I am writing this review to express my utmost satisfaction with Klasik Construction. I hired them for a large-scale residential project - the construction of our dream home, and they exceeded my expectations in every aspect.

From the initial planning stage through to the project's completion, the team demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and dedication. The project manager was exceptionally communicative, always keeping us in the loop about the progress and addressing any concerns promptly. Their transparency and honesty in dealing with the financial aspects of the project were also greatly appreciated.

The quality of their work is impeccable. The attention to detail is evident in every room of our new house. It's clear that the team at Klasik Construction takes great pride in their work, and it shows. They worked tirelessly to ensure that the finished product matched our vision and adhered to the highest standards.

Additionally, I was highly impressed by their respect for deadlines. Despite a few unexpected issues along the way (as any large project is likely to encounter), the team managed to complete the project on time without compromising on the quality of their work.

Austin did a fantastic job on our bathroom remodel.

Austin was great, would definitely recommend! Installed a medicine cabinet, drywall patching after electiricians, and helped fix a sticky door. Put in extra time to ensure the work was done right. 🙌🏻

Austin built a new rod iron and wood gate to alley. The gate fell over less than a 1 year afterwards, he did come out and fix it and it fell over again 2 weeks later. After that he stopped. taking our calls. Eventually he finally answered and was rude and refused to do anything about it. Had to pay another contractor $600 dollars to fix his horrible job. Do not use this company.

When we hired Austin and Brothers construction company, we felt they were skilled, and capable of handling our project despite being a fairly new construction company. Unfortunately there were plenty of issues we had to deal with. The biggest issue was time/employee management followed by craftsmanship.

We were assured the job would be done in a week, And by all means was completely feasible, If the 2 man crew remained a 2 man crew. The 2 guys would show up everyday (usually late), but after about 30 minutes the one employee would disappear, and only show up at the end of the day to provide transportation to the 2nd Non-English speaking employee.

This one week job turned into 2+ weeks. Which could of been avoided had the 2 guys been there everyday. Austin did not do a good job of managing his team. Instead of checking in, and overseeing the work, we had to constantly update him with our issues and concerns which never should of occurred in the first place had Austin been on site overseeing the project.

After inspecting their work we found that the plumbing leaked, and was repaired by glopping blue sealant over the area that was leaking. This blue sealant was spilled all over our brand new HVAC. They eventually corrected the leak, only after we pointed out the leak. We scraped and picked all the glue off the HVAC unit ourselves.

When they re-installed our vanity, they did NOT secure it to the wall, and the J trap on the new sink was installed too low, not allowing the bottom drawer in the vanity to open. We ALSO addressed and repaired these issues ourselves. Very amateur mistakes.

We had them install a new exhaust fan, but while sanding the drywall in the bathroom, they left the new fan on drawing all the fresh drywall mud dust into the squirrel cage. Due to the caked on dust, it became off balanced causing noise. We asked them to clean it but had to remove the fan and vacuum all the dust out of it OURSELVES.

This may seem nit picky but the attention to detail was lacking when putting the bathroom back together. For example when re-installing the toilet, the caps that go over the hardware went missing, and were not addressed until WE pointed it out. The work performed does not reflect the amount of money we spent on this project.

When the tile went up the installer did NOT use tile spacers, like a previous contractor had done for our other bathroom. We were informed that it was normal procedure for the subway tile we picked out and had them install. We are learning this is not true. Austin even mentioned that he would give us a 10 year warranty (this being verbal and nothing on paper) for any of the grout coming undone or repairs needed, as a reassurance that the lack of tile spacers was a common practice.

Six months later, every time we clean the shower tile some of the grout is coming off, there are chunks missing, and some areas we found in/around the shower threshold that have no grout installed to begin with! We also found tons of mold growing in/behind the caulk which is indicating it was incorrectly applied and water is getting in behind it, the floor grout is also starting to discolor even though they said they applied sealant to it 5 times.

We reached out Austin and team to correct these issues. We have yet to hear back.

When the job was done we had to explain to Austin our frustration and dissatisfaction with the whole process. We requested some money to be taken off the remaining balance which was eventually agreed to, but only because it was requested and not offered. We also mentioned to Austin we would give him the benefit of NOT leaving a review. He apologized and said they would make things right, and if anything was to arise following the repairs they would resolve the issues.

We are NOW leaving this feedback and review because of not answering our emails or texts. We now have to pay an additional company to repair the missing grout, clean the existing grout, remove the moldy caulk and re apply correctly.

I don’t typically review companies I don’t hire. Had to make an exception here. Came out for an estimate. Took weeks to actually send it. After about 10 days he wrote and promised to send it that day. Got it a week after that. How can you hire someone that unreliable? In the meantime I discovered some terrible reviews about ghosting customers w issues after payment. When I called him out on the timeframe (2 1/2 weeks) saying I was going with someone else, he said he was glad cause I’d obviously be a headache to work with. Flat out rude. And now he has this because of it. 2 stars just for showing up.

Had a great experience working with Brothers on our bathroom renovation. They were able to be creative and flexible when working with such an oddly shaped space in an older building; by doing so, I didn't have to compromise on too much, which felt like a big win.
Since we weren't home during the reno, they were highly communicative, sharing updates and photos often, and approaching each day with essentially a Kanban style message (what was completed, what is in progress, what needs to be done). They're even coming back after the work is completed to touch some things up.

We intend to continue working with Brothers General Construction for all of our future projects (including a kitchen reno, new flooring throughout our unit, etc.)

I strongly recommend Chicago General Contractor to anyone seeking home remodeling, renovations, or similar construction.

They left the place clean at all times. Would definitely hire them again for any project.

They are professional and courteous in everything they do. Our project was completed on time and on the budget which is even more amazing to do during these times.

Their work was high quality, reasonable in cost, and professional. If there were any aspects that were not to our satisfaction they were taken care of without question.

The work came out terrific and all the workers were willing to answer any questions I had. Exceptional work and quality customer service. Would definitely use them again.

Everyone was extremely helpful and every detail was explained to me during the build. The quality of construction is second to none and all of the suppliers that the company uses are high-quality products as well.
