Budget Construction Company is Wonderful and efficient! From the first consultation to the final installation. The receptionist and designers got my kitchen exactly the way i wanted to. They had so many different materials to choose from so i got everything exactly the way i wanted at the price i wanted. For any kitchen or any construction project for that matter, in the future, go with Budget Construction Company they went the extra mile for me.

After slow start, once they began to remodel my kitchen. The workers was very professional and considerate. Once the job was done i was very happy

I'm quite surprised by these negative reviews, my experience with Budget Construction was nothing but positive. Chris oversaw my project through to completion, and every time I had a problem or a question that he didn't know the answer to (which was rare), he had his boss, Don Schneider, the owner and proprietor of Budget call me directly to sort out my concerns.

As far as organization and timeliness goes, these guys were so cooperative. For example, when I found out that my custom kitchen cabinets were going to take 10 weeks to ship instead of 6 weeks, Chris was able to work on another project and then come back to install mine the day after the cabinets arrived. Another example of how on top of it these guys are was I have some very unique Art Deco crown moldings and baseboards that had started to crack - Chris and his team (Mirro) sub contracted another company who specializes in Crown Moldings to replicate the ones I had out of their own pocket because they insisted on every last detail being perfect.

Overall, they did such a good job with my renovation that someone made an offer to purchase my apartment before the final touches of the renovation were complete. I'd gladly use Budget for future projects and highly recommend them to others.

These guys are the best! Timely, professional, thorough...! what EVERY service company should be like! They installed a few Trex decks on my house. I NEVER have to stain my deck again! From the time i set up my appointment to the time the job was finished, Budget Construction did a great job from beginning to end. I highly recommend Budget Construction!

I worked with Paul to get his old bathroom remodeled, and he insisted on Budget Construction. From our initial contact with Michael, who worked out the details, to the finishing touches of cleaning and polishing our new Medicine cabinet by the team, it was a professional and quality experience. Derrick and Andy did most of the construction, while Robert expertly cut & laid the floor & wall tile. We were thrilled that our vanity choice and other suggestions were used in the process of the reconstruction. Using quality paint and fixtures, they brought it all together wonderfully. All of the people that worked with us were friendly and considerate, which made a stressful situation go as smooth as possible. Thank you Budget Construction!

I love, love, love my new kitchen and family room. The work was completed in the time promised. Michael is great at customer service. Budget Construction. I need my basement restored from wall to wall and top to bottom. We are retired senior citizen. There are so many companies that are not reputable. However, we found Budget Construction. If you need work done to your home Call BUDGET. They have a wonderful staff of qualified and professional workers. The staff is very respectful. They came out to our home assessed the work to be done , brought in a crew of workers and before we knew it the work was done to perfection.. I was glad to know that they are backed by the BBB. I highly recommend Budget Construction. Great Job.

I had a very positive experience with Budget Construction. They transformed my dark musty basement and bathroom into a beautiful ideal living space. Don and Chris kept me below budget without compromising materials, or workmanship. The whole process from beginning to end took approximately four weeks. We had a home improvement project that has been on our to do list for several years now, but were hesitant about the cost involved. We had received quotes in the past, but they were very high in price. About 3 months ago, we decided to try again with this company. We were pleasantly surprised with how reasonable the cost was. We also felt very comfortable with the representative. The work went very smoothly, to say the least. They arrive on time, cleaned up well each day so it was liveable, and the quality was excellent. If you are looking for a very dependable Chicago remodeling contractor that provides outstanding service, look no further.

I found myself greatly in need of roofing repairs and was referred by my neighbor to Budget Construction. The sales agent was very prompt in calling to set up and appointment to come out. He arrived when he said he would and was willing to work with my son on the details of the pricing. The team performed a quality job and I am very pleased with every aspect of the installation process.

My suggested area of improvement would be better communication of start date so I could have planned accordingly. I had to reach out a few times to follow up on when the work would begin.

However, once it began, it was done quickly and efficiently and to my complete satisfaction. I would definitely refer Budget Construction Co. to my friends and family.

So, I bought all my materials for a lighting remodeling project from a third party and contacted Don at Budget Construction to have his crew install the products Upon looking at my materials, they let me know all the things that would and would not work. They gave me suggestions on what i needed to get make this project work out. These guys are extremely professional and very knowledgeable. This is the precise reason you should rely on the help of experts when buying your materials! They were very patient and kept in touch to see when i would receive the parts i needed. They were able to schedule times to come install within a few days and always arrived exactly on time. The finished product looks fantastic and they gave me an unbeatable price, despite then having to come out multiple times to finish the project.

Overall, i am VERY happy with budget construction and would highly recommend them to anyone for any construction/remodeling project!

I want to thank everyone at Budget Construction, they are an amazing company and they do an exceptional job. This is a family own business and they make you feel like family, starting with Michael, the sales rep. Michael came by our home to evaluate the work, we discuss our budget and he worked with us to stay within our budget. This is not the type of company that quote you one price at the start of a job and then changes it after the work has started.

Our Project Manager with Budget Construction, Mark/Chris and his crew work so hard each day, they showed up on time and clean up each evening before leaving the job site. They were so professional and respectful, they stayed within our budget and keep us informed throughout the construction project.
I've had work done before with other contractors and none have worked as hard as Budget Construction crew.

Chris and his crew transformed our outdated kitchen, bathroom and living room into a show place. I am completely in awe at their skill level and work ethics, I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

Poor communication. Was completely ghosted when we could not finance. No call backs no return texts. We were going to just pay for job out of pocket but no one would respond. Very lucky that we did not do our renovations with them and went with someone else.

Budget Construction Company is the best construction company that I had ever dealt with. Don Schneider, the president is honest and easy to talk to. The workers are very professional, friendly, prompt and do not take shortcuts. They replaced my garage roof, installed gutters with leaf guards and oversized downspouts, capped the fascia and garage doors with aluminum, built a hatch door, closed the A/C opening, and replaced some of the asphalt-stained siding panels. These workers did an outstanding job! I highly recommend this construction company. I will hire this company soon to do my next project.

Caution: Read this before deciding on Budget Construction who rehabbed my basement. After the job was complete, I noticed some things that were not right.

A few examples:
Nail holes were not filled in
Areas where paint wasn’t applied with two coats or not at all
A door that is cut on an angle
Installation of flooring with missing screws
Faucet off center and not fully secure
Toilet paper holder crooked.

My real issue is that I had called Budget Construction and stated that I would like someone to come out to see the work that wasn’t done properly, they said someone would call. After two weeks I called again, and they said someone would call. And they never did. I told them that I would rather have someone come and inspect the work when finished then write a negative review – But since no one has responded here is my review. Once their work is done, that is how they treat you…as Done.

After posting my first review on 2/21/2024 the owner and the contractor reached out and scheduled another time to repair all of the outstanding work that was noticed after being in the space for a week.

My bathroom remodel experience was very good, it went smoothly and finished quickly.

It helps to have a skilled craftsman doing the work, which I was very fortunate to have in Dimitar. He was simply fantastic! He was great to work with, was respectful, punctual, and efficient. He worked quickly, was focused, organized, and careful. He communicated well and I always felt he had my best interests at heart. He’s an excellent craftsman (an easy-going guy), and it was very clear he took great pride in his work.

My remodeled bathroom is beautiful. I could not be more pleased with the quality of work and the overall experience. Job well done.

I'm an architect who's overseen the renovation and construction of apartments for 18 years so when I had to renovate my own condo I was looking for good quality at a good price, and I definitely didn't want to have to do a lot of work to manage the process myself. I'm very happy with the work that Budget Construction did - the quality is excellent. When a few small issues arose (as they always do), they were handled by the owner, Don, who made everything right. Overall, I'm VERY happy with Budget and would definitely recommend to anyone- including and especially to owners who don't have experience with this. Budget made it easy.

I would highly recommend Budget, in fact I have already. My new porch looks amazing!!! The staff at the Kedzie Office were so pleasant and patient with me as this was my first major home project. Overall, great work and customer services. I had a minor issue near the end of the project and when Mr. Schneider, called me to hear my concerns and followed up, I knew he was dedicated and committed to ensuring his customers were satisfied. I'm glad I went with Budget Construction. They are first rate.

I choose this company because the contractor was a good talker, I was very impressed with what he was selling but after I signed the contract the deal was not good because Micheal never let me pick out what I wanted done , luckily I spoke to one of the workers and explained to him and was able to pick out some of what I wanted to be done. I'm paying a lot of money to this company to remodel my second floor bathroom , so please read every paper before you sign and don't sign the last sheets saying the job is done until they finish, The worker is very good but don't speak English. I was very disappointed never sign this company again , do so research before you hire a company , I got a bad deal. sincerely Germaine Cowan. i am a senior and felt taken advantage of but the seller dont go with this company.

I had a bathroom that needed remodeling and Michael came over and gave me a quote. He understood my needs thoroughly, was very fair, transparent, and friendly, and gave me the lowest quote I received. His workers completed the job on time and on budget and did an outstanding job throughout. They put in a new tub, toilet, vanity, flooring, light fixtures, and tiling on the walls and repainted the walls and ceiling once they were finished. They did an absolutely stellar job, and I am very pleased with my new bathroom. I highly recommend this company and plan on using them again when I remodel my kitchen in a few years.

I was in need of an addition onto my home. I saw an ad on the T.V by Don Schneider, at Budget Construction. I called and made arrangements for the work to begin. To my amazement I now have a beautiful Master Suite, with a bathroom and walk in closet. I'm so pleased with my new addition.
