Window Installation reviews in Tamarac, Florida

Customer service is excellent during the installation process, but a few months after my garage door was installed, I needed to schedule a service call and had a very hard time reaching the service department. Each time I called, I was told someone would get back to me, but no one ever did. I’ve been trying to schedule this service for over three weeks now, and I hope this review prompts them to contact me.

Safeguard contacted me to schedule a service for the garage door. Their team came out, ensured the door was working properly, and followed up afterward to confirm that everything was functioning well and that I had no further issues.

Safeguard and their team, everyone from the front office to the installers did a good job installing the windows and doors we purchased, and exercised extreme care within what was possible in being careful not break or damage anything in our home with the exception of the windows we were removing. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to have impact windows put in. Their prices are fair and they took care of everything with the city, the HOA, and keeping us informed.

The company’s response incorrectly attributes the failed inspections and delays to recent changes in the Florida Building Code. This is not accurate. The issue had nothing to do with new regulations. The project failed inspection twice because the installation did not comply with the manufacturer’s specifications already approved by the City.
Specifically, the manufacturer requires the use of non-compressible shims ( it was used wood shims) . This requirement was not followed in the original installation, which directly led to the inspection failures. These were not discretionary items; they are mandatory manufacturer instructions. Had the specifications been properly followed from the start, the inspections would have passed without delay.
As a result of this non-compliance, I experienced:
Two failed inspections

Significant project delays
Wasted time and additional costs
Although the project was eventually corrected and passed inspection, the setbacks and losses I endured were entirely avoidable. For this reason, I respectfully request monetary compensation for the delays and additional costs incurred.
My complaint is not about the sill riser or any request for unsafe modifications, as suggested in the company’s response. The core issue is simple: the original installation did not follow the manufacturer’s approved specifications, which caused unnecessary delays and financial harm

Unsafe and unprofessional experience with Safe Guard.

I trusted this company to install my impact windows, and the results were extremely disappointing. They failed two separate city inspections because they did not follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions. That is not just a mistake — it is a serious violation of basic building standards.

Every failed inspection created weeks of unnecessary delays, which cost me valuable time and money. I had to rearrange other parts of my project and deal with the stress of waiting for new inspections, all because Safe Guard could not do the job correctly the first time.

Even worse, ignoring manufacturer instructions and failing inspections raises serious safety concerns. Impact windows are a critical investment meant to protect homes during hurricanes and storms, and they must be installed exactly according to code. By cutting corners, Safe Guard put my property and potentially my family’s safety at risk.

When you hire a licensed company, you expect professionalism, accuracy, and compliance with both the manufacturer’s requirements and city regulations. Safe Guard failed on all these points.

I cannot recommend this company to anyone. If you value your home, your safety, and your peace of mind, look for a contractor who respects codes, inspections, and the responsibility that comes with working on something as important as impact windows.

So happy to call this company and talk with Eric and honest and straightforward. Person had a bad experience with another company and Eric helped me throughout the whole thing. He was a man of his word no pressure no lies just honesty and truth. Looking forward to having my windows replaced knowing that Eric will see to it. Just goes to say , be careful with who you sign with and be sure to do your due diligence

We had 3 companies come out to give us a break down of quotes for windows and doors. Michael Palmer from SafeGuard came out and “Wowed” us with not only his expertise and knowledge of windows and all other companies but also Financing. Michael (Safeguard) put our minds at ease when he told us we don’t have to do anything but pick out what we want and pay (best price between all of the companies), they will do the rest.

We had another company tell us we had to take down all of our drapes and blinds and then we would have to put them all back up ourselves. They also told us we would have to paint the outside of the windows in case of any damage. They will fix the stucco but we would have to paint. Safeguard puts up plastic after they take out the old windows to keep everything clean.

Out of all the companies they have THE BEST price and the BEST warranty and they do all of the labor so we don’t have to hire someone else to do it or do it our self

Terrible experience … contacted because we had a window mysteriously break at one of my businesses. Contacted Gus. Very nice on initial contact. Sent him dimensions and scheduled a zoom call the next day to discuss “pricing”.

Sure enough was able to do so and got pricing. Took sometime but decided I would get the work done as this was the only company able to do it within my time frame ……….

After I signed the estimate, a tech was to come out to measure the windows to ensure measurements were correct and send me financing link ……. CRICKETS…

Contacted Gus many times , no response. Gus finally randomly calls and we discussed my options once again and reviewed the timeline. All was well.

Also asked AGAIN about sending a tech out to measure .. he stated possibly Friday …… crickets no one showed up. … I was promised another department would call me to send me the finance link, …… got nothing !

Very unprofessional. Please beware and choose a company that will actually care and do what they say and mean what they say.

Terrible experience. Delayed me by a month just dealing with him. See picture. Initial contact requesting finance on 11/11. On Thursday 12/04, I Still have not received link or communication from them. Recently sent last email , no response.

My project manager was Arthur Tulin…he was AMAZING!!! The workers were quick, respectful, and knowledgeable. I have zero complaints! My windows are beautiful and they completely transformed the look of my house.

I recently had a consultation with Larry regarding window replacement, and I was very impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail. He was extremely polite and took his time explaining every part of the process — from materials and installation to warranty and permitting. I appreciated that he didn’t rush through the appointment and made sure I fully understood my options before making any decisions.

I purchased 3 new windows and a sliding door with safeguard impact, couldn't be happier. they were very patient with answering all my questions, i love the way my new doors were installed as i get older its been harder to open and close my old windows and the installers made sure the windows and doors were installed perfectly so i wouldn't have any problems.

I had an outside impact patio enclosure installed on 12/6/23. Abraham, Alex and the entire team were extremely professional, and actually completed the job in one day, which was great. They not only protected my property, they cleaned up and left my home in great condition. I would highly recommend Safeguard for your replacement and/or new window, etc. jobs. I also want to give a special shout out to my salesman, Miles Griggs. He was very professional, worked with me on what I wanted, and was the best salesman that I have ever worked with. I am adding to my initial review which was posted in December 2023. I had to have service come to complete some minor issues. The team who arrived today, May 21, 2024, were Andrew and Milton. They were professional, courteous, friendly and completed the job in a timely manner. They went above and beyond and I am very happy with the end result. I am extremely happy with my new patio enclosure. Thank you again Safeguard.

I am adding a further review for Safeguard on 8/15/24. Just recently I noticed a leak that came through the bottom of the patio enclosure. I immediately reached out to Shannon at SafeGuard and she took care of having the service team reach out to me to address the issue. I had several service people come out to find the issue and to take care of it. The team found some minor caulking issues, which were taken care of. I want to thank everyone involved from Shannon, Joshua, Diana, Eric and Nino. Everyone was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I am extremely happy that I chose SafeGuard Window and Doors for the installation of my patio enclosure and happily recommend SafeGuard if someone is looking to install windows, doors, etc.

Safeguard Windows and Doors did a great job in our house. The entire house was completed in 4 days and the installation was done professionally and to the building code.

Update on CEO’s response: unfortunately my husband and I work different shifts we did want to try to call you when we were both together, yes he did get all the calls but I dealt with the actual project.
So I will touch on this first there is no initially, what your company did was take the contract they had with him, and with his signature and change led it to my name with his signature. Since he signed it J Campbell it was easy to just change it from Jeremy to Janine. So technically you have a contract in my name but not my signature.
Yes your company did give us the lowest price out of the company’s that we spoke with however I was not present when he spoke with yours I was at work.
When I spoke of being pushy I was referring to Arthur calling me multiple times a day while I was at work when I specifically told him I could not answer my phone at work to send me a text and I would call him as soon as I could. I work in customer service and my boss allows me to keep my phone with my for emergencies but to have it ringing constantly to find out what we decided to do as far as the financial aspects or to tell me to check my email or bla bla bla.. was very pushy in my opinion and annoying while I was dealing with my customers.
No back and forth, just a sale was pitched to one person and then the absent party is now being asked to take a $15,000 loan out in their name. I had questions and wanted to do research.
I never met with Arthur
I didn’t sign a contract, a contract was forged in my name.

I will complete the work myself, most of the painting has been done already. About the door that is fine this was miscommunicated from the workers one of the guys said someone would be out to fill the screw holes when they came to paint. We will try to contact you as soon as we can get some time together to make the call. But at least you have all of the information that Mr Campbell forgot to tell you so hopefully you can better understand my rating.

The deal we got with our package requires us to write a review so here it goes. The quality of the window are great, kudos to the company that manufactured them. The lack of communication from this company will leave you wondering if you made the right decision. In the beginning it’s the normal pushy sales routine, multiple calls a day until you sign the contract ( in our case even this was not done legally) then it’s daily calls on financials. Once that is completed its radio silence, we then had to keep reaching out to see what was going on. Finally we came to installation day, they were scheduled to be here at 9am, I made arrangements for my dog to be picked up at 8:30 (90lb guard dog) well at 8:10 while I had him in the back yard doing his business, workers showed up early and decided to let themselves in to my fenced yard, thankfully my dog listened to me and I was able to get him in the house but that could have gone very badly. There was a language barrier between me and the workers so that was also an issue. They had a large crew which allowed them to do the whole house at once so it got done quickly (good) but that also meant that me and my kid had no where to go but outside in 90+ degrees for over 7 hours (bad, I’m on a lot of medication and diabetic) and to top it off two of the workers almost got into a fight in my front yard. They tell you that they will repair the stucco and trimming then paint as long as you supply the paint so everything looks like it did before, however we also got a new door from them that came “paint ready” and one of the workers said someone would come and paint the door and fill in the screw holes around the frame but when we spoke with Arthur he said no that would be something we would have to do because they aren’t painters. So in the end we are doing a bit of the finish work ourselves. All in all, product good, service big headache.

We were so pleased with Jeannine Haley! She is a friend of my daughter and she was so professional with us. I’m 84 yo and was skeptical about changing our old windows. Had rude, obnoxious people come over to give us prices but this company is so outstanding from start to finish! Very prompt and communicated with us with the whole process…. From start to finish, we couldn’t be happier with the service and product. Yonimiler and his team were Amazing! They arrived first thing in the morning, did a quick walk through planned out the 2 day install. Before I knew it all basic windows and front door were removed and replaced with minimal dust. Which was surprising, and even then, they passed a mop when done for the day. Second day was cabana bath door and patio (see pictures)! Yonimiler will go the extra mile. He repositioned a cable that was previously keeping the sliding glass door from opening all the way (for years) ran the cable down the wall and across to where it had to reach inside the house, patched it all up and repainted like nothing ever happened, and again no mess. That was not part of the job, he genuinely just wanted to make it look perfect. They removed and discarded all shutter frames. Removed hideous red tiles from both French doors and sliding glass door openings, spread concrete to match texture of the house and repainted all openings (see pictures)! He answered all of our questions. He was an hour (maybe more) early for the inspection and everything was perfect!! We’d recommend him and his team a thousand times over! Must say, Eddie was also extremely professional and helpful throughout the project.

Michael Palmer was able to explain in detail the manufacture and installation of windows and door.
Installers were able to install in 1- day.
Safe guard met with county inspector and completed trim and caulking work after approval.

Aldo and the team installed impact windows, sliders and custom front glass door for us. The entire project took 3 days from demo to finish.
