I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Community Foodscapes. For years we had wanted to add to our backyard, but could never figure out where to start. Community Foodscapes took our jumbled ideas and transformed them in a beautiful and thoughtful (not to mention delicious!) plan that completely exceeded our expectations.
The entire Community Foodscapes team is a pleasure to work with - from our initial consultation with Mike to working with David on the site plan to the installation with Albert and Eric - everyone was extremely nice, knowledgeable, and a top-notch professional. We are already discussing our next project with them! -
Fantastic team, very reasonable pricing. And just very lovely people. Our backyard steps and path look amazing. We will keep using them for additional projects.

I love Community Foodscapes! I was looking for a company that would not only assist me in design but also educate me in how to sustain and regenerate a healthy garden. Dave went above and beyond to learn about my interests and design an installation that fit both my needs and my budget. Dave, Albert and Mario showed up and taught me valuable information and skills for creating and sustaining a healthy foodscape. They were punctual, hardworking and super fun to learn from! I look forward to taking action with what I have learned and to working with Community Foodscapes again when I am ready to learn more!

Our back yard was a mess of invasive plants and poison ivy. Community Foodscapes offered a competitive price and cleared it out by hand (thereby protecting the native plants and soil integrity) in 1.5 days. The amount of work they did would have taken me months to do on my own (believe me, I had already tried). Communication was prompt and clear and I plan to hire them for many more future projects.

Recommend 10/10. From communication, to advice, to execution, they were a pleasure to work with. I am so so pleased with the beginning of this new journey of growing my own food. They helped to turn my lawn to mulch so I can start a raised bed garden.

What a wonderful experience! Mike listened to what I wanted and did a fantastic job. He is very knowledgeable and helped so much in making planting choices. I was given great tips to care for the plants and the service is excellent. Mike is always willing to make things happen. I am very happy with my experience and will certainly use Community Foodscapes in the future. Many thanks Mike!

Mike and the team at Community Foodscapes did a great job removing the privet & English Ivy that was overwhelming the back of our yard. They were very helpful with deciding what plants would be best for our yard and did a great job planting them and letting us know how to care for them. I'd highly recommend them.

I love Comminity Foodscapes; they transformed my front yard into a bee, bird, flower, berry, grape haven!! And when I need them to come and help with maintenance and my questions, they come(Albert is lead on maintenance). He is the best- so knowledgeable, kind, professional and willing to answer all of my many questions about our meadow!!
I feel really uplifted after they come to our yard! Sounds silly maybe, but completely true!! -
Mike, Jesse, Jason and the entire team at CoFo are the best! We just finished our second phase of landscape design after a successful first install in our backyard. The design collaboration process is fantastic and I really appreciate being able to approve my estimate line item by line item online. They are responsive and professional throughout the entire process and they do stellar work. We're gearing up for phase three, so we can conclusively say it's worth your time to consult with Community Foodscapes! We now have a dramatic transformation front and back yard to include drainage resolution, bed design, microclover install, a whole lotta plants and flowers that support our pollinators and a beautiful trail sloping down to our garden! We were aligned with their mission of restoring native habitats and wanted to be careful environmental stewards on this outside renovation, so glad we found them!

Community Foodscapes came highly recommended, so when I was finally ready to start my massive project, they were who I wanted to use. I greatly appreciate the wealth of knowledge they bring and ideas they offer, and that they dont use unnecessary equipment or toxic chemicals. From the get go, every single person I have spoken to has been incredibly pleasant, helpful, and informative. The quote format they use is easy to understand and navigate. They arrived on time each day, and communicated with me throughout the job. I'm so happy I hired them, and can't wait to be ready to bring them back for the next part of my backyard oasis.

We are first-time homeowners and I am so thrilled to be able to have Community Foodscapes help us with our property. Their vision is one that I share, myself. They are top-notch professionals, working with us on what our goals are for a natural landscape. I can't recommend them enough and I look forward to moving forward with them on many phases of projects to come. I've learned so much from Elijah and I love the collaboration process with him and the team, also.

I have been a loyal customer of Community Foodscapes for about 7 years. My colleague referred them to me because she had been using them to help with her front yard vegetable garden. She invited me to see her garden. I saw it and it was very impressive. I then contacted them and found that they were very professional. They would come and have an in-person consultation and then send a detailed itemization of what the job would entail, how many men would come and approximately how many days it would take. They also estimated the amount of soil in pounds they would need to haul away, and its estimated cost. This allowed me to subtract anything I did not have a budget for at the moment and to keep what I could be able to work on per my budget at the time. I loved their transparency. In addition, they would tell you when and at what time they would come and they would let you know the names of their workers who would be coming. The job would be done exactly as they described it. No extra trace of the work was left behind because they took care of that.
I have used them in multiple landscaping and other projects because they are reliable and are NOT crooks. My latest project was a renovation of my lawn to a garden with stepping stones. My lawn had been reduced to just no grass at all so I decided to make it into a garden. Dave has a wealth of knowledge about botany and he and his crew did such a great job, I could have hugged him like they do on the make-over shows. The only reason why I didn't do that was because I was busy at work and he left before I could see him. The results were beyond my expectations.
I definitely plan to continue using Community Foodscapes in the future. I hope they think I am a good customer. In this world of stories of construction people doing things like digging a hole for a pool and never coming back or wedding photographers getting all the money but not showing up for a couple's wedding (a story I recently saw on the news), Community Foodscapes is a company you can rely on doing quality work, being a company with integrity and skill.
I highly recommend this company! I do not go on social media much but wanted to share and give proper congratulations to a well run and honorable company. I wish you much continued success! -
I can’t recommend the kind folks of CoFo enough! We entrusted them with designing and installing hardscaping for us, and it was done with so much care and attention to detail! They even recycled some of the shrubs that they had to remove from one spot and transplanted them for us. I can’t wait to work with this team again for future phases! Book them - you’ll be glad you did!

I recently contacted Community Foodscapes for a landscaping project at my home, and unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the outcome, or lack thereof. I was very excited about meeting with CF to learn more about transforming my yard. I paid the initial consultation fee and met with the team. I was promised a quote within one week. At the one-week mark, I contacted CF to inquire about the quote. I was told that someone would contact me that day. I did not receive a call. I called back the next business day and was told again that someone would contact me. Unfortunately, that did not happen.

The whole team at community foodscapes was awesome. They did an amazing design including hardscapes, then were flexible working with us on things that we wanted to DIY. They were great on communication the whole time. When installation day came, the crew was super nice, played with our dogs, did an amazing job planting, grading and mulching the whole back yard. They were on time, quiet and professional. We had a great overall experience with Community Foodscapes.

Our backyard was full of old growth bushes, failed plants and underutilized areas. Andrew helped take our vision, budget, likes/dislikes and put it into a gorgeous backyard plan that also included some items we wouldn't have thought of. Everything was well communicated and well thought out. They were patient and understanding with our many changes of plan, reworking of the plan and updating the plan again! Finally Mike and crew made it all happen with prep and installation. They worked hard and were very communicative. We can't wait to see everything growing and thriving. Highly recommend!

I just finished a duplex construction project and needed landscaping that would be the first step in a longer term investment.
The goals were to be to be cost-effective, satisfy CO requirements, and create a foundation I could build upon. Also, I didn’t want generic, bland landscaping. I wanted something that was native and useful - things that Community Foodscapes also value.
The result was an herb garden, beauty berry bushes that provide berries for animals and can act as a “bug spray,” and quick grow rye to prevent erosion until I can come up with other plans. They also did some hardcore work that helped with water management.
I’m very pleased with the work and highly recommend. -
Community Foodscapes os amazing! They did several projects around the property, all of which turned out great. They built some retaining walls and terraces, installed a small dry creek and rain garden, and put in a path. Everything went smoothly and was completed on time. They even reseeded a few areas of grass and power washed the driveway when they were done. We will be working with them again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone looking to increase biodiversity in their yard.

It's been a joy working with Community Foodscapes! From our initial inquiry to the full execution of the first part of our project, communication was excellent. They are incredibly fair and transparent with their work orders, they arrive on time for scheduled appointments, and completed their work effectively. Our front yard, which has low light due to tree coverage, and became a brush forest completely covered with weeds, was completely transformed with beautiful micro clover. The team is helpful and knowledgeable, and just generally quite kind. I look forward to working with them for the next part of our project!

I had bad drainage issues in the front of my house that I had multiple companies out to look at. Most people either ended up not calling me back or not really understanding the issue. Mike and his crew at Community Foodscapes came out multiple times and ended up putting in a dry creek bed. Excellent service and work! I intend to eventually use them again to fill it with native plants. Highly recommend!
