Walked in, said my story and immediately knew the part I was looking for. In and out in less than 10min. Price was fair and reasonable. Planning on bringing my 60yr plus crystal chandelier frame to be rewired. Always know what you need, and has the parts needed!!

Gem Electric in Broadview, IL, exceeded all my expectations. Both Jeffs, father and son, were not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable. They were able to repair two vintage lamps that another place couldn't fix.

Aside from their repair expertise, Gem Electric offers a variety of light bulbs, fixtures, lamps, and other intriguing items. Their prices are very reasonable, considering the quality of service provided.

They are open until noon on Saturdays, and there is free street parking out front.

Went there to ask a simple question about installing a switch/outlet I was having trouble with. Although I didn’t get his name I assume he was the owner or boss. He really went out of his way to explain what I needed to do and showed me how. Great customer service. Will definitely be back.

Avoid this company at all costs. They'll take advantage of you with inflated prices for basic tasks and lie about the time it takes to complete them. Don't bother hiring them unless you want to be ripped off. I recently used their services and got charged $1500 for a job that should have cost only $300. If you value your money, keep looking elsewhere.

The driver's aggressive behavior is concerning. On February 6th at around 2 pm, a crew member was speeding and changing lanes quickly on 80/94 highway, approaching speeds of 80-90 mph. The risk of collision was high if you hadn't moved out of the way. It's puzzling that someone would drive so recklessly, putting others' lives at risk.

This vehicle's driver failed to yield, kicking up rocks that shattered my windshield on the 390 Elgin O'Hare Expressway. I attempted to get them to stop, but they refused. The company couldn't be reached for assistance and was unhelpful when I called. Disappointing experience, especially since the company won't take responsibility. It's not surprising, given another similar complaint from two years ago - another incident involving a driver who wouldn't stop.
