Neighborhood has brought too much traffic to the area that cannot sustain more cars. Was the major reason for a road to be closed for over a year. Built on former institution grounds, with no mention of the history that once stood there or respect to the area and the people who suffered there. Basically the people living there are existing on haunted grounds in bland cookie cutter structures. Tore down already function infrastructure and beautiful old buildings to build over priced, shoddy and grey new builds that are so close together that you could hear your neighbors snore next door. Truly they squeezed as many houses as they could on this plot of artificially-flattened land. Bizarre neighborhood set up with giant empty swaths of green space without any trees. Soulless and not designed with aesthetics. This neighborhood was designed with greed and solely profit in mind. As someone who values this area and maintaining the natural beauty of the neighborhood, this housing plan is the antithesis of a welcome addition to the area.

We were one of the first families to move into the neighborhood. It has been amazing to see the transformation so far and we are excited for the work still to be done. Our builder was easy to work with making sure we were satisfied every step of the way. He is still willing to help us out with what ever we need. I think it is a great neighborhood and concept.

I love the design and everything about my new home in Hastings Pittsburgh. However, I think the community needs a "sitting park" with benches , trees, and natural landscaping where residents can visit with one another. A sitting park would be nice for the older population and the terra park for the kids. Too many townhouses, homes, and carriage homes packed tightly together become unsightly when the natural environment is removed. Personally, I believe the community would be more attractive to those looking to purchase. I hope you will consider my suggestion.

If you’re looking for a production builder that is built fast and a sloppy mess, choose Charter. I have had nothing but problems since moving in. Every problem I addressed to home care, their answer to my concerns is that it’s “settling issues.” The people they send out to “fix” the problems are so nonchalant and make you feel as if they aren’t a big deal and a easy fix. To add to the list I was cleaning my oven and came across a piece of a wrapper still under my oven with wood chips everywhere. I will post pictures of it. No surprise. Charter does not take pride in anything that they do. They talk up how great all of the shops/restaurants are going to be yet 1.5 years later, nothing. They tell you that they are “ low maintenance homes” yet the only thing I see my monthly HOA fee going towards is cutting the common space greenery. Bushes have been trimmed once since living here. Weeds are not picked. Mulch is not maintained. Invest your money in a company that is willing to put in craftsmanship and that follows through with their promises.

Awesome neighborhood with great quality of construction! Mike and Ashley are great sales managers of the plan. If you are looking for new construction at an affordable price this is the place for you. There is nothing like The Great American Neighborhood that Charter builds. Highly Recommend looking at the Hastings plan if you are in the market for new construction!

We moved in to our Charter home at Hastings two years ago. The design is superior, timeless and more unique than what we saw from other builders. We are extremely happy with the build and our lot. Every time we walk into our home, my family is happy. And any issues we’ve had were handled by an amazing team of pros, from Andy to Kim to Jared to Jake. Plus, Wes and Rick have been super responsive. We’ve owned two other homes. And neither of them came close to what we have in Charter. As our neighborhood grows, we love to see the vision of our neighborhood come to life with the shops and variety of homes.

I moved into my new townhome at the end of September. My Sales Manager Jessica was helpful, patient and very kind. The whole experience was positive. I love living here. I feel safe and love the neighborhood!

We are very happy that we bought the house at Hastings, wonderful neighborhood and the whole transition was very smooth. Their sales team is wonderful specially Jessica. Enjoying the restaurants and yoga and also the gym. Highly recommend Hastings for new buyers.

We have purchased a townhome in the Hastings development of Charter Homes at Bridgeville. Jessica Homa was our Charter Homes agent helping us through out the process. She was extremely helpful through out the process and made it super easy. She was also very communicative and responsive. Thanks for everything Jessica, you are a 'super star'.
Braden Pahanish was assigned as the Project Manager by Charter Homes. He kept us informed on the progress of the new construction, completed construction ahead of schedule. He painstakingly explained every single detail about the new home features. This is the first time that a builder has paid so much attention to us and Branden was our main contact through out the construction. Thanks a million Branden. You are the best!!

Hastings Community is so great! everyone in this community is so friendly, We are happy that we have selected Hastings by Charter Homes to build our new home. I would like to mention Jessica Homa the sales manager. She was so helpful during the process and she was giving full attention to our needs and understand and she worked with us to make our dream a reality . Also, Braden Pahanish our Builder Manager was super cool person and he was there whenever we had queries and help needed. Kudos to charter home team for their exceptional support and professionalism in their work.

Closed on a home in Hastings in late June.

Jess and George were great to work with on both the Sales and Project Management parts of the process.

Jess was instrumental in finding the exact home that I was interested in through a fairly seamless process and George has been great to work with as the home was completed, walk through, and through some post-close work that was necessary.

New builds rarely go perfectly, but Jess and George have been professional, responsive and really easy to work together with throughout the process.

We recently brought a town home Hastings community. My sales manager is Rosie Halley. Rosie is a very experienced professional and helped me in all aspects entire process. She always comes with very welcoming and is very polite. Rosie made very easy contracting and buying process, and all went well. She is very much responsive and communicative. It was extremely easy working with her from the beginning to end of the buying process. We are very very happy with her. Thanks much Rosie for your incredible services and greatly appreciated. You are an "WONDER WOMEN" Rosie and happy to have you.

Braden Pahanish our project manager. He always communicate and updates the entire construction process, He is very detail oriented person and he explained every step of the progress. He is very responsive; he always communicates with text messages and emails. Braden is our project manager for the entire construction of the home and he completed with the allotted committed timeframe. Braden you are “SUPER STAR” Thanks a lot for your effort to made us extreme satisfaction.

We just purchased a new townhouse from Charter Homes. During the closing period, we received great service, including constant updates on the progress, help with measurements for our applicances and windows, and direct communications with our lender. The neighborhood is absolutely beautiful and the quality of the build was excellent.

We absolutely love our new “Carriage Home” in Hastings Landing. Jessica was a dream to work with. She went to great lengths to ensure that our home buying experience was stress free and positive. She was professional in the way that she addressed all of our questions and coordinated meetings with the builder to ensure all of our needs were addressed. Additionally, we couldn’t have had a better experience with Brayden, our builder, who expertly explained everything to us during our home orientation and went the extra mile to resolve any issues or concerns that we had.

Everyone wants to point out their great experiences but no one questions build quality. Lack of final paved roads for Phase 2 and 3. Constant water main breaks from poor subcontractors. They throw up houses in Phase 4 overnight with special variances from the township to minimize lot sizes. They are currently trying to move the mailboxes to the green space at the expense of the community all for the sake of selling an additional home. Plans for the community change constantly once houses are sold and buyers are told there will be green community space behind their homes only to find the builders sell that space to the highest bidder.

It was a priority for the community to get control of the HOA but those elected have only become lackeys for the builder and are not accomplishing much. There are no enforced rules with ongoing issues such as: Parking being a major issue. Lack of handicap access and ramps that are not compliant or to code. Landscaping and snow removal not being performed despite fees paid. Street and house lights out across the neighborhood.

Going back to landscaping, the most recent contract does not include all of the homes it should have and I have been told nothing will change for a year. This is 3 years of fighting the issue and only having the blame passed around or saying it's new contractors. They are only concerned about the exterior spaces so it's attractive to sell new homes under the guise it is maintainence free.

Recently they are trying to add playgrounds to the tune of $12k-16k without feedback from the community and 2 local parks/playground within walking distance.

I purchased a house with Charter Homes at Hasting in April, and I love it. While the buying process can be overwhelming and scary, the entire company, especially Jess, made it painless and easy. They are very respondent and receptive to any questions or concerns and work with you to the best of their ability to make sure your home is exactly how you envisioned. The neighborhood is very friendly and you get a nice sense of community. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to be a part of a community !

Drove through the neighborhood and the architecture and street view is amazing! As a potential homebuyer, this community is high on my list.
