The technician arrived at the appointment time, introduced himself, and asked me to describe in detail the problem I was having. He promptly serviced my grease interceptor and drain, and cleaned the area when the work was completed. I appreciate professionalism, and that is the service I received. Great job!

I have a rental property in Joliet. We had very old cast iron drain plumbing that had developed a crack and all of it needed to be replaced. I do not live in the state so I was trying to coordinate the consultation and repairs with this company and the tenant. Joe was the office administrator that I was working with. He did a fantastic job getting the consultation set up with my tenant and was really concerned with getting me all the necessary information to get started. He also had my schedule in mind and asked how I preferred to be contacted (via phone or e-mail) so as not to disrupt my schedule too much.

Brian was the tech that came out to examine the plumbing and was able to send me pictures and videos of what all the problems were with the drain plumbing. I spoke with him on the phone and, since I was going to be at the rental the following week, set up a time for him to show me in person what he suggested to be done. I agreed on the work and he was back later in the week to complete the job. The work took exactly the amount of time quoted and there were no surprises. He even helped diagnose a problem with my well system and installed a new pressure switch I had acquired at no extra charge. Brian has a great attitude and it was a pleasure to have him around the house for the time of the repair.

This company by far surpassed my expectations and I would absolutely have future work performed by them and recommend them to anyone I know. They took the time to clearly explain everything to me and were very understanding of the fact that I was not at the property through most of this. Great job!

I used them to inspect my sewer system. Very responsive in a short time frame and worked with our schedule. The technician was prompt, polite, and educational about our situation. Vicky, who scheduled the appointments, seemed to really care about my issues and worked to make sure I had what I needed.

I reached out to Do Right Rooter after being badly taken advantage of. I was upset, overwhelmed and didn’t know what to expect. The owners came out immediately to assess the situation and assured me that they would stand beside and support me through my dilemma. It was a huge dilemma and continued to be a challenge until today. Today we were finally prepared for and passed inspection. I can’t thank the owners (Dave & John), everyone from the office (especially Joe, Crystal, Vicki) and ALL of the technicians who were on the job site and worked diligently to right a wrong not of their own making. Throughout the project they were thoughtful, patient, considerate, dedicated and determined to make this right. I only wish I would have them first. I highly recommend if you need plumping or sewer pipe services to call Do Right Rooter.

My technician juan was great he came and got the job done right with installing a gate valve
(backwater valve ) well replaced an old cast iron one that was probably older than I am I would definitely use do right again and they saved me a ton of money

Called and they sent a plumber that I felt did not do the job correctly. I called and told them, and they had another plumber out within 30 min. Terry( the second guy)is the best plumber I have ever had, and they had him finish what needed to be done and more for no charge. They were trustworthy and honest, two qualities that are hard to find now. They did right by me, and I will call them first now, and I would highly recommend to my family.

They completed the job to my satisfaction.However went Mr.Dave came by for the last payment. He want his guys to come back and check the flow of the water again. Excellent job *****Do Right,Got it right.

After the below experience I continued to have trouble with the drain. I called Do Right again and specifically requested Juan, who I had worked with before with good results. He came out and took several steps before snaking the drain to determine the issue. He found a problem with our sump pump that will require an electrician. I am very happy with that second experience. I'm not sure what the first technician was doing, but it couldn't have been farther from the professionalism and knowledge that Juan displayed. I would refer Juan and his partner anytime, but not the other guys who showed up on day 1.

Showed up late with the wrong equipment. Left, came back 1.5 hours later. Sprayed water all over the floor, and then nearly forgot to turn the line back on and would have left if I hadn't pointed it out. I've used Do Right Rooter in the past with good results, but today 2 guys from a company called "Hydrogenie" showed up. I had never heard of the company. Ended up being close to $400, which was surprising given that it only took 5 minutes tops once they actually got the right equipment. Seems like a company to avoid.

Juan Rivera is an outstanding employee. He was patient, and he is a very competent plumber. I will definitely use him again if I need a plumber.

My basement flooded due to a bad sump pump and I wanted to ensure that did not happen again. I started looking for estimates for total cost of a specific combo pump with battery back-up (installation, labor, parts). A few companies returned quotes around the same amount when I was contacted by Do Right. The technician I spoke to said he needed to come out before he could quote a price. When he arrived, I once again informed him of what I was looking for, the exact model number and that I was looking to have this work completed within the next few days. I told him I had quotes already in, and he said he was confident he would be comparable to the quotes I had already received (3 at this point). Before writing his proposal, he asked me what quotes I had been getting. When I told him, he came back with a quote that was roughly $175 less than the highest quote I received. While not a huge difference, to me the small amount was money I would be able to use towards the expense of rebuilding my basement, so I was willing to sign with this company. Then he told me that his office will be in touch and that all he needed today was $75 for the service fee to come out. I was taken aback, I did not have the cash on me, and was surprised by the fee. He stated that it would be deducted from the final price if I was to go with his estimate. I ended up sending a payment, but that was after he called me half a dozen times and left 2 – 3 text messages. When I called to pay the deposit, I spoke to the office, and we once again discussed the exact model I requested, and she wrote up an invoice with the model and I paid half the deposit. Now, the day of the installation, another technician comes out and is an hour and a half late. I ask him not to start work until I have had a chance to review the installation order and parts that were to be installed. Because he was late, and I was finishing up a work call, I asked him to wait 10 minutes. 10 minutes later, I go to the basement and he had already started the work, had removed my old pump and was about to install the new pump. Water was everywhere and when I looked at the pump and realized it was not the one I ordered, I told him it was not what I ordered and asked him why he started the work, when I specifically asked him not to until I had a chance to look at the install orders. He said, “why wouldn’t you want a bigger pump.” I immediately called the office to figure out what happened and in the interim, asked the guy if he was planning on cleaning up the mess as the water was now flowing to the other room that I had just spent 3 days drying out. He said he might have rags, but if I had towels, he would clean it up. I ran and got towels, and he did start to wipe up the mess, but did a poor job before collecting his stuff to talk to the office who had now called him asking what the issue was. He then informs me that he had the wrong orders, did not have the order for the pump I had requested and was surprised at the price they quoted. After more round about calls with the office staff & the technician who originally came out, I received a call in the evening to inform me that if I wanted the pump I had originally requested, it would cost me another $500, (which is now well over any of the original estimates I had received), because the estimate had a different system listed, even though the invoice I paid had the model I had requested. On the estimate, I was under the impression it was the name of the battery and the technician was being thorough (as he said batteries are sold separate) so if I needed to replace the battery I would know what brand as the other part of the estimate included the brand of pump we had talked about. I cancelled my order (still waiting on the refund) but am out this $75 that was completely unnecessary and honestly, I think a scam. None of the other companies charged to come out and do an estimate. The whole experience left me with a bad impression on how they do business and I personally would not recommend this company.

I’m am very pleased with the results. The plumber Did It Right! Kudos to Do Right Rooter because they definitely got the job done right. I am definitely a satisfied customer.

Stay away! Scheduled a sewage scope with Do Right Rooter for a house that we made an offer on. Do Right Rooter agreed to scope the sewage line from roof access for $375 or $425 with video. During the sewage scope, the technician explained they were unable to access the main sewer line from the house because he ran into a wye pipe that was disconnected. After scope, I received the video of the scope on a flash drive and could not believe the terrible quality. The video has no audio, time stamps/reports of where they found roots/issues, and was in black and white. I called them after seeing the video and the admin explained the tech must have "used their own camera" and would follow-up with the tech to give me a report. I received a "report" via email, which is completely different from what the tech told me at the time of the scope. I provided their video to another plumber for a second opinion, and they could not see any disconnected pipes and told me that they were not able to get their camera to the main sewage line.

They did not reply to me after I explained being dissatisfied. The report was not accurate or match up with what the tech told me, and they did not complete the job we requested. I would not trust this company and look elsewhere.

The team came out properly to give me a free estimate. They returned to do the work two-days later. during the estimate the team said said it would take a couple of hours to completed. The gentleman finished in about 45 minutes. Since this was plugging a drain hole in my basement, I won’t know if it works until we have water issue. So I’m hoping I never find out if it’s working or not. We don’t want any water issues.

Excellent experience with them! I highly recommend them. It literally took only one week for them to come out, give me an estimate, and complete the installation. Everyone was very professional, knowledgeable, and patient with all of my questions. Greets company!

Do Right, overall, did a good job in completing the project for my house. They initially came out and rodded my basement pipes. When I let them know that I still had water coming in through the drainage system, they came back out and replaced the pipes for me. They also gave me a 5 year warranty on all of their completed work. I recommend using them for any work you need done for your house.

I had them do a difficult job on an old building. There were a lot of unknown traps that presented themselves as the job unfolded. Vince and his crew did a very good job at handling all the obstacles. They added a lot of value to the building and I am glad that I chose them. Highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.
