Damian came over to check out my coal-burning fireplace, which was built a long time ago and is pretty small. He was very professional, friendly, and really knew his stuff. Damian took the time to carefully take out one of the side bricks so he could see what was inside the wall—like loose fill, mortar, or other bricks. He wanted to find out if it was possible to rebrick the inside using thinner firebricks, which would make the opening a bit wider for a fireplace insert. Damian explained all my options clearly, and I felt comfortable with his advice. The quote he gave me was fair and reasonable.
