I absolutely love Tallahassee Nurseries! Every time I come here, it’s such a peaceful and beautiful experience. The plants are gorgeous and so well cared for, and the whole atmosphere just feels calm and welcoming. I especially love their art shows, it’s amazing to see all the beautiful local art and meet other artists in the community. As an artist myself, I’ve always felt supported and welcomed whenever I’ve showcased my own work here. The staff is always so kind and helpful too. You can really tell everyone works hard to make this place as special as it is! I can’t recommend them enough!!

This nursery is such a gem. They have a surprising amount of variety in stock. Plus, they host events like farmers markets that make the place feel like a real community hub. Always worth the trip. And they're dog friendly!

Loved this nursery! They had a ton of different plants/shrubs/trees and they were all great quality and healthy! Will be back again soon!

One of mine and my daughter’s favorite places. You can grab a treat for kids at a food truck and grab a beer or wine slushie for yourself in the gift shop. The lady in the greenhouse is super nice and often lets my daughter feed the koi fish. I’ve never had a rude or unpleasant experience here. You can also buy turtle food in the shop with the birdseed and sit next to the pond and feed the turtles.

My first visit there was incredible! The place itself is a work of art and it's beautiful fountains and all the plants! So many beautiful plants in an astounding variety and very well taken care of. I wish I had longer to stay but my kids and I were killing time while waiting for my grandmother's doctor appointment to be over. It was such a good idea and my kids and I had a blast. The prices of the plants were incredibly reasonable. I still managed to get 2 before I had to leave. I am definitely coming back for more! If you're around it, it's definitely a place worth checking out especially during the holidays! It's a fun place for the kids and it's open and easy to navigate.

Best nursery I’ve ever visited. I live in Mount Dora and drive to Orange Beach for vacation. I always stop here and stretch my legs. I also buy tons of plants. They have it all. I saw it featured in Southern Living as one of the top ten I think in the state or maybe the south. Anyway. I’m was not disappointed. I’ll continue to stop as often as I can.

My husband and I drive out of town every year to purchase their plants/trees/flower. We love their layout, everything is really easy to find, and the staff are great. Last Saturday, they had a mini orchestra serenading the visitors which was so beautiful! The plants we buy are hearty and have done well in our humid and toasty environment!

This is a fantastic Tallahassee garden center, and there’s a lot to take in. Let’s get right to it.

This visit was on February 1, 2026, when a strong cold front pushed through North Florida and reminded everyone that winter does still show up here. Temperatures were in the low 30s, and it felt especially surreal seeing icicles hanging from one of the fountains. Many of the plants were thoughtfully covered to protect them from Jack Frost; something longtime Tallahassee gardeners know is rare, but serious business when it happens.

The nursery has that unmistakable family-owned Tallahassee feel; unpretentious, welcoming, and run by people who actually know what grows well here. The associates are knowledgeable in their specific areas, and the zero sales pressure was refreshing. I had the space to wander, take notes, and think through what truly works in a local yard rather than being pushed into impulse buys. Plant inventory is well organized with clear signage, making it easy to navigate whether you’re planning a full landscape overhaul or just killing time on a Saturday.

Houseplant lovers will be especially happy here. They carry a large selection of sought-after tropical houseplants and in-bloom orchids; some are perfect for beginners, and others that feel like they require a PhD to keep alive. The greenhouse is a joy to browse, and their tropical offerings also shine for anyone interested in DIY terrariums.

The selection of native plants is equally impressive, ranging from ground covers to shrubs and full-sized trees. It’s clear this isn’t an afterthought: there’s real attention given to plants that actually thrive in the Tallahassee climate, making this a valuable resource for sustainable and locally appropriate gardening.

I also enjoyed exploring the three cottages filled with gardening accessories. There’s a charming mix of quirky, seasonal, and thoughtfully curated pieces that fit Tallahassee’s indoor-outdoor lifestyle. The variety of pots makes it easy to match not just the plant, but your home décor and even your mood.

A few local-flavor highlights: the giant wind chimes are a treat when the breeze moves through, producing deep, resonant tones that feel less like North Florida and more like the English countryside. And kids will absolutely be drawn to the tyrannosaurus sculpture. Just make sure they admire it from the ground, not its back.

All in all, this is one of those Tallahassee spots that rewards lingering, whether you’re a seasoned gardener, a new plant parent, or just looking for a peaceful place to wander on a chilly North Florida day.

Tallahassee Nurseries is quickly becoming a place dear to my heart, a pocket of whimsy and rejuvenation. Having lived in Tallahassee for three decades, and previously joking that I had a black thumb when it came to plants, I only recently started going regularly. Now I can see it becoming a beautiful mainstay in my life.

In the past few weeks, I’ve attended several of their events for the first time. Each one has been beautifully coordinated and well attended, and I can’t wait to go to more. I just went to the Artisans in the Gardens event yesterday, and it was stunning and idyllic, even with the overly warm weather. The quality of the artisans was genuinely inspiring, and they were all local. I’m so proud to see the talent in our community.

The grounds are absolutely enchanting, and the variation in plant types means there’s truly something for everyone. I’ve had the privilege of getting to know many of the staff, and they are all wonderful, kind, grounded people. I’m happy to say I seem to have turned my black thumb into something closer to a green thumb, and I can’t wait to come back and flex my newfound skills by bringing home more varieties of plants, or even just to enjoy the grounds, wandering through the gardens with the shop kitties and butterflies.

Such a magical place! They have a wonderful selection of plants for you to buy; but even if you’re not into plants I would consider going there and walk around the property; they have some really nice shops. They also have some very special food trucks on selected days, I was lucky to be there when the trucks were there and there was one that sold European bakery items and I was lucky to try a Pavlova (it was so delicious)

Having used AAA last year to remove 12 trees, we were familiar with AAA service. Again they did not disappoint. The price was very competitive, the service was excellent, and the personnel were very professional. When they left you would not know they were there except for the two missing trees.

Barbie really knows what she’s doing and was punctual and professional through the whole process. 10/10 RECOMMEND !

My insurance company was about to cancel my home insurance. AAA showed up in a timely manner and did an excellent job trimming large branches away from my house, easily complying with the company’s request. The cleanup was excellent, the men gladly performed several small requests that were not on the bid, and their prices were excellent compared to three other bids I had gotten for the job. I am very pleased with AAA and the service they gave me, and highly recommend them for any tree work you may have in the Tallahassee area.

We needed a bulk quantity of drainage rock and river rock for an open French drain project. Our first-ever interaction with this firm was a very pleasant and helpful phone conversation with Barbie. We then drove to their office/yard to look at their rock and stone options. Again, in person, Barbie was very helpful and accommodating. After checking our measurements we called to place an order for delivery which happened SAME DAY! This is almost unheard of nowadays! We probably got lucky on that part. The truck driver was awesome and put the load exactly where it needed to be dumped. The prices and the service were above expectations!

This is the second time I've had the pleasure of having this team of pros remove some trees that needed to go away. Ben gave excellent advice for the estimate. Mike was the team leader for the work, and he was stellar. He was amazing to watch, totally professional, and kept me in the loop about all cutting that was done. The rest of the crew were also stellar. Stump grinder came, consulted with me, and also did a very fine job. All in all, AAA Tree Experts is the place for any of your tree trimming/removal needs. Wish I were younger because I'd like to work for this company. Highly recommended.

Fantastic job! They took down a giant dead pine tree. Great clean up. Very responsive.

Thomas and his crew are true professionals. They removed some huge oak trees overhanging my mothers house with no problems whatsoever. Also clean-up was very neat. They are the only tree company you could ever need. Thanks AAA

We have used AAA Tree Service three times now. Twice for tree issues/removal, and once for landscaping/flower bed cleaning. They are a smaller company, but have given good service, fair prices, and respond to questions. The trees were removed and cleaned up. The landscaping was just what I needed, since I am no longer able to prep the flower beds and trim shrubs. We have been pleased with their service and plan to use AAA again.

From start to finish, AAA has exceeded all expectations. We were referred to them after we had our roof fixed, and I could not be happier with the referral. From first contact with Mike and Steve, to the crew of Cody, Troy, Ray Ray, and Richard doing a fantastic, quick and efficient job. Will definitely continue to use them for future service, and you should, too.

I apologize if I missed naming anyone else involved, as everyone was great.

I have had a business relationship with AAA Tree Service for several years. I have considered their prices to be very fair and reasonable. Their crews work quickly and efficiently. They clean up afterward so well we hardly know they were here. Their trash pick up person did an exceptionally good job this time.

The BEST guys. Took on a job no one else wanted to and did a wonderful job. We had a root becoming a speed bump at our company and Triple A removed the asphalt, the root AND replaced the asphalt. They did something else for my uncle where no one else would accept the job, Triple A did it and excelled. so amazingly impressed with these guys.
