We had two trees removed and one tree trimmed. Justin and his crew did an awesome job, everyone knew what to do and did it. I had never seen a tree service function like this one. I know why they have a buff squirrel on their shirts. No bucket trucks they climb and cut limbs. The real test was the large oak tree shown in the pictures. It was extremely close to the house and utility lines. They were able to remove the branches and drop the tree with no problems. I know who I'm going to call if I need a tree service again plus they were substantially under the other bids.

They were very professional, timely and safe. They cleaned up afterwards better than it was when they arrived. They went the extra mile setting wood aside for me to split later. They even removed a few trees that I was supposed to do before they came, but due to family situations I was not able to do. I wouldn't call anyone else. Thank you Justin!

We contacted Justin and his team late one night about a tree that landed on our house after a wind storm. They showed up early the following morning and had all the necessary safety equipment and were extremely professional. Prior to the work starting, Justin met with me and went over the necessary documents and explained the process. They took great care to not damage anything throughout the process and were completely done and cleaned up within 3 hours. Excellent service and I would recommend them to anyone needing tree removal services.

This is Veteran owned business and it shows. I’ve gotten nothing, but respect from the owner and his crews. All of the 5 stars are real. I was skeptical at first, but when the business is this good I had to give it 5 stars too. I had a tree fall on my fence, and they were booked for about 2 days out. Then I got a call 30 minutes later saying they were wrapping up some booked appointments. They do indeed work quickly and efficiently. I had an issue with my gate not widening enough and they told me it’s fine they’ll find a way to work around it, which made me even more impressed about how quickly the job got done. I highly recommend this company for anyone who needs tree services.

There's a reason they have a 5 star review. Hard Knot Tree Service was so easy to work with. We had gotten a couple of quotes from other businesses, but right away when Justin came out he was matter of fact and gave a fair quote. The crew showed up and went to work immediately. They were so professional! We've had to take down trees in the past and had what we thought were ok experiences, but working with this crew we were thoroughly impressed. The crew put together the swing set that had to be disassembled for the job and cleaned up completely before they left. Our yard looks better than it did before they showed up. We don't have any other trees that would need work, but we'll be recommending Hard Knot Tree Service to everyone we know.

Justin and his crew are absolutely amazing. Safety is their #1 priority. They work hard to get the job done. They cut down 4 trees and cleaned out 3 trees. They did a fantastic job. We are lining up a second job for him, another 4 trees to go down. He walked our yard and told us the name of every tree in our yard and told us about each one of them. He even gave us advice on what trees to plant and what part of our yard to plant them. He is a young company, with his knowledge and professionalism his company will grow. Hard Knot Tree Service is run by Justin Julian with his wife, Jenna. I am 71 years old and I have never experienced a company operated as professionally and proficiently as this one. Believe me at 71 a person uses many contractors for different projects over the years. I lived in California 53 years. I hired a California arborist. California arborists do not work like Hard Knot Tree. Other Tennessee arborists do not work like Hard Knot Tree.
Justin and his crew work together as a team to get the job done and leave the project tidy. Justin and his men are respectful of the client and the client’s property. Justin will answer all your questions and assuage any doubts or concerns you have.
During the March storm in Clarksville, I had nine trees fall on a chain link fence and a 100+ foot oak split. One half fell on my fence and the other was trying to fall on my house! Justin worked quickly to get the leaning “death tree” down and saved my home and me. We had follow up wind and rain. The death tree was ready to crush anything in its’ way.
After the project was finished, most contractors forget you’re a customer. Hard Knot Tree Service does not forget. Justin and Jenna have worked diligently and patiently with me and my insurance company. I’ve been with my insurance company 43 years and they do not respect tenure in their clients. I have gotten nothing but arguments and denials from my insurance company. Justin has been amazingly understanding and continues to patiently wait for resolution.
As long as I live in Tennessee, I will never use another arborist for tree issues.
I need a fence repair company. Unfortunately Justin does not work on fences!😊

I contacted Justin for an estimate of two huge trees in my backyard. The trees were approximately 67 years old. Justin came out, gave me a reasonable estimate and started work the next week. One of the trees was about 65 feet tall. I was totally amazed how effortlessly, it seemed, for them to cautiously and precisely drop chunks of the tree, without damaging any of my property. Justin and his crew, took down both trees and cleaned up all debris, in one day! Very impressive work ethic! The crew from Hard Knots dropped 6 large trees on our property. They did it safely and precisely. Justin and his crew are extremely professional and great to work with. Today Hard Knot Tree service removed a tree from our property. The tree had become hazardous and needed to be removed immediately. I called and spoke with Jenna and she was truly kind and setup with a same day review of the tree. Justin came out and was the upmost professional and his tree knowledge was superior. You won’t find a better crew for tree removal! I have hired Justin and his team many times over the last 3 years. I will not hire anyone else. These guys are top notch. We purchased our home in Clarksville with a large, heavily wooded lot such that one third of it was unusable. He has worked with us over time to recommend which trees were hazardous and needed to go; which trees should be removed next round; and which were good to stay. He will not try to convince you to do any more then what you decide or ask him to do. He has always been considerate of our budget as well. The guys just finished another job Aug 16, 2023 (see photos). He will be back in the near future as we have identified the next tree that needs to come down. We now have a beautiful wooded backyard where we can enjoy the birds and wildlife or a nice fire in our fire pit. Thank you Justin and the Hard Knot team!

Justin and the team are awesome! As newer homeowners, we reached out for a consult knowing there was some work to do. Justin explained everything thoroughly and answered all of our questions. They worked with us for scheduling and then did an amazing job helping us fix our problems. I wish I had taken before and after photos because everything looks great! I cannot recommend this business enough.

Hard Knot came out and outdid themselves. Several neighbors were watching these men work their tails off, and they were courteous while doing it. They removed a huge Sweetgum tree and three other trees, topped a tree that was dying back from the leader but still offering a green buffer from the road, ripped out a wild stand of Devil’s Walking Sticks, hauled off a big brush pile, and ground some stumps. Justin even came over personally the evening before to make sure the ground was dry enough for their equipment. Finally, I had a small seating area under the big Sweetgum, and they moved the pavers for me. They put them all back before they left and cleaned everything up. My neighbors and I give them ten stars, but the app allows only five. If you need an ISA certified arborist to take a look at any of your trees, you should call Justin at Hard Knot. He goes above and beyond for his customers.

Jimmy has fair pricing and his crew works in a professional and workmanlike manner. They did a great job removing a large tree and made sure that everything was cleaned up. Very respectful crew and owner. I highly recommend.

Premier Tree Service was able to get me a same-day estimate and then return the next morning to take care of a significant fallen branch in my yard. They were easy to communicate with, responded quickly, and did the work for a very reasonable price. I will absolutely use them again.

Seriously, they're the best! Such an amazing job, they came last minute literally less than 24 hours after needing them to remove my tree that was breaking next to my house. Didn't charge me an arm or a leg. Super professional and friendly the entire time. They came early and were out fast. This was a BIG tree. They didn't leave any damage and were super careful which I appreciate since my 1 year old was playing next to the window where the tree was. They cleaned up the yard when they were done. But the one thing I appreciated most is that Jimmy was honest with us the entire time and gave us his advice and suggestions when we were unsure of what to do , but left the decision of what to do completely up to us.
