Selvin's installed a paver driveway, concrete apron, and drywell (with drainage system) for our house in late 2021.

Dealing with Selvin's was a pleasurable experience. They were polite, hardworking, professional and did excellent work!

They always kept me updated with the work progress, planned next steps and did an excellent clean-up at the end of each day.

I contacted Selvin in March for a complete deck tear off and redesign. The project started as soon as the weather permited. There was one small hiccup and Selvin corrected it immediately. He did what he said her would do, the deck came out better than expected! The quality of work was clearly seen and the men were considerate and cleaned up everyday when they left. Selvins pricing was absolutely competitive and he stayed true to his word...no surprises. I would use them again! You won't be disappointed.

I've known Selvin's company for more than 9 years as of Oct 2025. He and his hard working crew have done an excellent job with snow removal, lawn mowing, landscaping and helping set up and maintaining our garden. Selvin and his team are very communicative. They work with me every step of the way on the all our outdoor projects, including backyard design and renovation.

After using Selvin’s for years for snow removal, this year I had them rebuild my garden area. They did a thorough cleanup, built all new raised beds and filled them with quality top soil. The crew was kind and did a great job cleaning up. Highly recommend and I can’t wait for planting season.

Selvin’s had the best price. Our retaining wall repair project took two days to complete with a three man crew. The team that worked on our project was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. When the project was completed, they made sure the yard was cleaned up and tidy before they left!

Pretty happy with the work that was done. The new fire pit looks great. Selvin Jr was very professional through out the process. However, there were some coordination/schedule issues and I had to spray the area of work down with weed killer myself because they were growing through the mulch a week after the project was completed. But seriously, the fire pit looks great!

We initially had a positive experience with Selvin Landscaping during our first conversation to get an estimate. However, after the site visit, communication quickly became an issue. Response times were poor, and there were delays in providing the estimate, despite initial commitments. Additionally, there was overlap and confusion regarding the project design, which made the process frustrating.

What was supposed to be a straightforward virtual design appointment became unnecessarily complex, and the project was eventually passed along with multiple reasons why expectations couldn’t be met. This did not inspire confidence in their ability to handle a large-scale project. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing, and we’ve since explored other landscaping companies.

We had a great experience with this company. They installed a 400+ square-foot patio plus a walkway after removing a huge tree stump and small trees. It was terrific work. Their workers were considerate. Competitive pricing.

I highly recommend Selvin and his crew. We decided to get our fence with his company and it was such an amazing experience. Selvin’s Landscaping provided us with an exceptional service experience and delivered a masterpiece of an outdoor living area. Our project involved a complete redesign and build of landscaping and hardscape construction in our front and back yard: driveway, sidewalk, walkway, stairs, patio, outdoor kitchen and fireplace, retaining walls, pergolas, lighting, fence, plants and sod, as well as other seemingly unrelated tasks such as major tuckpointing of existing masonry, for example. Our project started with a very thorough consultation and a detailed budget. This was a refreshing change from our "consultations" with other well-known firms.
Selvin addressed all questions and concerns in a promptly and friendly manner. He went through the entire permitting process with the City of Elmhurst (which is very rigorous), and all inspections passed without issues. The inspectors commented on the high quality of workmanship to us on more than one occasion. Selvin and Roger came up with amazing suggestions and solutions to make our project an absolute success. Selvin’s team uncovered some issues caused by our homebuilder (water drainage from downspouts for example). Selvin brought them to our attention and promptly addressed. Selvin’s team was professional, flexible and attentive to detail. They were very respectful, trustworthy and easy to work with. Selvin and his team made sure to provide us with an excellent customer experience and a beautiful, high-quality final product. They truly cared about us as their customers and made sure that we were completely satisfied. I could come up with numerous examples of Selvin’s above and beyond customer service but one that stuck in my mind was when he stained about 10 samples of cedar wood in different shades of brown to make sure my vision for the fence and pergola became reality.
We could not be happier with the finished product. We wholeheartedly recommend Selvin’s Landscaping for their amazing, honest work and value. They built our dream outdoor living space and we will forever be grateful for all their work. We are Selvin’s customers for life!
