We have lived here for 20 years and after trying several landscaping companies we finally found The Landscaping People. Thank goodness! They have done a wonderful job. We get compliments all the time. They take care of everything without needing to be reminded. I can not say enough about how happy we are with their service. I am very picky and they exceed my expectations. We are moving out of state and I hope the new owners will continue with this excellent company.

I was very pleased with the work performed by the Landscaping People. My wife and I told Daniel what we are looking to accomplish and what our budget was. He took all the information and designed the landscaping for us. We did minor changes to the design and gave Daniel the go ahead to start the work. The crew were professional and courteous. Stay Away- A Waste of Money– Cheap Plants - Zero Accountability

We hired The Landscaping People to redesign our front yard and spent $45,000 and what we got was a total disappointment. They used the cheapest, poorest-quality plants and flowers, most of which died within two months. Out of 8 dead plants, they only replaced 3 and never followed up about the rest, despite multiple attempts to contact them.

The work was sloppy, the materials were low-grade, and the customer service was terrible. For the price we paid, we expected professional results and better communication we got neither.

You’re better off going to a nursery, choosing your own healthy plants, and having your gardener install them. It’ll save you money, stress, and a lot of frustration compared to working with the landscaping people Inc

This is a proud family operation and that is apparent in their work and professionalism from the first phone call to finishing touches. Chris, the son and landscape architect, was a pleasure to work with, presenting a well thought out rendering and landscape plan, including everything I asked for. He listens and is completely upfront about not being the cheapest for a reason. Honestly the project was considerably more than I expected but I would hire them again. It’s worth it to pay for quality work and avoid any headaches (I learned that the hard way). Their staff were professional, always in uniform, and left zero mess. John, the dad, has been in the business for over 40 years I believe, and knows his stuff. I had no doubt that my plants would be good quality and planted properly. Chris called and texted, keeping me informed throughout the process, and simply to make sure I was happy every step of the way. These are true, honest and talented professionals, which is extremely rare to find in south Florida.

In all my years I’ve never experienced the level of professionalism and landscaping business acumen as I have with Zito (Chris Zito). Here is their vector of differentiation:

- response time: not only does Chris respond quickly, he actually calls the client to ensure that their expectations are exceeded. He will ask questions like- “how are the podocarpus doing!” Or “maybe that isn’t the right location for the Lantanas”

- passion for detail. Chris is an expert in this area. He knows project management inside and out and ensures that he covers every detail in the plans he proposes.

- oversight - Chris will always go to the jobs and check the work. His workers are given specific assignments and he ensures all is done correctly.

Chris has a passion for his profession and that is readily seen the first time you meet. He will make sure you understand the plan and costs and is open for questions almost at any time.

I highly recommend this company and will refer them to other managers as well.

We used Zito Landscape for a couple small and really big projects at my work, They made everything from planning to payment so simple! They walked me through the design process and follow up care for all the flowers and plants they planted. Best of all is whenever we needed anything from more direction on caring for the landscape to help with our irrigation they were always there to help.

John Zito and his son Chris are not only highly competent in landscape design but they are good people. We acquired a home in Hollywood, FL and interviewed no less than a dozen landscape firms. As soon as I hung up the phone after speaking with John, I told my wife, “that’s who we need to hire.” On the phone John struck me as a great communicator, highly intelligent, a good listener, and very professional. When John visited our property with Chris, we were even more pleased to see their creative talents and enthusiasm for their work. With quick turnaround time, they returned with a concept plan that incorporated our all our wishes yet introduced several exciting concepts we had not considered. After we formally engaged the Company to begin the installation, they started the work right away and John and Chris were on site daily. They not only made sure that the work was being performed correctly but identified adjustments to the plan that would enhance the original design. Once they initiated the work, the same reliable and respectful crew was on site everyday until it was completed. Throughout the process we were consulted on every step, including the precise selection of plant varieties and hardscape materials, and care was taken on their part to make sure we stayed within our budget. Words cannot possibly describe the finished project. The closest I can come is simply “Shangri-La”. Do not take my word for it, as every friend and neighbor that has visited our home has marveled at its qualities of tropical paradise. John and Chris created something that went so much farther than we could have imagined. They changed our home into a retreat and we had so much fun working with them along the journey. It was not an inexpensive project but it is worth every penny. We also cannot put a value on the comfort that comes in working with trustworthy people. Zito Landscape will be returning quarterly to maintain the property and we are glad that we will be staying in touch with the entire work crew that have become great friends. We recommend John and Chris without a single equivocation. We have worked with landscape design companies in several areas of the country and we are quite confident when we say that they are the class of South Florida.
