Water Damage Restoration reviews in Honolulu, Hawaii

There was a leak from the toilet and shower coming from the unit above me which damaged my ceiling, bathroom, vanity area, and a wall of my master bedroom. I called MD Restoration and Paul Parke, Project Manager, came to my unit to do an assessment of the damage. Paul worked with the field inspector from my insurance company to determine the scope of work to repair my unit. During the entire process, Paul was very responsive to my questions by phone, email, and text. The demolition crew, Aaron, Anthony, and Kayson, took care to protect the flooring and sealed up the damaged area so not to expose the rest of my unit to dust and any possible mold. They were able to remove my recently installed bathroom countertop, cabinets, and mirror without any damage. They did an amazing job. The repair crew restored my unit to its pre-damaged condition and it looks great! I was provided with updates and photos during the demo and repair process. The office staff, Brandy, Rey, Troy, and Chase, were also helpful and responsive to my questions. From the beginning, everyone at MD Restoration was polite and professional. I would recommend using MD Restoration!

I burned a pot on the stove and needed smoke mitigation. MD Restoration's Project manager, Paul, did a great job, but we needed to run the machines venting the smoke a few more days to totally get rid of the smoky air in the unit which was making me sick.
For doing the job completely to safeguard my health, MD Restoration charged me $5,000 above the "industry standard" which I must pay out of pocket.
They ran a couple of machines s little longer---its not as if they did any "work" the way a tiler or carpenter actually do work---and they made an easy $5,000 and a huge hole in my budget that really hurts. I thought the few days might cost maybe $1,000 to $2,000 more, which seems reasonable. As my insurance agent said, "It's a choice they make."----Mrs. Jim Brewer -
MD restoration was hired to do the repairs to my apartment by the property management company after the unit above had a leak. The lack of communication was appalling.
We had set a date when the the damaged ceiling was to be removed but no one contacted me when workers would arrive, what needed to be done on my end to clear space for the workers, and to arrange access to the unit. I awoke to them knocking on my door and returned the following day to my stuff strewn across multiple rooms of my house. I could have packed it up, I could have been up and ready but nothing was communicated. Even when the demo work was done, they texted that they would communicate when clearance to reenter the unit would be but I heard nothing back and called the next day as I was checking out of my hotel only to find that work had been completed the day before and that they again, "thought they had messaged me." The following day they returned to put in the drywall for the ceiling, but again, no communication about arrival times or work that was being done and how long they would be in the unit. I've given up contacting the coordinator and just talk with the construction crew as they actually contact me and inform me of all the important information.
I would have fired them and hired a new company if it were my unit and not the property management coordinating the repairs. -
I was very concerned with their first attempt to complete “move out cleaning” on my condominium. But one of their employees came back and agreed, so she completed a full on deep cleaning, including, going to City Mill, to repair my refrigerator water line that was leaking. WOW I wish I knew her name, I think it was Pualani, so I can thank her for going the extra Mile to fix the problem. I am so thankful. The success in selling my condo, along with the best Realtor Susan Borochov can be attributed to both of them. Forever grateful! Highly recommend.

There was a leak in our roof which caused light flooding in the house. MD Restoration was our first call and they quickly got someone out to our property within the hour. Justin from MD Restoration was so nice and extremely helpful! He explained everything to us in detail and kept us at ease during this semi chaotic time. We are so grateful!

LOVE these folks! I called to get my carpet cleaned and Craig returned my call the same day and stopped by the next to check on the job to be done. The techs—Eric and Ryan—showed up on time and let me know they were here. They worked efficiently and diligently; cleaned up after themselves. My carpet looks great! I am very pleased with their service at a reasonable rate. Thanks to the MD team!

Reputable Restoration and Repair Company that I fully trust. Very satisfied with their service and undeniably happy how quickly they responded to our flooding emergency in our home.

A water main break in early hours of a Saturday morning caused extensive flooding of our home. MD Restoration arrived within an hour and evacuated the water efficiently, installing an industrial dehumidifier and measuring the moisture over the subsequent week. It was very helpful to have professionals with the right equipment as we would not have known there was water in the walls. We hired them for the abatement and repair as well. Rey and Justin were 5-star outstanding on the abatement and then putting things back in place. Without their help the delay to complete the repair work would have been even more frustrating. Aside of that would give 5-stars.

Paul Kaminaka provided excellent service! He called ahead of time, arrived right on time. He was professional and nice. He did an amazing job cleaning our floors and carpets. The floor LITERALLY is a different color. He was attentive to detail (made sure to check if my husband and I had any allergies that might be affected by the scent, gave us shoe covering etc.) Could not have asked for better! Thank you!

We had an issue with our lights after a very complicated remodel, but thank goodness for Shannon Krakover, Because she sent a very good electrician, Howard Matsushiro and he did a great job of getting our electrical and lighting straightened out. If we ever have problems like it this again, we will definitely go to ServPro of Kailua!

I had a category 3 water overflow in my kitchen sink that damaged the cabinet below it and the engineered plank flooring in the kitchen. The baseboards and adjacent kitchen walls were also soaked.
Servpro to the rescue! Juan placed devices that blew hot air out and pulled the resulting moist air back in, condensed the moisture from the intake air and ran the liquid down the sink. They also installed a hepa filter fan to clean the air of contaminants in the flood water. They were experienced and efficient and left me with a lot of hot air and noise but also a clean kitchen where a flood of category 3 water was standing when they arrived.
Nale arrived daily to monitor the progress with the goal of leaving my home completely dry and free from developing mold. He was also experienced and efficient and just an all around great person - empathetic and helpful. In addition to returning at the scheduled time each day, he called me just prior to let me know he was on his way.
Servpro made a really unpleasant experience tolerable. It’s not only their training and experience that make them a successful company. They value employees who care about the customer and demonstrate it. -
My recent experience with the Servpro team here in Honolulu was excellent. Everyone was easy to work with and promptly on time each day. Especially the technician Nale, he was here most of the days and was extremely helpful throughout this process. I am very satisfied with his efforts.

I am pleased to take a moment to recognize the outstanding service I recently received in my residence from the SERVPRO Team in Hawaii. And I would like to specially recognize Billy Brymer who proved to be a credit to his organization and himself. He provided me top drawer, professional support in finalizing the work I had received. I would not hesitate to recommend SERVPRO to assist with a mitigation project and I could not be more pleased with the final result.

Project initiation:
You answered their phone at 9:00 p.m. and courteously and gladly scheduled a time to come inspect my water leak. THANK YOU!
Louise Ahnen also did a great job calling to follow up with me after their team came over. She emailed all the parties involved which saved me some times-- something in short supply right now with all the problems I'm addressing for this repair.
This company has been a breath of fresh air.

Update during Project Initiation:
I also want to thank SHELBY. That is a hard working, thoughtful, and expertly qualified lady! I had lots of questions and she patiently and comprehensively explained all of them.
Tell the owner this lady needs to be paid whatever it takes to keep her: bonus, promotion, commission--whatever. She's skillful and a bigger asset than perhaps you guys realize.

Project Closure Update:
In short: Stellar Project Management and Successful Project Completion
The project has reached its successful conclusion, and it’s time to express our heartfelt gratitude. Our Project Manager, Shannon Krakover, deserves a standing ovation for her exceptional performance. Her patience and perseverance were the beacon that guided us through the tumultuous storms that we encountered during the project.
Shannon epitomizes the value of having a general contractor who also excels in project management. Her worth is truly immeasurable, akin to a treasure trove of gold. When contractors fell short of expectations, Shannon was there, lending us an empathetic ear and ensuring the necessary corrections were made promptly.
She stood as the pillar of integrity, making certain her company fulfilled their promises. Even when faced with unprofessional communication from certain unnamed parties, she displayed remarkable self-control and patience. Her focus never wavered from the ultimate goal - the successful completion of our project.
Without Shannon, this achievement would have been a distant dream. She is a precious asset, not only to her company but also to any project fortunate enough to have her at the helm. Her contribution is invaluable, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her unwavering support and guidance.
