A really great experience! I came in not really knowing much about anything looking for a plant for my windowless office. The staff there were extremely helpful, patiently answering all my questions (and I had a lot) and teaching me what to look for when selecting plants. I’ll definitely be coming back here for all of my plant needs. Super exceptional customer service!

Elizabeth , Jeff, and Deborah are very knowledgeable and passionate about the science of nature!! My parents garden has come back to life. The amazing scent of the flowers and soil are so inspiring!!

Wonderful! They were so helpful to find what I needed and even gave me advice on alkaline soil tips for my plants. I will stop by again for my future garden needs. The prices were better than big box stores brands and the plants were well maintained. Very knowledgeable staff and plenty of varieties to choose from.

Bathrooms are available here and they are clean! What a gorgeous place to see your favorite bright and lovely flora. Enjoy being surrounded by O2 producing plants! I accompanied my friend who is frequent buyer and she easily purchased about $100 worth of flowers that day! Great deals are irresistible!

Great little place in mission valley near Kaiser Zion. I was looking for something specific and one of the staff who was very knowledgeable helped me figure it out even though she was in the middle of something else! Very sweet and friendly! Definitely recommend.

Armstrong is my go to store for all my plant needs. Everyone is more than knowledgeable and can answer all you plant care questions. See you guys next time !

It was amazing how when I went to the register to ask a question I was told "Well, I don't know anything about garden stuff. You'll have to ask somebody else" and "Don't ask Nicole, she's on her way to lunch"
This is the experience I have had at every Armstrong Garden Center in LA also. Why I thought it would be different in San Diego is beyond me. STAY AWAY from these places. You will have a better experience anywhere else.

This location has a fairly new general manager, Ceaver (rhymes with Beaver). The plants and displays have never looked better. Ceaver is great with customers and highly interactive. He is down to earth -- haha, no pun intended. He is bringing this Armstrong location back to life...and by the number of customers there now, I am not the only one who has noticed. I like spending money with people who truly take pride in their work. Go, ask for Ceaver. He won't disappoint!

Such a beautiful place to shop! Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable and they will spend time to explain the care and maintenance of the plants you choose or even recommend items based on your needs/situation. I think they are very reasonably priced, (recently picked up 2, beautiful, potted, succulent arrangements for less than $25 each!) and offer an unbelievable variety of options. It was our first time visiting an Armstrong Garden Center but it won't be our last! Definitely recommend!

I stopped by this weekend for a few small plants and loved the selection. Not knowing too much about plants, I was helped by Khaalid and was directed towards plants that would be suitable for my home setup. They were kind enough to patiently explain to me proper plant care without making me feel dumb. The rest of that staff was also kind in helping me at the checkout. 10/10 will be back again!

....started buying house plants here recently and am already amazed and happy that they are thriving and growing so quickly.....such better quality and the interactions i have had with the staff have been educational and enjoying....looking forward to planning next year's butterfly garden with these folks....and of course, more house plants 🪴 😉

I would have given this review 5 stars alone for the atmosphere and wide selection, but I was dismissed early on by an employee who gave me a one word answer and no alternatives to my question. I ended up not finding what I was looking for and did not purchase anything during my visit. However, the rest of the staff seemed pleasant! In any case, they take very good care of their plants and have a huge variety of them for their location. With all of this in mind, and a much better interaction with a staff member later on, I think this location earned a 3/3.5 star review. I'm very new to gardening, and expect to revisit with the hope to have a better experience in the future!

Didn’t think a plant store would ruin my mood so much. Had to be one the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. The indoor employee was rude and couldn’t bother to show us options of a plant we wanted. Horrible and don’t plan on going back. Not worth it.

Definitely recommend if you are looking for new plants our want to ask questions to employees who know what they are doing. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. Shout out Mike!

Noel was a gem - after an hour of wandering around trying to understand what to choose in plants, soil, food etc - I was tired of figuring it out myself and trying to get help. He showed up as I ready ready to leave and helped explain everything I had selected and made me feel much more confident about leaving with my choices. Thank you!!

Excellent variety and condition of plants. checkout easy. Got a discount just ask for the seniors. Had to search a little bit for help but was provided with excellent information

Great variety of foliage. Lots of sales. Friendly and helpful staff. Strawberries eggplant and artichokes is what I left with my first visit

Been here for over an hour trying to pick out plants - not a single person working here offered any help. Went to the counter to ask about a particular item and the person answered my question but was very short and seemed cranky (Gina?). I didn’t want to push further. Figured at that point I’d go elsewhere for the same plants & get actual service. A bit disappointed. Hoped in coming to an actual place like Armstrong, I could hope for a little friendly help. No such luck. Also much more selection of plants and very few pots to choose from.
