Our realtor told me and my wife to checkout Cheyney homes but when we stop by today we were rushed and told to check online. We felt like we were not good enough to take time out to ask questions. I am a veteran and was looking for a new home.

Nice environment with the outside covered seating area. My favorite meal so far is the chicken tender basket with sweet potato fries.

Review is for the HOA (Hawthorne management) Meridale has NOT Mattamy Homes in general. Hawthorne management has two separate agreements for this community, they are slow in responding, the agreement is old from when the first homes were build 10 years ago. Not letting homeowners that have a family have a trampoline and basketball net is absurd, especially since Mattamy has not built the pool and playground area for families that was supposed to be done by summer 2018. Thinking about moving from a community that does not value family life.

My Wife and I bought a new beautiful Townhome, hope find new friends on my new neighborhood, I'm Cuban and she is half mexican cuban, after a couple of months with the offer war, we stopped with Mattamy Homes, the agent Hallie Whelan treat us like a true friend, the process was smooth and clean, we are moving in a couple of weeks, We like it the quality of the buildings but what most motivated us to buy in this neighborhood was the diversity of the neighbors, from what I could see there are many people from India and other places and we liked that.

Jerry very informed. Did great, to the point overview. No long, from the book schpeal. Know if I follow his instructions I'd have a home (the way I want it) in about a year. That's fine. Been looking and bidding on homes (new and old) for 7 months. Moved here after I sold my home in Chicago( sold over ask in 3 days). At least I know I won't be in bidding war ie. DR Horton, KB, True for lots or list . G Patrick

After a year of looking for a home we stumbled upon Cheyney. We had the pleasure of working with ROBIN. Who was one of the best agents we have come across after looking at over a dozen communities. From the start she was very welcoming, honest, and willing to go the extra mile. She was not pushy which my fiancé loved and if we had a question she couldn't answer, she always found it for us. She is one of the many reasons we chose this community. The process was fun and when any issues did come up ROBIN and our building manager GERALD were on it. They sent us picture updates every so often along with texting us when something major was completed. Both of then were easy to talk to and made the process fun and easy. I would recommend asking for both of them if possible. Only issue that we ran into was the lady at the design center did seem to rush us and leave out options or not explain all of them. When i asked her if we could do a number of things she replied NO, we don't offer that in you community. Then I would visit a house in our community that had it, Which at that point its to late to change anything. Other then that we couldn't have asked for a better looking home. We are very thankful for the team that helped us. Especially ROBIN & GERALD. Along with all the finance team who were also a huge help and explained everything we needed as first time home owners. Thank you Jane & Sharon. Would highly recommend this community along with this team to help you through your process.

We stumbled across this subdivision looking for a home today and Jerry took the time to talk to us in the office. Once we got to the home to look at it he gave us his card and left. He stated that he didn't need to show us what a bedroom looks like that we could do that ourself. I stated that we would meet him back at the office and he said there was no need we had his card. Originally he was to show us three homes but only took us to one. I feel like we were very poorly judged and he didn't want to waste his time.

My wife and I bought our very first home and we have had an EXCELLENT experience. We worked with Robin, who was an excellent agent. Robin took time to explain the whole process to us, she took me to multiple homes so that I could have an idea of what the homes actually looked like. When we changed our mind, Robin was very patient and happy to show us the new layout.
Rob was our Project/Building manager. He has been an absolute pleasure to work with. He is always on top of things, answered all my questions very promptly and great with following up. Even after moving in Rob has been in touch with me and made sure that everything is to our liking.
It's been a month since I've moved in and I can honestly say that I am very happy with my decision.
Thank you Rob and Robin for making our first house buying experience so amazing. Both of you went above and beyond to make the whole process an absolute pleasure for us! -
I bought a Mattamy home a little over 2 yrs ago. The HVAC has failed numerous times. But my biggest complaint is the room above the garage is freezing cold. That area of the house was not insulated appropriately. And if you have a choice for the appliances do not go with the standard they put in the house, whirlpool. My dishwasher has already stopped working. It never cleaned the dishes well from day one. I wash/rinse my dishes prior to putting them in the dishwasher.so there shouldn’t be a problem. I waited 2yrs to find a Mattamy home community I wanted to live in. Now I’m just disappointed by the poor product and appliances they use for the homes now.

I’ve owned my townhome at Cheney Townhomes for almost two years, and my first year was peaceful. Unfortunately, once the neighboring unit became a rental, my experience changed completely. There is frequent excessive noise late at night, loud music, banging, and poor upkeep, including trash and debris left outside. The walls are extremely thin, and noise travels easily, which makes it difficult to enjoy your home in peace.
I’ve contacted the HOA multiple times, but noise issues remain unresolved. As a first-time homeowner, this has been very disappointing. I would strongly recommend asking about rental policies and sound insulation before purchasing here. Personally, I would not recommend this community if you value peace and quiet. -
I enjoyed the tour

I didn't receive a call back from anyone

Another client. They do a great job with E/I, EVERYTHING INCLUDED program. Beautiful homes at affordable prices in nice neighborhoods.

Had awful experience with the Lennar's Sales Rep at Walnut Creek community! Completely unprofessional and even rude. They don't care about customers at all. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Lennar is FULL of lies! Was told by Lennar than an "investor" bought out the whole 3rd phase of our community. Come to find out that the so called "investor" was Lennar. They gave the whole 3rd phase larger patios (which we couldn't have an option for). Also the whole 3rd phase has upgrades (which we also weren't allowed to get). They told everyone that bought in the 1st phase that there would be no rentals. But over half (including the whole 3rd phase) are rentals. BEWARE if you buy from Lennar! They WILL lie to you just to get your hard earned money!
