Derek Poquette and his team at this company are the best contractors I have dealt with in Vermont. Responsive, thoughtful, friendly, follows through and everything works perfectly . They did a first class job. I highly recommend.

Climate Systems is wonderful! They came out to fix our heat during the coldest week of the year. Their techs were polite, professional and on time. I recommend them for all your HVAC needs.

They provided excellent service. The guys were great and knowledgable and answered any questions we had. 2 days to install. And Derek was great who came and gave us the estimate. Right on the money and anytime I called he had the answers and got back to me in a timely manner. We highly recommend them for your HVAC service.

Jay Mechanical are brilliant and I would HIGHLY recommend them. I have called them 3 times this year and received very timely responses to heating /AC issues...Tom is a fantastic technician and Jean was awesome...TY VERY much.

Got a new furnace and AC from them recently. Great communication, fast scheduling and installation, and a very good price with a 10 year warranty. Honestly don't know what more you could ask for.

Angus and Ian were great! They were knowledgeable and professional. They arrived early and left the space better than when they found it! My new hot water heater works great!

Jay Mechanical recently completed some plumbing work in our shop. Communication was clear and fast, everyone was great to work with, they were able to schedule us quickly and accommodate our needs, and the work was completed on schedule. I highly recommend these folks!

We have needed a lot of work in our 1870 home. The team at Jay Mechanical have been incredibly thorough in addition to being kind. They have attended to both emergency situations as well as large scale jobs (removing and then reinstalling 11 cast iron radiators, and installing a brand new boiler, as a few examples). I specifically want to mention that we had brand new hardwood floors installed, and Ian and Cain did not get a single scratch on the floors while moving and reinstalling the eleven 200+ pound radiators. I was truly amazed at their fastidiousness.

TLDR: Outright rude customer service, poor/non-existent follow up, unreliable, etc.

I really didn't want to do this but felt offended enough and I did want to try to save others from the same experience so here it is.

We scheduled an inspection with Jean (who is mentioned numerous times if you sort the reviews by "Lowest") and all was well. I was very happy to get this off my plate and audibly grateful to her when we scheduled.

Inspection day came (and went) with no appearance from anyone at the company. Nor did anyone follow up with us to tell us why. When we asked, we were told that they were overbooked and weren't able to make it out. Fine, no problem. She rescheduled our appointment (in writing) to the following day, first thing in the morning. Again no one showed up and again no one followed up as to why. When we asked, Jean told us, snappishly, that she "never received confirmation" and so had removed the appointment from the schedule.

We showed Jean the email we received confirming the appointment and received another email from her - this time even more dismissive and frankly, flat out rude. She purported that she had asked for confirmation but that we didn't confirm. This despite our having received a very clear confirmation of the appointment, in writing (see photo.) The confirmation she asked for was written in the form of a statement but ended with a question mark. The email closing "best" was also not capitalized nor was her own name.

We wrote the question mark as a typo (like not capitalizing a closing or one's own name) but apparently the single question mark was enough of a monkey wrench to throw the whole thing out the window. She wrote that she'd "removed it this morning when I still hadn't received an answer to my question." There was no email telling us that either.

Long story short, very unsavory experience with Jean, who is also apparently part owner of the business. This is a common theme from everything I've read and has no place in business interactions/customer service imho.

We’ve worked with Jay’s Mechanical for several years now, and they have been outstanding every single time. Over the years they’ve installed a full central air system, added three heat pumps, repaired a broken sewer pipe, and helped us with various HVAC needs along the way.

What really sets them apart is their responsiveness and care. Just this morning, when our boiler wasn’t working on one of the coldest days of the year, I called Jean and they were at our house within 20 minutes. That kind of service is rare.

They’re knowledgeable, honest, incredibly responsive, and genuinely nice people to work with. You can tell they care about doing things the right way and taking care of their customers. I highly recommend Jay’s Mechanical without hesitation.

Outstanding service and care. I had a sewage emergency and I truly could not have gotten through it without the team at Jay Mechanical. From the office staff to the technicians and crew, everyone treated me with care and respect during a very difficult event. They were responsive, skilled, and the prices were more than fair. Highly recommend for any work you need done.

Alex is very professional and does a very clean and efficient job. Foggs heating is one of the most honest and trustworthy businesses I know.

Alex saved me not once but twice with my hot water heater. The second time I had no hot water, and my take was leaking when I left for work, by the time I got home he had the old one out the new one in and I had hot water, it was amazing how fast he got it all done, being a emergency call first thing in the morning and with 3 children and a husband who was in treatment for cancer at the time I was very worried it would be a day or two,,, but nope he had it all done in a day. He was very professional gave me what my choices were and we decided on a plan, I would recommend Alax any day
