said that they would help if I couldn't get a hold of the irrigation person. I left 3 voice messages and one email over a month and didn't get a reply (from the company they used or worked with to install it) so I reached out to Critter Ridge and then they ghosted me until I posted my review. So, Idk. I get they didn't do the work but they billed me. I was hoping to get a schematic which I never received of where the valves were placed or a maintenance call. I guess I need to find a company that has equipment (?) to locate the valves and go from there.

Funny that I haven't gotten any response via email in 2 weeks, but it only took a few hours for them to respond to a Google Review.

Recently had some landscaping done by Critter Ridge. They were friendly and very professional. The crew was carefully supervised during the entire two day job. The plantings they recommended look great, I highly recommend Critter Ridge.

Critter Ridge just installed my Beautiful landscaping, they did a fantastic job! I met with Steve Nielsen the owner and discussed what I was looking for in the design. He listened and implemented everything I was looking for and he went above and beyond my expectations. The entire crew including the office staff were friendly and very knowledgeable throughout the process. I would highly recommend them.

Where do I even start? We hired Critter Ridge in 2007 when we remodeled our home. Beautiful work, fair and honest. Fast forward to 2023. We had local people doing maintenance and the yard (almost two acres) looked super tired.
Steve came back out and drew up a great plan (again!), prices were bid out and date to start was given. Mora in the office kept us updated as to any delays….we all know that happens with Mother Nature and landscaping projects!
Tom and his crew were phenomenal! They never sat still even while waiting for extra deliveries….once they started our project we realized how much more needed to be done! 😳
