The location is great! The price is very expensive but you pay for quality.

Expect finishing like cheap apartments. Jobs done poorly. None of their contractors are experienced. Something wrong, it will take them forever to come and fix.

Bought a new home from Hillstone Homes of Arizona. The process was smooth and I was kept informed through out the process. The work was excellent and from the sales person, bank and site Supervisor everyone was and still is awesome. I would highly recommend this company.

Experienced team of award-winning builders, Hillstone Homes offers affordable homes that are beautiful and functional. Backed by a ten year warranty, these homes are energy efficient beyond industry standards and will provide a lifetime of enjoyment. Would highly recommend!

It’s very unfortunate that Hillstone continues not to care about their customer experience after they take your money for the down payment and is emotionally involved in the home you are so excited to build. They continue to blame contractors, suppliers yet never apologize or take responsibility nor try to mitigate time lost in any of these delays! Kevin who is supposed to take care of these issues continue to say “we don’t get paid until the job is done” which has nothing to do with us or our experience. We now have to cancel family coming into town for the holidays as our home was supposed to be done in June/July and now coming up on October which is now a year since we secured our lot. We still have no timeline of what to expect. Delay after delay with no regard to their costumers. Never even a apologize or trying to emphasize with us after giving them well over $20k. This is very disappointing and I would think twice before investing with this company.

Worst home builder I have ever encountered. The owner does not care for his company, only the money it brings. If he cared he would have been the first person to jump when there were severe issue with our process that he had been made aware of. I have contacted him on numerous occasions and he is either too busy, flat out ignores me, or gives a small one sentence response that brushes away my complaint. He is so removed from "the little people," that he will not even show up to any HOA meeting that our subdivision has. Even though he is the president and on the board AND the ONLY person that can approve decisions for our community.

Learn from my mistake, if you want the owner (Lou Turner) to be held accountable for any promises made by the super you need to submit a complaint with the registrar of contractors. Other subdivisions in Hillstone Homes may have competent superintendents, if not you will be screwed. Lou and the super did not care about quality and they showed that they did not care to listen or to help.

The only reason I did not give Hillstone Homes one star is because of the sales team. They are very nice, understanding and are always willing to lend and ear if you are having problems with your home building process.

Update 10/2/20: I'll revisit this rating when build is complete.
    *****
The home sold my wife and the lot sold me at Hillstone Dysart. We love these homes and the space between them. This neighborhood is definitely worth a look.

It's been an absolute pleasure working with Dan. He's answered all of our questions and when need be, will reach out to the superintendent and/or owner.

Working with superintendent Jared has been great as well. He made it a point to clarify our options down to exact placement as to do the job right the first time.

Looking forward to working with both of them more as our forever home is underway.

We built our home back in 2018. I waited to give a rating since it is important to know how the house stands to the test of time. Out of the 4 homes I purchased and built this one has got to be by far the WORST quality home I have lived in. Overall, the quality of work done to build the house is likened to the level of an unprofessional unlicensed contractor. As we began home renovations post purchase, thing after thing kept coming up that required us to dump more money onto our projects just to medigate the cheap, corner cutting construction that was done on this home.

Someone stated in their review they are like cheap apartments, I second that! I have never lived in a home that was this cheap in quality and work. Others mentioned the unprofessional manner of the workers, which I also second. I never experienced as much gaslighting and dismissive behavior as I did working with this company to build our house. This isn't buying a burger somewhere, it is a home purchase, somewhere to live. It's a large purchase that most people can't afford to do. At least have the decency to provide the best quality in both the construction and customer service.

To any prospective buyers, go with a more reputable company like Shae, Taylor Morrison, or Woodside. This isn't one of thoes "little guy," companies that deserve a chance.

    EDIT:
We tirelessly worked with the builder to correct the work even after moving in. However they were gaslighting us the whole way saying we never brought up any issues each time we asked for corrections and to revisit issues we brought up during the building process. Seems like they don't even remember how bad the situation got and escalated. Downgraded to 1 star because that response shows how incapable they are of learning from their past indiscretions.

My experience buying a new home with Hillstone was positive, and the entire purchase process was completed as promised, including selection of many available options and upgrades. During the 5 month building phase I visited the site often and enjoyed seeing my new home constructed. All the staff at Hillstone were always friendly and available to answer my questions along the way.

Having now been in my new Hillstone home for the past 18 months, I am very pleased with the quality of materials and construction. All of the components of my house, including HVAC, plumbing and fixtures, flooring, cabinetry, roofing and interior/exterior walls have had no defects. Hillstone also provides an extensive warranty which is very reassuring.

Hillstone Homes is highly recommended to anyone considering the purchase of a new home!

Have had some of the worst experience with the air conditioning and flow was suppose to have a return duct in down stairs bedroom never added now 2. Years. 8 months into this house air conditioner downstairs broke have to replace condenser had other problems with this house would. Like a rebate if possible won't happen so many things went wrong we had to fix ourselves and have builders fix after the fact now the unit went out slap stick work I thought I'd add to this review. We moved in in November of 2018 and we just had to have a new air conditioner. Put in all the duck work done in our upstairs. Re done we had to pay thousands of dollars to fix. Chase Roberts mistakes for something that 6 and a 1/2 years old.We shouldn't have to put that kind of money into a home That's a new build. We also paid $6500 to have the insulation redone. We have to have the old insulation removed. And what and new insulation put in?It looked like somebody took paper and shredded it in our attic. I complained the whole first year about the upstairs. Air conditioner not working and we got some of the stupidest excuses ever like you? Only put 1 person in the room. Make sure your bedroom doors are open after we have the whole duck work done and new air conditioner. Put in somehow we can have the cold in the bedrooms, so we don't have to have the door bedroom doors open duh it was done correctly the second time. But not by the builders that made this house or chase Roberts.Whoever they hired the worst people ever to do our stuff

We purchased one of Legendary's spec homes and it was our first new construction. We were drawn to the character of our home. Crown molding, tongue and groove flooring, solid doors, high ceilings (including the basement)... in short, it felt like a custom home. The floor plan (Southern Living inspired) was well thought out and gave everyone more than enough space to do what they needed or wanted. While those things were important to us, we bought the house because of the quality of construction. It was extremely well done and no corners were cut. If we are to build a new house down the road, Legendary Homes is the first call.

We absolutely love our Legendary Home!
Our experience was both fun and positive, and the quality of the home truly exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, the customer service provided by Matt and Josh has been outstanding. They were attentive, professional, and made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. We couldn’t be happier with our new home!

We’ve been working with Matt Stanley and Legendary Homes for a couple of years now, and it’s been an awesome experience from day one. Matt runs a super organized operation, keeps great communication with all his subs, and really pays attention to the details that make a difference in the final product.

He’s very hands-on and easy to work with — always makes sure everyone on site knows the plan and what the end goal is. That kind of involvement is rare these days, and it shows in the quality of the homes Legendary builds.

We’ve sent a few friends his way who were looking to build, and we’ll keep doing it. Great company and great people to work with.

Our experience building a home with Legendary Homes was very positive. We had open communication as to what things we wanted to add or change.
Our project was finished in a timely manner. Our 90 day warranty follow up has been very good with Legendary Homes. Josh, our warranty representative has stayed on the contractors to make sure that all repairs have been completed.
