Constraction reviews in Aurora, Illinois

If you are looking for a professional crew who does excellent work Colibri Construction is the company for you. They did a wonderful job remodeling our kitchen and cleaned up after. Their pricing & style recommendations are above and beyond what I expected and I will hire them on my next home renovation.

Working with Cesar and his crew was a wonderful experience. The expertise and care they showed during the master bath remodel was painless and the finished remodel was great. Our expectations were greatly exceeded.

Cesar and his team did an exceptional job on our deck. They stripped the old paint, repainted the pergola and railings, and stained the flooring. They were professional, thorough, and nice to work with. I highly recommend them. Everyone who has seen our deck is very impressed with the work they did.

The team at Colibri Construction did an excellent job in a timely, organized and professional manner. We worked with them to add a railing to our stone stairs. They did beautiful work and I highly recommend them.

My wife and I hired Cesar and his crew to install a railing for a unique stair we have in our backyard. He worked with us to select the right system and promptly installed it. We're very happy with the end result and couldn't recommend his company enough.

Even though this company seems to have lots of positive reviews, I would not even consider hiring them based on the fact that I have seen the way they disrespect the disabled community by blocking the handicapped spots with their vehicles more than once.

Colibri is exactly what I was looking for in a contractor. Cesar and team were awesome installing my marble floors & backsplash. They, without a doubt, performed everything to my expectations from pricing, scheduling and finished results. I will continue to use them on other planned projects. Thanks Cesar and team.

Colibri did a fantastic job from start to finish! We hired Cesar to finish two attic spaces and appreciated his confidence to make our ideas a reality…and at a good price! I was impressed with his various teams - you can tell he has worked hard to create a quality team to handle all aspects of the project. Overall, we are incredibly happy with how the project turned out and Colibri made the process easy!

We had an excellent job done by Colibri Construction to fix the trim around our house. When they started taking the trim down, they realized all the wood underneath was rotted and they knew exactly what to do to fix it and get our home up and running again. They are very thorough, very polite, and leave the worksite very clean. I would highly recommend them for any of your remodel projects.

Colibri construction was very helpful with my project over the summer. I recently purchased a home that needed carpet removed and flooring installed as the previous owners had pets in the basement area. They stayed extra hours and finished my job within a single day! I will be using Cesar and his team again in the future.

We contracted with Colibri Construction to do a simple install of a ceramic floor to update our kitchen, and were so impressed with the quality and professionalism of Cesar and his crew, that the list of 'chores' grew: Foyer floors removed and re-tiled, crown-molding installed on kitchen cabinets, ledger-stone refacing to our master suite fireplace, new windows installed to replace damaged ones (neighbor kid with BB gun), travertine back-splash replacement in kitchen, as well as on the island face. Colibri's pricing was extremely fair and competitive and Cesar was even able to highly recommend a carpet-installer who we also hired to replace the whole-house carpeting. The crew of Colibri Construction was very professional, personable and took great pains to protect all walls and surfaces during their work. When encountering questions, they were quick to come up with good suggestions, and never complained when our 'laundry-list' of jobs kept growing and throwing off their projected schedule. Once our custom hearth-stone arrived, Cesar even returned to install it for us. They even came back for 'emergency repairs and rebuild' to our deck when we were in the middle of selling the home! With a single phone call, they came out the next day and got right on the job so we could close on time! We highly recommend Colibri Construction for most every construction or renovation job you may have. As a 'happy homeowner', I know how tough it is to decide on a contractor, but you will be happy you chose Colibri for your interior or exterior work!

I always get nervous about a new contracter. But wow was I impressed with their level of work efficiency and just all around such a great group of workers. I brought them in to work on a project on the front of my house we ended up needing a whole master shower repair instead. They quickly changed gears to help us out. They fixed leaking pipes, they gutted our shower and helped us make a beautiful new one. They really did an amazing job and they were a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be using them again!!

Colibri renovated 2 bathrooms for me and I'm very happy with how they came out. Cesar is quick to respond, has very fair prices and checked in all along the way to ensure everything is going well.

Cesar and his crew were amazing. He did my master bathroom remodel. It is so beautiful and I would never had imaged it to be able to look that great. He was so professional and had a ton of fantastic ideas for the space. We basically gutted the whole bathroom and moved the toilet to make it a much more useful bathroom. He really listened to me and came up w a design that idea as WAY BETTER than the 2 other companies I had give me a quote. His crew was great. They were polite and very neat. They worked very long hours and even Saturday. 90% of the project is as done amazing in 10 days!! Just had to wait for barn door and custom glass doors, which are just fabulous ( he has a company for those too). Overall I can not find 1 negative thing to say and I will be using him for my kitchen remodel and anything else I ever have to have done.

I reached out to Colibri on the recommendation from a friend. The steps on my back patio were sinking in. They removed the bricks, rebuilt the foundation, and replaced the bricks along with the drain for the downspout. I also went with their recommendation of adding paver lights with a transformer that has light sensor and timer. It was a really great touch. I appreciated their quality work AND excellent communication. They quoted me a fair price and delivered. Hence, I ended up deciding to have them repair the patio at my other property and build a fireplace. Wow! The pics don’t even do it justice!

Colibri was outstanding to work with from start to finish. From the design to the execution to the budget, everything was far better than we could have imagined. They finished our walk in attic from scratch and installed a fabulous window. Now this space is a kids playroom and we love it!

Every person we dealt with at Colibri went above and beyond to make not only the end result a success, but to make the process as smooth and painless as possible. The communication with Cesar was excellent, the craftsmanship was excellent, the support we received throughout the process was excellent. They kept on schedule and within budget, with no surprises. They took extra care to clean up every day after they were finished.

Huge thanks to the whole crew that worked so hard to make our dream attic space.

Cesar is great to work with on home remodeling. Craftsmanship from his team is excellent. His team is trustworthy and respectful. I will have them back to do more work on my home.

Colibri Construction did a fantastic job disassembling and then reassembling my vintage curved handrailing when I had new flooring and stair treads installed. Other contractors wanted to rip it out and sell me a new system but Cesar and the crew understood that I was trying to maintain the classic look. Two thumbs up- I would highly recommend them. They did great work and we will definately work with them again!

Cesar and team are top quality. We can’t possibly say enough positive things about the quality of their work and their craftsmanship. They removed and replaced our countertops and backsplash. The end result is absolutely perfect and we are so pleased with the end result! They are also very kind, courteous, respectful and timely. We highly recommend them for your home renovation or construction needs!
