Reviews of local pros in Fortson, Georgia

Oak Hill Arborist is a great company to work with. Service was excellent. Communications were spot on and the crew was very friendly.

I really hope their customer service is much better than their drivers. One male driver was cursing me out because I patiently waited to get over with a signal light on. Road rage before 8am is a huge deal, especially with my child I have in the truck. I don’t condone it. Please note it’s never that serious to be so rude, disrespectful or verbally chaotic to individuals just because you woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

These guys were fast, courteous and very communicative. They also did a great job cleaning up after the removal. Thanks!

Matt and his company are hands down the best tree removal company I’ve ever dealt with. They responding extremely fast and gave me the best quote around town. They showed up early, completed the job, and made sure everything was clean and squared away. I cannot say enough good things about this company!

We couldn’t be happier with this team! They took down a huge pine tree in our yard that was starting to die and made the whole process stress-free. They even went the extra mile to move the wood to the backyard for us and left the yard spotless. It’s rare to find a crew that’s both efficient and thoughtful — we’ll definitely call them again!

Incredible experience today with Oak Hill Arborist. Great group of men. Special thanks to Mike, Kyle and Daryl. Thank you for the wood drop off, the education and care you gave my property. You’ll be the first we call when we need the big jobs done.

Services provided were as agreed upon, and crew providing the services was professional and courteous. Highly recommend Oak Hill Arborist for your your tree service needs.

Do not bother looking for another tree service. I obtained several estimates and Oak Hill offered the most help for the best price. They took down a huge tree, hauled away everything, and put my fallen fence back up for less than other companies quoted to merely cut down the tree. The entire crew was courteous, on time for the job and completed it efficiently. I would rate higher than five star if I could.

Oak Hill Arborist is a Team of professionals who are extremely organized, caring, and dedicated to satisfying their customers. I used them this week and have never met such a nice group of knowledge young men who do what they do! I highly recommend Oak Hill Arborist. Special THANKS to Matt, Jeff, Kyle & Jackson for making this experience a good one. God continue to bless you and your business. 🙏🏾

Just had some trees cleared off our property. Worked with Jeff and Kyle, and their outstanding professionalism and work ethic was second to none. Thank you for a job well done. I would recommend Oak Hill Arborist Tree Services to anyone.

Great dudes, great price, great service, fast, and they cleaned up the place better than how they found it. I highly appreciate and recommend them.
Had them trim up a bunch of pines above our house and will hire them again to eventually remove the trees.

They arrived on time and was very detailed in their process. Very professional and polite. I would not hesitate to use these guys again.

The first two pictures are before they cleared my forest.

This was a dual phase bit of work. Had a tree that split down the middle of the trunk and came within inches of hitting my house. Oak Hill Arborists came out and gave the me 411 on what was going on with that tree because I really liked it and it was in my front yard blocking all the bad energy from the street. Sadly it wasn't recoverable and they cleared the tree away in 3 hours. No joke. A team of eight descended on that tree and it was gone in no time. Easy to coordinate and the left the work area cleaner than when they showed up.

Second phase was the stump grinding. On the advice of a professional, we waited till the fall season to grind out the stump. It was a stubborn stump and still alive due to its strong root system. This was Oak Hill's very first stump grinding and they did a great job. So after the stump was ground out, they relocated my small Japanese Maple and planted it where the stump was with motherly care. I am so glad because that stump was just sitting there and my little maple needed a new location. Excellent job overall. These guys have the skill and knowledge to look after all your arboriculture needs.

Exemplary customer service! Matthew and his team ground down a massive stump and leveled it so nicely. They even replanted a tree and educated me on how to fertilize and take care of it for the best chance to survive. Thank you Oak Hill Arborist for your excellent work and a job well done!

My cat was stuck in a tree for 7 days. I called every place that you can think of for help. I call this location and spoke with the Owner Matthew Kaps. He gave me the number of one of his employees Darryl and told me that he would help me. He came helped me retrieve my cat. Darryl was pleasant and patient. Excellent service. The staff, The Owner and the help are very nice compassionate people. The price was very reasonable and fair. Thank you Mr Kaps and Darryl.

Matthew and his team are true professionals. They skillfully and precisely removed several large trees from my property. The crew was well-organized and communicated effectively throughout the process. They worked incredibly hard, left my yard even cleaner than before, and even put everything back in place—including my playground. I highly recommend them and will definitely be calling them back for future jobs. Thanks, guys!

I can’t rave about them enough. They removed a large oak tree from my front yard in a single day, were willing to price match any other quotes I received and, cleaned up well before they left. The tree was not going to be easy to remove because it was right against my fence, about 4 feet from the house, had branches right at power lines and, was about 15 feet from the neighbors.

Jeff and the guys at Oak hill went above and beyond for us in removing a tree. We had a roughly 120 foot pine with termite damage, a hollow portion of the trunk and was actively dying. Jeff and his team got the tree down in one day, and left our property in better condition than he found it. The entire crew was friendly, professional and I can not recommend these guys enough. 10/10

Great service and excellent crew.
The yard looks very nice , they cleaned up 🧹 the tree and yard waste to my liking. I got no complaints. I recommend (Oak Hill Arborist tree service. ) I’m Mr. Lucky 🍀 and you can take my word on that… Bad luck doesn’t follow me 👍🏾

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Cannot say enough positive things about our experience with the team from Oak Hill Arborist Tree Service, LLC. Matthew Kaps’ crew, lead by Jeff, were professionals who knew what they were doing when it came to removing huge, aging bushes and pruning several other bushes and a couple of trees. Our backyard looks so much better! So glad we connected and did business with Oak Hill Arborist!

Let me start off by saying that this company was clearing the ditch behind my yard. I had a fig tree in my back and asked if they would cut it down for me and how much it would be. Well they worked with me and they said since they were already here working "WHY NOT". And they got right on it. I can't tell you how thankful I am that they helped me. All of the guys were just wonderful and so helpful. So if you ever need help then I most definitely encourage you to call this company. 💯 recommend them!!!! They were working, but also talking and smiling and laughing and it was great to see them in action.

Thank you
