We manage properties for others in the area. We were in need of an HVAC company so we called this company to gather information and add them to our preferred vendor list.

When we asked about prices for common services, so we could know what to expect before scheduling, they rudely hung up on us out of frustration.

It was a very confusing experience. But this company will be on our black list instead of our preferred list.

My Father was one of Dave's original customers and my wife and I have been customers for nearly 20 years. My other son also has been using them for years. We recommended Action Air to my son Vincent and he has had a terrible experience that he documented here. He was charged an insane price hike a week after starting service with them. He has been trying to reach management for several days now with no success. Promises of call backs with no Action (no pun intended). I'm embarrassed I recommended them because they clearly are not the company they once were. We will be dropping them in October when our contract runs out. It is clear the only way to contact them is with a poor review.

Nearly 15 years ago I enlisted Action Air Conditioning to install a new system. Consistent with that high level of service, I wasn't hesitant to call them again to replace an a/c system that was reaching its maximum life. Joyce was helpful to provide me with preliminary information and she immediately scheduled Don to conduct a thorough analysis of my space and performance requirements. They were also able to schedule CJ and Isaiah for an installation of a new Lennox system. Both were cordial, professional, and helpful in answering my questions regarding the new system. I highly recommend Action Air Conditioning who pride themselves in employee retention and consistent high customer service.

Unfortunately we had a very poor experience with this company and would not recommend their service if you are looking for reliability. Our AC went out on a Friday evening. Based on the positive Google reviews we promptly called action AC and they sent someone to our house on Saturday which was great. The technician was friendly and identified that we had a coolant leak somewhere in the system, however he was unable to identify the location of the leak. He advised someone would be coming by on Monday with further equipment to identify the leak. Then he sold us on a membership that would “save us money” and left. Monday came around and when no one had contacted us by the afternoon we reached out. Due to a holiday, no one would be coming until the following day - completely understandable. A different, equally as friendly technician came out and was able to identify the leak within minutes. He let me know that he would be back the following day (Wednesday) to fix this leak which was a small hole in one of the pipes inside the unit. Wednesday came and went and we did not hear anything from the technician or their service team regarding a cost estimate- as promised. I reached out on Wednesday afternoon and was told that a part had to be ordered but we were on the schedule for 9am Friday (one week without AC… in Florida… with a baby) nothing we could do about them having to order a part so no blame on them. Friday came and went - we called in the morning and were told we were “next” and there was just one customer ahead of us. We called several times throughout the day as no one ever showed up - we were given several excuses. During one phone call we were made aware that there was actually no part needed and that it was just a repair. Sounds like “ordering a part” was a way to stall which is very unprofessional. We kept being told that we were on the schedule and finally at 3:30pm on Friday they let us know that no one was coming and they would be out to see us on Monday. At this point it was too late to contact another company and we were SOL .. over a week without air. We cancelled the appointment because who knows when they would actually show, their track record had not been great. Now we are out over 300$ with zero fix. They had no resolution for their lack of planning, scheduling and professionalism and we are beyond disappointed to have trusted them to begin with. We contacted a different company Monday morning and within 4 hours the air was fixed.

I have had an amazing experience with Action Air Conditioning. Don was my sales person and he is very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. He assisted me right away to find the right specs and price, and the installation was scheduled in a day! Ricky and his team completed the installation smoothly with no issues. Extremely satisfied with the service from the beginning to end.

About 4 weeks ago our A/C went bad. Action Air had installed the unit few years back. They came out and told me that the coil was no good and that they did not have a replacement because it was a very old unit. Action Air told me that the coil was still in guarantee and they contacted the manufacturer and told them that is was not fair for us to spend a lot money to fix the problem and the they agree to make the coil just our unit. It took a few days to solve the problem but it got fixed. My hat off to Action Air, the personnel that help me over the phone and to the personnel that came to my house..

Action Air Conditioning is, well, pretty amazing! The Technician, Joandy, was professional and personable. I appreciated Joandy's detailed and thorough explanations of Actions service and services. I'd recommend Action to all of my family and friends without hesitation.

If you're considering this company for your AC installation, **do yourself a favor and look elsewhere**. Poor customer service. Lack of communication. Lack of refrigerant R454B find a company that can install unit and repair within 24 hours this company will not.

I had a brand-new unit installed just over a month ago. It **completely failed** on a june 5th Thursday afternoon. I called immediately, only to be told they *don’t* offer emergency service — just a so-called “24-hour response” for warranty issues. That’s misleading at best, and useless when you’re sitting in a sweltering home with a non-functioning system **they just installed**.

They finally showed up 24 hours later — and the technician couldn’t fix the issue., Even worse, they couldn’t give me a timeline. No solution. No urgency. Just a shrug and “we’ll get to it when we can.” I then received a call on **Saturday** informing me that the **soonest** they could come back would be **Monday**. That means I was left without air conditioning for the entire weekend because of their lack of planning, support, or accountability.
Leaving my household without functioning air conditioning. I want to stress the urgency of this situation, as I have two young children under the age of five. The absence of a working AC system created an unsafe and distressing environment for my family.

With no resolution offered, I had no choice but to contact another licensed provider, **Red Cap Plumbing, Air & Electric**, to diagnose and repair the system. Their technician conducted a full assessment, pulled a vacuum, and recharged the system.

After 7 days without any response this is the email I received from there service manager.

"Thank you for reaching out and bringing this matter to our attention. First and foremost, I sincerely regret the difficulties you've faced with your newly installed AC unit. Your family's comfort and well-being are incredibly important, and I understand how frustrating and stressful this situation must have been—especially given the urgency with young children in the home.
Unfortunately, due to the low inventory of the new refrigerant in our industry our technician did not have it in his vehicle the night he went to your home. I see that Red Cap added 8lbs of refrigerant into the system. We would like to schedule a technician to come to your home to do a leak search because that is a lot of refrigerant to add to the new system.
At this time, we will not be able to reimburse you for the money you spent with Red Cap. The warranty for your new unit is with Action Air and we would not charge you to fix any problem within the first year.
Please give our office a call so they can schedule a technician to come to your home to perform a leak search."

A leak that should have been found the day the technician came out or the following day. 7 days later and no phone call nor reimbursement for something that should have been fixed within at least 48 hours. If another company can fix it within 24 hours this company should be able too.
This is not just poor service — it’s
negligence. When you spend thousands on a new system, you expect it to work. And when it doesn’t, you expect the company who installed it to **stand behind their work** and fix it **promptly**. What I got instead was delays, excuses, and zero ownership of the problem.

    Unacceptable. Unprofessional. Unreliable.

So I have been a Mebership member for a few years now and have used action a/c several times. I recently called to have my unit checked because it was not cooling, they quickly came out and the tech was good and knowledgeable he found that my txv valve was not working and needed to be replaced and that someone from the office would call to go over the repair. When she called she quoted a price of 1800. Dollars and that just seemed off to me when I asked why is it so much she said because freon is 110 dollars a pound and I could need up to 10 pounds??? So the part is covered under warranty and you should be recovering the freon in the system so this is just labor charges for a 3 hour job... I really felt this was getting shady so I called Plan B air for a second opinion and they said sure and came right out, the tech was good and knowledgeable he went over the unit and said the same thing txv valve gave my a estimate right there for 900 told me the process and ordered my part, took them 3 hrs to do. I started to feel like action ac took advantage of me and the fact that maybe I wouldn't question it because I was a member that I pay a yearly fee for. Action AC dropped the ball on this one. I won't be renewing that membership.

I recently had Action Air replace my AC unit. I was so impressed with their professionalism. I worked with Joyce, and she gave a very competitive estimate and followed through on every detail. The installers were top notch, leaving everything clean before they left.

The Action AC team was fantastic from the start of the process right up to the end of installation!
Professional, knowledgable and courteous the entire step of the way! I would highly recommend them to anyone needing anything AC related! Shout out to Don, Ricky and Sanyo who I directly worked with!

We had a $12,000 Lennox AC system installed in September 2023 by Action Air. I don’t know where the fault lies but since 2023 we have had three AC float switches and one motor from the outside unit replaced. On two of the three occasions, we are in a two story townhouse, unit is upstairs and water dripped from the second floor onto the first floor.

What is also disappointing is we had to pay for the third float switch.

FOLLOW UP: As of August 7, 2025, we had another float switch fail. Water dripped from the second floor to the first floor and damaged the ceiling. Tech came out and installed a new float switch, before he hooked it up to his Ammeter, the float switch would work properly. Once he connected it to the computer inside the ac unit, it would work half the time and not work the other half.

The next day Chris from Action Air Conditioning called and told me that because I didn’t subscribe to their Maintenance Plan I could expect this kind of problem. I don’t know what regular maintenance has to do with a float switch failing these last four times. He, also, said there isn’t anything else he could do except to replace the float switch. Other than that, I’am on my own.

I’am no expert but if the Float Switch is failing when hooked up to the computer inside the ac unit maybe the problem is the computer but Chris won’t entertain that thought.

He should find a solution as to why it keeps failing instead of being so dismissive.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FIND A RELIABLE COMPANY WHO STANDS BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. I DIDN’T WANT TO PUT A STAR BUT GOOGLE WON’T LET YOU POST UNLESS YOU GIVE AT LEAST ONE STAR.

My A/C stopped working Sunday evening. Even though it was after hours I called and left a voicemail, advising Action Air Conditioning of the problem.
I’ve depended on them for 25 years for all my A/C needs.
First thing this morning (Monday) I received a call back from Dileny Action Air’s Dispatcher. Dileny and she scheduled me for today.
I Just had a wonderful experience with Dan. He immediately understood what needed to be addressed and took the time to address my questions while fixing the problem. I’ve always experienced the most responsive, best care from this company. Today’s service was all that I’ve come to depend on.

    Dileny.. (dispatcher) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you for your quick, efficient response to questions and fast repair scheduling.

Dan.. (service tech) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dan’s diagnosis was right on, his attention to detail as well as the time he took answering my questions and completing the repair were greatly appreciated.

Action Air installed a new variable speed system and all new ductwork in our home. Install was prompt, professional, and the pricing was very fair. What was especially impressive was their customer service after the install. The new system was installed at the end of October and they came out multiple times during the summer months to balance and fine tune everything to ensure it was right (and not just good enough.) As a company, they are proud to stand behind their work and that says a lot. The office staff were very kind and the workers who came out were always knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Thank you!!!

The guys Isaiah, Dylan, Chris and Jacob did a great job. However giving us an opportunity to take the clothes out of our closet or cover them would have been a good idea. Having to wash a whole closet of clothing is a lot. They were polite and worked hard to finish in one day.

The breaker on my A/C tripped on a Sunday and I couldn't get it to stay on. I contacted Action Air they had a technician out the next day. Joandy was able to get my unit back on in an hour. He was very helpful and saved me from sweating it out another night in my house. I would highly recommend Action Air and Joandy was great. I really appreciate the fast service. Thank you!

Just had installation last week! Dylan and Chris did a smooth, clean and excellent install. Been with Action over 23 years. Never disappoints. Ever!
Highly recommend this company. The Lennox is A little bit pricier however completely worth the peace of mind for me. It is keeping my 2 story home so cool and quiet!. Thank you Action Air. Office staff are fantastic as well.

The Action Air Conditioning team did an excellent job of installing our new Lennox heat pump and air handler. Special shout-outs go to Dan for selling us the right replacement units and to Ricky and Chris for their expert workmanship in installing this equipment. I highly recommend Action Air Conditioning when your AC needs replacement and servicing.

Would never use or recommend this company. They gave me an exorbitant quote for a repair that I thought I had no other option than to accept as no other company could replace the stove pipe on my roof. I accepted the quote and never heard from them again. First they said it would take 2 weeks for the part to come in. I politely called a few times to check the status and never received a return call from the tech, owner or manager. Oh....and the tech, CJ, tried to convince me that my dryer vent was unattached and "was probably that way since the house was built" 33 years ago. And the price to reattach the dryer vent was included in the $2400.00 quote. I told the tech that there was no way the vent was unattached for 33 years as I have the vent cleaned every year. It turned out the vent came loose a week prior from the roof install and they happily repaired it. So this company/tech is shady on top of extremely expensive, unresponsive, unprofessional and unreliable. I highly recommend Advanced Cooling System and have used them for more than 15 years. Unfortunately Advanced Cooling System couldn't do the job on the roof or I would never have called Action Air.

This is the correct Action Air. Would you like my phone logs? Texts to and from the owner? Texts to CJ?

Action Air has always been our go to for any AC issues. They always do a great job and their response time is unmatched. Ricky and Sanyo did a great job with replacing our ac unit yesterday to get our office back up and running. Will always highly recommend!

Dan came to check on my a.c because I noticed it started to leak onto my ceiling. Without hesitation Dan found the problem, and offered two solutions. I admire his work ethic because we are in the dead heat of the summer in Florida we felt bad Dan had to go in the hot attic. Dan is a valuable asset to the company and I am pleased with his service!
