Update: We still love BTC! The crew works hard to keep our property looking good and are always very courteous and respectful. Communication with the owner is easy and he is very responsive.

Thanks Beyond the Curb for keeping our yard looking great year round! Hard working crew and Jon (the owner) is awesome! They have different tiers of pricing based on your needs and expectations and they also offer specialized services throughout the year as well.

We have been using their yard servicing for a few years and it is truly a life saver! They have the yard look new and trimmed each and every week. Anytime there has been a question or issue they have addressed it immediately. Would definitely recommend them!

Having been an avid gardener for many years, I am thrilled to have Beyond the Curb on my side as I advance into my older years. I am glad to have this crew available to handle tasks i cannot take care of by myself any more.

His team broke some of our lawn furniture that has to be moved when the grass is cut. This was known by his team when we were given the estimate and contact. When we emailed Jon, the owner, to let him know this was his response:

"First, I understand the situation, and honestly, I'm surprised more damage hasn’t occurred, considering the frequency with which the furniture is being moved. I’ve seen the photos, and it’s clear that the furniture is of high quality. However, it seems it may not be designed to be relocated so often. Typically, furniture meant for frequent movement, like those found at beaches or public pools, is built with tubular frames that are fully connected, minimizing stress points. Unlike your pieces, which have feet or legs that create potential stress areas where they attach to the main body of the chaise, this type of furniture is more prone to wear and tear under frequent moving.

That being said, how would you like us to proceed? We’d like to find a solution that you’re happy with."

We were blown away by his response, and followed up with an email to let him know we wanted to cancel their services.

Below is his response:

"As the president of Beyond The Curb Landscaping, I take full responsibility for any misunderstandings. If I had been made aware that furniture needed to be moved, I would not have agreed to this, this falls outside our scope. To my understanding, the furniture was not present during Alvin’s original walkthrough.

As president, my top priority is always our associates. We pride ourselves on the exceptional quality of our team members and our remarkably low turnover rate, year after year. Our associates work tirelessly to provide the highest quality lawn and landscape services to our clients, and I am extremely proud of the dedication and passion they bring to their work. I stand behind them because I know they care deeply about what they do, and they reflect the standards we hold at BTC.

As president, building strong, positive relationships with our clients is always a priority for me. I’ve been open to resolving the situation and was even willing to replace the furniture if that would make things right. However, you’ve chosen to cancel your service. While I regret that we won’t have the opportunity to continue working with you, I’m grateful to know early that we have different relationship values.

We wish you all the best moving forward."

As a business owner myself, I would have immediately apologized and offered to replace the furniture asap.

Make of it what you will, but I'd avoid Jonny at all costs.

Great work with Mulch and Pine Straw; they also teak an excellent care of the garden in my house.

Recently, they completed a major project in our backyard, installing turf, plants, lighting, and the results far exceeded our expectations. Brian was the perfect project manager—communicative, organized, and genuinely invested in making sure everything turned out just right. The whole team was great to work with. We couldn’t be happier with the transformation.

Great work, I'm a dogwalker and they are responsible for one of my client's Neighbor's lawn and everytime I see it I gush at its beauty!!! Wish I could afford such awesome service at my recently purchased 1st home!!!

We’ve been using Beyond The Curb for several years now, and they always do an amazing job!!! We always get lots of compliments about how nice our yard looks, and we are always happy to refer our neighbors to BTC. I would also like to give a specific shout out to Saul, who leads our regular maintenance crew. He is very conscientious and always goes the extra mile to make our yard look great!! And, finally, I would also like to mention that we recently did an installation with Jon and his team, both landscaping and hardscaping, and we were extremely pleased with the work they performed! We highly recommend this company!!
