The tended my lawn with care and offered to water my fig trees. Great, friendly service and professional work well accomplished. We are regularly scheduled and look forward to continuing service with this company and appreciate Joshua and Paul’s hard work!

My yard is weed free and completely manicured, why leave this flyer on my door. I have a sign that says no solicitation of any kind, why is this flyer on my door. The guy hanging flyers walked right through my yard with obvious patches of new sod laid. If you're a lawn care company how do you not instruct your people to NOT walk through yards, especially one that looks like mine. I wouldn't use a company that conducts themselves in this manner.

Gentleman was very kind and polite. He even assisted removing a big weed from flower garden. However, from start to finish, he treated entire yard in 10 minutes. I asked him if he spot sprayed weeds or used granules. He said he used granules but I cannot comprehend it being done so quickly. I will reach out to management to see if this is typical or if full service not being provided.

Absolutely Frustrating Experience — Overpromised, Under-delivered

I wanted to like this lawn care service. The website looked slick, the app was polished, and the promises of convenience and seamless scheduling were everywhere. But let me tell you — this was all flash and no follow-through.

First off, in order to even request a quote, I had to create an account and put a credit card on file. Not just for booking — just to get started. That should have been my first red flag. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt, figuring the high-tech setup meant high-quality service. Big mistake.

I tried three separate times to schedule service. Three. Each time, I got a confirmation... and then nothing. No one showed. No one called. I followed up via their customer portal (which is harder to navigate than it should be), and each time I got a vague excuse about "routing issues" or "technician availability." At this point, I’m wondering if they even have technicians.

Here’s the ironic part: for a company that touts itself as modern, efficient, and tech-savvy, they can’t even manage to send someone out to mow a lawn. What’s the point of having a fancy app and automated billing if you can’t deliver the actual service?

Eventually, I gave up and called a local mom-and-pop lawn care company I found through a neighborhood recommendation. They answered the phone on the first ring, gave me a fair quote on the spot, and showed up on time the very next day. Not only were they more punctual and professional, but they were also less expensive — and they didn’t ask me to fork over my credit card info just to say hello.

If you want reliability, respect for your time, and actual service — skip the high-tech gimmicks. Support a smaller businesses. They’re doing it better, with fewer resources, and a lot more heart.

Don't even get me started on their incessant door solicitations.

This was my first service from Macario Brothers. The technicians arrived early and got to work. They were pleasant, efficient, and worked swiftly. My yard has been a bit neglected so it needed fertilizer to jump-start the growing. Kevin and Alberto edged and left my yard well manicured. They paid attention to detail by weeding out the hedge bed and made suggestions to include adding mulch to make it look nice. I will have to include hedge trimming in the future service. I received a discount for the first service of mowing and fertilizing so I’ll know more about the cost of the total service on the next appointment.

These guys have been great so far, and because of their digital portal they make it pretty easy to do business with them. They do a great job. I've only used their lawn Service thus far and not their other services, but I do intend to make use of their other landscaping services soon.

Macario has been doing the lawn mowing, edging and blowing for about 5 months now. I started with them out of necessity. We were leaving on a long vacation and needed so upkeep while we were away. Each time they provide great service, are considerate of our dog and child and do great work. Plus the team is in and out. Thank you Kevin and Alberto!

I can’t say enough good things about Ryan at Macario Brothers Lawn Care! From the very first phone call, he was professional, friendly, and quick to answer all my questions about their fertilizer and weed control services.

He took the time to explain the process, set clear expectations, and made scheduling effortless. After just a few treatments, my lawn looks healthier, greener, and virtually weed-free. Every interaction with Ryan has been pleasant—he’s always prompt, courteous, and genuinely cares about customer satisfaction.

It’s rare to find someone who combines great customer service with real knowledge about lawn care, but Ryan does exactly that. I highly recommend Ryan and the Macario Brothers team to anyone looking for top-quality lawn care and excellent communication.

This company is fantastic! They are polite, knowledgeable and clean up after. They did weed control and fertilization. It was awesome to work with from the day the showed up for the last 2 years. They are very professional, they go above and beyond with their services and have a great attitude doing it. Definitely will be recommending this company to all of my family and friends!

He was respectful and let me know when he was starting the treatment a and gave me instructions at the end. Previous techs didn’t do that. I think this is something that they should be doing at least on the very first service to instruct the customer on wait time, watering, etc

Cadian just completed my lawn service today. He is such an asset to this company. When I renew my annual it will be because of him and his work ethic. Please acknowledge him with all opportunities to succeed with your company. Here in NW San Antonio. Five + stars.

Constant Solicitation.
We have a "No Soliciting" sign at our front door, yet we have received, and continue to receive ads from this company whenever they are flyer-ing up the neighborhood. Don't know where the ultimate blame lies: with Macario, as a company, or with a 3rd party door-to-door advertiser they use. Either way, it reflects on Macario. I don't want to interact with snippy vacuum salespeople, or aggressive pest control, or prolific lawncare company sales literature. It's all solicitation, and it's all unwelcome.

Received another MB ad jammed into our door this week, which brings the total up to six. Six since we put the "no soliciting" sign up, and since we started keeping the flyers in a "Do Not Do Business With These Companies. Ever." bucket.
MB has made itself a nuisance in our neighborhood, and I'm fed up enough to finally complain about your company on Google.

I love being on a bi-weekly schedule and not having to worry about my lawn getting out of control and not having anyone to mow it. Macario brothers for the win 🥇 Jake and Daryl did a great job on my lawn today! Thank you gentleman! 🙌🏼

We used Macario Brothers for our holiday lights last year, and honestly, we’re so glad we did! We were a little hesitant at first since we’ve always done it ourselves and didn’t think it was worth paying for—but it totally was! Just booked them again this year, and Ryan made everything super easy (again!). No stress, no hassle, and way more time to actually enjoy the holidays!

Ryan has been excellent with his communication, service, and understanding. Any questions, he answers them with thorough explanations when I need it. Our lawn is looking great already and they’ve only serviced us a few times to date. Very happy with our decision to go with this company - 5 stars all around.

I have used Macario Bros for my home lawn for a couple years now. They always do a wonderful job, they offer multiple services to make sure my lawn gets the care it needs! We recently had a small hiccup that was taken care of by RYAN. He was attentive, professional, helpful and resolved my issue with ease. DISRESPECTFUL EMPLOYEE'S!
You should have a talk with your employee who just put this on my door covering a religious cross. Every other house I see with this has it on the handle and he decides to put it on our hanger covering a cross., are you freaking kidding me? I drove the neighborhood looking to find him. Tell him he's lucky I did not!
A little training would go a long way. I've never done business with you, and thanks to this , I never will. You can be assured I'm going to share this with others. Totally disrespectful!!!!

As a homeowner here in San Antonio, I feel obligated to warn others about my experience with Macario Brothers Lawn Care.

I made the mistake of hiring this company, and I truly regret it.

First, they showed up before 8:00 AM in the winter to cut my lawn. Anyone familiar with lawn care in South Texas understands that winter mornings here often come with heavy dew. Cutting grass while it is still wet is basic lawn-care malpractice. Wet grass blades bend instead of standing upright, which leads to uneven cuts. Even worse, running heavy mowing equipment over dew-soaked turf compacts the soil and tears at the root system. In San Antonio, where many lawns (including mine) are Bermuda or St. Augustine, the grass is already under seasonal stress in winter dormancy. The combination of moisture, mower weight, and dormant turf caused visible damage to my lawn. You can literally see where the mower ripped through it instead of cleanly cutting it.

That alone was frustrating. But what happened in my backyard was far worse.

They cut down two live fruit trees that were still establishing. These were not tiny sprouts. They were clearly visible, intentionally planted trees with protective space around them. When I contacted the company, I was told “there were no trees.” As a man who personally cares for his property and planted those trees with my family, being told they didn’t exist was beyond insulting.

Those trees weren’t just landscaping. An older relative planted them before leaving, and they carried deep sentimental value for my kids and my entire family. You cannot replace that history. You cannot replant that memory. Watching my children realize those trees were gone because of someone’s carelessness was heartbreaking.

A professional lawn service should understand:
Not to mow wet grass, especially during winter dormancy.
How to identify and avoid established trees.
How to take responsibility when they make a serious mistake.

Instead, I experienced poor judgment, property damage, and complete denial of responsibility.

As a homeowner and as a man who takes pride in providing and caring for his home, I strongly advise others to think twice before hiring this company. I regret trusting them with my property.

The Macario brothers did an incredible job—my yard looks fantastic! Ryan was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. Highly recommend their professional and friendly service.

The area was spread evenly with the solution everywhere. There was no spot untouched. Still too early to see if the weed killer and fertilization is working. This is the 4th or 5th treatment but the dye that is incorporated into the solution makes it look good too. Andrew, the technician, makes sure my landscaping area is covered completely. Kudos to him and your company.

I am so glad I was able to find this company the prices are very reasonable and fair and his quality of work is so amazing he was able to get my yard just as I wanted and better his creativity is amazing and brings to life your ideas.I also had him make me a beautiful shelf and it is so beautiful yes they also specialize in making furniture as you would like .I recommend this company to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
