Avoid! It’s just a group of sales people for duralast roofing material. They did poor work and added stuff that wasn’t in the contract or agreed to. (2 new skylights?? You must be joking) It takes days or weeks to get responses and all they do is pass you back to the “project manager” who is just a sales person for their product and has no actual accountability. No one is in charge so you never actually talk to an owner or boss. For example I’ve had the project guy out to “take measurements” once since they declared the work completed and now they are asking to schedule another visit to “take measurements”. So somehow they installed and finished a roof including installing 2 unwanted skylights without even taking measurements yet they have total confidence in their man. It’s crazy. The other quotes I got for bitumen roofs were more expensive but I really wish I had used one of them. Very shady operation but at least I have a contract and well documented emails.

They did in fact schedule a follow up appointment as I mentioned in my original review and they stated in their response. In typical Lindholm fashion I got a call from Ryan who is the owners grandson or son saying that they needed to reschedule the appointment and he was going to personally come out in person to ensure my issues were resolved then DIDN'T EVEN SHOW UP or call. So its been 4 months, tons of visits and still no proposal to finish the project or address the issues in their billing and I'm still dealing with the same sales guy. At this point they should be paying me for wasting so much of my time.

Milton at Lindholm Roofing helped us make the right decision for the replacement of our flat roof ( an addition on our Mansard style house). He explained the different materials and the cost involved. The roofers were quick, thorough and polite. We also had our sliding door replaced at the same time( using a company the Lindholm works with), when we weren't happy with the locking mechanism on the door Milton came to look at it. He agreed with us and a worker from the door company replaced it in 2 days.
A few weeks after the work on the flat roof was completed rain water came into our house. I called Milton and the crew and Milton were there the next day. They discovered that a vent on our Mansard roof ( not the roof that had been replaced) needed replacing. The work was done within the week, we've had no issues since.
We will definitely use Lindholm again.
We highly recommend them.

We are very pleased with the experience with Lindholm Roofing. We used them after they were personally recommended by a good friend who also used them a few years ago. We did get multiple quotes from other companies but not one compared in terms of professionalism and responsiveness to our Lindholm project manager Rodrigo Cisneros. He was so thorough and clear about exactly what was going to be done and explained the benefits of the unified CertainTeed roofing system. The crews that came out to install our new roof and gutters were great. Respectful of our property during work and cleanup, hard working and fast! Rodrigo was with us every step of the way and ensured completion down to the finest detail. Highly recommend!

My wife and I recently requested a quote from Lindholm Roofing and had an amazing experience. They came highly recommend and now we can see why! The office staff was professional, friendly, super responsive. We spoke with Rebecca and she had a great knowledge base and was able to walk us through our many questions (and with this being our first time dealing with a roof replacement we had a lot!) But she did a great job walking us through the process and what to expect with ease and true professionalism. We will definitely be going with Lindholm for our roof replacement!

Lindholm did a wonderful job with the gutters and downspouts. Estimate was reasonable, and when they did the work it went well. The final bill was just a few dollars over for the extra wood.

The crew was fantastic. Completed the job in two days. They were excellent!!

Lindholm Roofing's customer service and quality of work were excellent. They came up with a simple, effective solution to divert water off a flat portion of our roof that was significantly less complex than other bids we received. Abraham was a skilled craftsman, personable and professional.

Lindholm Roofing has been great in responsiveness, providing guidance and service for our project. We had a new roof installed by Lindholm in 12-2020, and because our home is on the market needed a couple of chimney caps installed and a current inspection for the prospective buyer. Lindholm took care of both quickly and is guiding us on transfer of warranties. A special Thank You to sales manager Michael Huston for his quick communication and action.

I hired Lindholm Roofing in 2018 to fix an area in my house which was damaged from water leaking through the ceiling. They came out several times, always trying a "new fix" which cost me more money. After paying them a total of $1,465.00, this is what the inside of my house looks like today. When it rains, water leaks down the walls, bubbling the paint and pooling under the carpet. I would never recommend them to anyone.

We used Lindholm Roofing to replace our roof and gutters after hearing from multiple neighbors that they did a great job. We got bids from three roofers, and went with Lindholm. They did an excellent job. Matthew coordinated scheduling, and kept us in the loop on all the developments, such as finding several water-damaged boards once the shingles were pulled up. They crews cleaned everything up each day, using a magnetic broom to thoroughly sweep the whole property for nails and debris. Great work, and responsive staff: we strongly recommend Lindholm Roofing.

Lindholm Roofing was an amazing company to work with for our new windows! They are a true family business and such wonderful people. The job was fast and professional from start to finish and we couldn't be happier with our "face lift". I would highly recommend Lindholm for all home exterior needs!

We had an extremely disappointing experience with Lindholm Roofing in August 2024, when we hired them to replace our roof. Their lack of responsiveness and disregard for customer concerns were striking, and we strongly advise others to avoid this contractor.

From the start, their professionalism was questionable. They were unable to confirm receipt of our down payment, which was made via Zelle and should have been processed instantly. Instead, it took them five days to track it down. Based on their later communications, it seemed like they weren’t even trying.

Despite being crystal clear about our scheduling restrictions—outlined in bold red letters on the contract and reiterated verbally, via text, and by email—they scheduled the roof replacement for a time we had explicitly said we were unavailable. Missing all four of these communications was a major red flag, and in hindsight, we should have parted ways then.

When the work finally began, it went from bad to worse. Lindholm’s crew damaged our property during the installation. I immediately provided a detailed description of the damage, along with photographic evidence. They didn’t even bother to acknowledge the issue, let alone offer any solution.

The clean-up afterward was equally sloppy. Window sills were left covered in debris, and there were nails scattered all over our yard and the neighbors'. My neighbors and I had to spend considerable time clearing the mess they left behind. Again, despite communicating these concerns to Lindholm in writing, they simply ignored us.

Either they don’t care about their customers, or this kind of negligence is so routine for them that they’ve become indifferent to complaints. I can’t imagine any other explanation for their repeated failure to address serious issues.

The project also included new gutters, which were installed incorrectly, contrary to the agreed-upon specifications. We withheld $3,000 of the total payment until the gutter work was completed as per the contract, a completely reasonable decision. Ten days later we received a collection call demanding payment.

Only after I wrote to them in strong terms did the owner finally respond. Even then, the company made no meaningful effort to resolve our issues or show any real accountability. Their eventual apology was so insincere that it added insult to injury.

In summary, Lindholm Roofing showed a total lack of professionalism, accountability, and customer care throughout our project. If you’re looking for a contractor who values integrity and quality, look elsewhere. But if you’re willing to deal with a company that shirks responsibility and disregards customer satisfaction, Lindholm might just be the perfect fit.

PS: After the review was posted, the company "reached out" to us. And that's all you need to know about their lack of sincerity. They did not reach out to us when we complained, when we told them that they damaged our property, that the clean up was incomplete and shoddy, etc. They reached out only after we went public with our experience. And that's too late.

I am greatly pleased with the way that Lindholm smoothly initiated and performed the replacement of our roof. The house and the garage were both re-roofed in a single day. The crew are very synchronized at work. They are obviously excellently trained and talented. I was amazed at their performance and wholeheartedly recommend Lindholm for roof replacement or repair.

Lupe and the 2 installers did a great job replacing a 30 year old skylight. Everything went back in place and the area was cleaned.

Lindholm roofing is such an amazing company to work with. Everything was delivered before the work started, his crews were always on time, very respectful, extremely hard-working, and did a great job cleaning up each and every day.
We had our roof replaced, all new gutters, downspouts installed and three skylights.

They may not be the cheapest company out there, but I believe in that you get what you pay for, and we certainly did!!

We had our roof originally replaced by Lindholm Roofing 35 years ago and were very happy with the results. We had the roof replaced again by another company but about six years ago we decided Lindholm Roofing was the way to go. After the roof was done we had new siding put on. We have an extended roof over the front room which meets the second story approximately fifteen feet back, and where the front room roof meets the wall Lindholm did not use flashing and we had a leak into the front room. I called to have them address this, the first person that came out said it didn't matter even after I showed him that if you looked under the cosmetic flashing on the siding you could see directly into the inside wall. Afterwards I called Lindholm and was able to speak to Tom Lindholm. He said that could fix it if they bent up the cosmetic part to calk or seal that gap. The siding believe it or not cost more than the roof and I wasn't willing to have him destroy that look to complete the job that should have been done when the roof was complete. We could not come to an agreement on how to fix this issue and I was told that was all they could do. I have had to work on this myself, I wish I could say that we were once again satisfied with the work Lindholm Roofing did but I cannot.

We needed some work down on our concrete tiles and it was hard to find a roofer who was willing (and able) to work on them. Lindholm came through! Reasonable price, hard workers and great communication. If you’re looking for a roofer who is equipped to deal with vintage homes and unique roofs, highly recommend!

Lindholm Roofing has provided three generations of excellent service for my family! The home of my parents in Deerfield, my home in Deerfield and my daughter's home in Elmhurst. A successful, three generation, thriving family business "covering" homes all over the North Shore. Prompt, honest, and reliable work by very decent and honorable people. What more can one wish for than a safe roof over one's head? I highly recommend asking for their help with your questions and needs. Next job for me...siding. 😎

Lindholm Roofing was one of the best investments I made in my daughter's home. Changing a flat roof to a pitched roof, Tim gave me much needed direction on venting the new attic space, as well as other areas that needed attention. During a particularly heavy rain storm, prior to the new roof being installed, Lindholm came out to tarp the roof to ensure no addition interior damage was done. They also replaced the balance of the roof on the 1957 ranch home and were fastidious in there care of the property. Yes, other issues arose once the original roof was removed, but those items were addressed, discussed and agreed upon before the crew went forward with repair. They also replaced all the soffit, gutters and downspouts. One very akward area of gutter and downspout was of great concern, but turned out beautifully. Tim made time to walk the property for inspection once the job was complete...truly a professional, caring company. I will be using them for all my roofing needs going forward and highly recommend their work.

Lindholm roofing did an excellent job repairing our attic venting and added additional venting. The response and service was quick. The roofers were very professional! I would highly recommend doing business with Lindholm Roofing. I certainly will call on them again when I need help.
