Water Damage Restoration reviews in Columbus, Georgia

When we returned home from vacation on a Saturday evening to find our house flooded from a failed water line. We contacted SERVPRO immediately and Ashley showed up within an hour. She successfully stabilized the situation and provided us with details on what would happen next. Next we met with Adam, the restoration Manager. He put a plan together and the pack out team, Candice, Mellissa and Sha’Kera, began immediately. We were all packed out within a week. Outstanding work. Josh and team began the demo work next. They completed their work in around a week. Again, great work. Now we look forward to working with the reconstruction team. The teammates we mentioned above, I would hire to work for me anytime. Hard working, thorough, polite and professional. Way to go SERVPRO!

Allow me to start by saying that no one wants to need this type of service. However, one year ago (6/14/2024) I became a person who desperately needed it. My house caught fire while I was sleeping in it. Due to massive oak trees, I had a steel roof. That roof held the fire inside, effectively burning up 99% of my possessions. Hagan with ServPro was at my house the next morning to secure whatever may have been left. Over the course of the next year, I had communication with a myriad of people. Brandon, the owner, made sure I knew they would take good care of me. Ashley lit fires under folks (no pun intended) to keep things going to the best of their ability (delays due to weather and permits and inspections, etc, notwithstanding.) ServPro brought in several competent groups to help. A few were not so competent (most notably is CRDN who did not attempt to save ANY of my belongings besides the jacket I demanded.) This project was massive and they told me so. My first project manager was Corey, but he is no longer with the company. Jonathan Westbrook took over just a few months in and helped me at every turn with the decisions I had to make. Monica even helped me find someone to rebuild my fence (not damaged by the fire, therefore not covered by insurance). But, here I am, one year later, in my "new" old home. Below, you will find before and after pics. If ever there was a moment for #blessed, it's now!

Joshua of ServPro Water Mitigation did a great job for us. He came immediately and set up a series of fans and heaters to start the drying process for the carpet and drywall due to a water leak. He also neatly cut and removed the drywall to find the source of the leak. Very professional. Very dependable.

This rating is based on our interactions with the movers and MDG Group Services, LLC (subcontractor). They were excellent with amazing attitudes and very friendly. They did excellent work. Again, this review is only for the 2 departments I mentioned. I wouldn't recommend ServPro as a whole, because of communication issues, and the painter brought in by the Project Manager, Preston Britt, tried to charge us $2000 out of pocket; wasn't good at communicating and would tell the contractor, working on our repairs, that he was too busy to being over supplies/materials needed to complete repairs. I was told this review was supposed to be for the moving staff which is why it's a high rating. I'll be giving a different review for ServPro itself explaining in more detail why I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone!

What a process and it's not for the faint at heart. My damage came from a dishwasher that caused damage to my custom cabinets, floors, walls and counter tops. This process took patience, 6 months to be exact but I'm happy with my final results. Britt Preston was my project manager and I can say he was always professional and responded to my calls and text. I initially felt overwhelmed but Preston was there to assist and guide me along the way. The contractors that completed my flooring (Bobby), cabinets, painting and backsplash (Monica) were phenomenal! There were a few things I wasn't happy with but Serv Pro made me a happy customer. I did have a few damaged goods and was under paid for those but at the end of the day I'm glad the process is complete! Thanks to Britt and his team, I'm happy.

I would like to personally thank Allen/Alan for returning my phone call and putting me at ease. And especially a huge thank you to a courteous young lady, Ashley, for taking the time after being off, on her Birthday, and coming to assist me with this leak. She was very courteous, professional and explained the dry out process. I was extremely satisfied with her performance tonight and reduced my stress level and anxiety with this leak. Thank you again, Happy Birthday Ashley.

Ashley and Josh did an outstanding job with my water mitigation service. From the moment they arrived, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely thorough. They assessed the damage quickly, explained every step of the process, and made sure I understood what to expect. Their equipment was top‑notch, and they worked efficiently to remove the water, dry the affected areas, and prevent further damage.

Josh, Amarie, and Jason were extremely professional and conducted themselves respectfully in our home. They were able to deal with our mold issue and remove the infected kitchen counters, cabinets, etc… I am now waiting on the construction team to finish the job. As of now I highly recommend ServPro of Columbus, GA. I will update this review after the construction team finishes the job.

This company is amazing I recommend it for everyone.
