We are very grateful for the prompt & professional service we received. We had tree roots growing in our outflow sewer line that caused a backup on (of course) a Saturday night. David came out by 10am Sunday morning and repaired the broken pipe. Thank you so much for the great service!!

Same-day service in an emergency drain clog situation was solved. Technician (Noah) was very polite, professional and knowledgeable. He also explained everything he did in a way that I understood the problem and how to approach it moving forward. This was my first time using this company and I will not hesitate to do so again in the future. 5 Stars!

We had an upstairs bathroom needed by 5 people, including guests clog at night and an attempted repair by my husband result in the need to bring in an expert. Our call was answered promptly and David Hansbury, our technician, showed up early the next morning and was very gracious in acknowledging my husband's attempted repair and resolved everything quickly, efficiently and far more economically than anticipated after having to make an after hours request for service. We live in an old house and repairs aren't always easy or reasonably priced and we felt well taken care of won't hesitate to utilize Roto-Rooter for any future services.

Not long after we purchased a house, we started to have problems with the drain system. It was so bad that we couldn’t use the washer or the kitchen sink because the water was backing up in one of the bathroom’s shower and toilet. We called the local Roto-Rooter Plumbing service and made an appointment. Steve showed up and tried to took care of the problem, but it was a tough job. He came back next day, did an awesome job unclogging the drain, checked the pipe with camera and replacing the old drain access with a new one. Thank you again!

So disappointed with this company. The first plumber we had come out was professional, upfront & kind. The second that came back to install the toilets was crass, unprofessional & left a MESS in both of our bathrooms. I’m talking dirty floor, dirty tub (that was clean before & should have no reason to even open the shower curtain) soaked towel he didn’t ask to use left on the floor, etc. on top of that he was a scammer. Tried to get out of hauling away the toilets that were quoted as included in the price, made my boyfriend carry & load the toilets into his truck. Over charged what was quoted because we “needed better parts” than what the toilet came with & didn’t ask permission before substituting his own more expensive parts. This plumber was a certified SCAMMER and extremely messy. If Roto doesn’t make this right I will be reporting them to the BBB & processing a charge back on my credit card for the overcharged amount.

I called in on Friday afternoon for an emergency drain cleaning. Noah came out within a few hours. He was very professional and friendly as he explained what he was going to do and what the charges would be. He spent hours pulling our toilet and clearing out the drain. He did it all with a smile on his face even though it was late Friday afternoon/evening. I would recommend this company to friends and family!

Thank you so much Nick and Giovanni! I had no idea what my plumbing issue was I just knew I had a problem. Nick paid attention to my random “symptoms” as if it were a telehealth call. Looking back his phone call was just a schedule an appointment ...his patience was incredible and honestly, set the tone for my expectations resolving what turned out to be a blocked sewer drain.
He told me fixing it would not be a problem and that it could be fixed a few different ways, explained that to me. (Everything I have put down my toilet is now running through my mind 😨) The extra 30 seconds he spent listening to me, created the opportunity to MANAGE EXPECTATIONS!! I felt like a client not a customer at the end of that phone call.

Giovanni followed up, ALREADY knowing all the details regarding the job professionally and the customer service could include watching me cry. 😬

I left a sewage issue having a good experience… I wasn’t just happy it was over, I couldn’t believe how nice and respectful they were. I couldn’t quit singing the praises on the phone and they wouldn’t except the compliment they kept telling me it was just part of the job. I really needed a pleasant interaction I was starting to lose faith!

And this will be the story I repeat to it every neighbor I walk past and talk to in the bobcat trail community… In fact I want to put two posters in my front yard of you two...class of 2020 senior style! I am so proud of how I was treated!

The tech that was paged out to our house (David) was wonderful. He kept a positive attitude the entire time and he was sure to explain to us what he was doing as he was doing it. David was at our home from 9:00 pm until midnight to ensure we were up and running with our plumbing (only one bathroom or we would not have had the poor guy out there that late). I will definitely use this company again based on my experience last night.

We were stuck with no water for 24 hours because of a faulty main
valve.
They were contacted at 10:30 am and I was told someone would be there
shortly after noon.
Long story short, they delayed and delayed until after 6 pm no one
was available but the answering service.
A special shoutout to Brian who played the game well but I figured out by the 5 pm call telling me they would be here by 6 pm.

Please call them so you can be misled and then relay your story here for us all.

After spending $2500 to clear a main sewer drain line, the tech did not have a camera that would reach to the road to find out where the problem is. After talking to the owner (Aaron), he said he would send out a longer cabled camera to find the issue. After numerous attempts to get this done, Aaron does not return phone calls and I will have to go to a plumbing shop to find the obstruction. Very disappointed in this company and will not use them again.

Don’t call these guys I had a clogged up gutter drain thy quoted 2600 to jet it out about 70 foot a pipe. I had another company do it for $275 Took about an hour

. These guys won’t give a price over the phone. They want to come out and try to sell you total scam.
The one of those predator companies that’ll pray on the weak and elderly.

The service I received in Sarasota was great. The service person was friendly, polite, and very knowledgeable. My master shower had backed up with water and sludge. He spent a long time working to clear the drain and did not give up until he and I were completely satisfied with the water flow. I was impressed by his commitment and determination. He also provided me with recommendations for maintaining my drains and how to be aware of potential plumbing problems. I was pleased that there was a fixed rate for clearing a drain rather than having to pay by the hour. It was much more cost efficient.

The drain going from our Washer was clogged. Noah showed up the same day and tried using a snake tool with no success. He almost broke the tool! We discussed several options which included opening walls to maybe even digging through the concrete floor. We do not generally have crawl spaces or basements in Florida so it is almost impossible to figure out what is going on behind walls and floors. As a first step and least expensive option, he suggested running a snake through the roof vent instead. He also recommended replacing some 50-60 year old pipes up to the main cast iron sewer line in the wall. The old pipe had multiple bends in it and only had a diameter of 1-1/2 inches. Although there were no guarantees, he figured that since everything else in the house worked, the probability of the main sewer line being broken is low. A few hours later, a lot of precautionary testing, and digging out two different parts of tools that other plumbers left behind, it worked!!! Noah was extremely patient, professional, knowledgeable, and willing to work with difficult situations (including tight budgets and cranky people). I can't say enough about him. He is a major asset to his company and I hope they plan to keep him around for a long time!

VERY DISAPPOINTED
I wish I had done a little more research on this subject before I called Roto-Rooter, but when it is an emergency you call who you think is a nationally recognized and reliable company.

Tuesday night we noticed the toilets weren’t flushing properly and sewage was backing up in the shower. Called RR and left a message with answering service that it was urgent. Got a call back from technician and was told call the office in the morning. Why have 24 hour service if you aren’t going to be available 24 hours? I should of called someone else at that point, but waited til the next morning. Instead of Roto Rooter calling me, I had to reach out to them.

Technician came out and said it would be $600 to snake the main drain and use a camera to see what caused the blockage. A little high but, it needed to be done. Well after he couldn’t unblock with the snake, he had to JET the blockage. He gave me the cost and since he was on the middle of doing the job, we just wanted it to be done.

Bottom line? $2500.00 for a job that most other companies charge half of that. National average is under $1200.00

Lessons learned - don’t rely on a National Brand name to give you the best service at an affordable price. And no matter how much of an emergency, do some research first.

David from Roto-Rooter was the man! I had called another company earlier in the day to snake the drain line to unclog the toilet! Well, the other company was a huge let down couldn’t come out that day!, found that out after calling a second time at 5:15pm! David was here within an hour, of talking to him! He camered the line, but couldn’t see anything from all the years of sludge build up! So, he jetted the line and wow the sludge came out! Ran water in the line and now you could see a broken pipe on the monitor! David was very knowledgeable and a huge help! So happy I called Roto-Rooter! Only wish it was my first call! Great response and service. Came Sunday for emergency service for a rental property. The tenants couldn't use either toilet. Noah was thorough and professional. He found the issue and resolved it. Within hours of the call, my tenants had a working drainage system.

Being a remote landlord, this type of service make it possible for me to be away for extended periods of time. Thank you Noah and Roto-Rooter!

Unfortunately I was having issues with sewage backing up in my shower and the toilets not wanting to drain. I called 10 places before I was able to find someone to come service my property and fortunately that was Roto-Rooter of Sarasota. I called around 1pm and they said due to scheduling they probably wouldn't be able to come out until later that night. I said no problem, as long as it was addressed today.

I received a call around 3pm stating they would be able to get someone out in the next 30 minutes and Nick showed up at 3:30. He asked me about the problems that we were experiencing and immediately had an idea about what was going on. He ended up using a camera on my main line going to the septic tank and we saw that the line was cast iron, rusted up and was not flowing properly.

We talked over the options and decided to try to clear it out. He had to run and go grab a special pressure washer to try to clear out the pipes. Long story short, he was at it for 2 hours and we both realized he wasn't making much progress due to the nature of the line. He ran a camera again and thoroughly explained the concern.

We then decided to ultimately replace the cast iron line with PVC as at that point we were just putting a band-aid on a problem by continuing to wash out the cast iron line. Nick ended up calling out Luke to come give him a hand digging up the old line.

They ended up cleaning out the line and installing two clean outs to help with any issues down the road. Nick then ran a camera through the house up to the first toilet to help show we were good to go.

I really did appreciate the professionalism from both Nick and Luke. They both were experienced and had a great work ethic. This was my grandfather's house and we just recently lost him. My mother was very stressed out about the whole ordeal but fortunately these gentlemen solved this problem and walked us through the entire process. They understood the stress my mother was going through and reassured her that this problem would be solved.

Nick and Luke will be the only individuals I work with from now on. They were excellent professionals and I will be recommending them to everyone.

Updating my review from 4 years ago to say this company is still awesome. Same day service. David was great and has my sink & disposal fixed in no time! Will continue to use Roto in the future.

We had a new refrigerator delivered and installed, but the existing water pipe was not compatible with the new fridge. We called Rotor Rooter on Monday morning, and they arrived in the afternoon.
A bit pricey for the work that was done, but we got same-day service that was done right.
Gio and his associate cleared out two clogged up drains, and then returned the next day with the correct valve to connect the old hookup to the new fridge. He made sure it was done right! And everything works perfectly now.

Very professional at the same time very caring. David listened to my issue carefully then went about finding and repairing the leak quicky
