I guess the name TruScam wouldn’t sell well. Terrible service. I had to spray for weeds myself anyway because, they only did a little spot spraying in the spring. I had a standing order to knock or ring our call me before service because our back gates are locked and they weren’t doing our whole back and side yards. I would let the dog out and see some bits of what I suppose is fertilizer and a sign in the yard. The receipts in their app said they did the whole area, but didn’t specify what they actually did. Save your money, go somewhere else or keep doing it yourself.

In April 2022 I received a text telling me an appointment was set for a tech to be at my house to treat the lawn. Not only was I in the hospital, but I had cancelled the account at the end of 2021 due to poor performance. I canceled the appointment in the same text. After being released from the hospital I returned home to find a bill and service statement attached to my door. I have made several calls to try and clear this up as well as cancel appointments they continue to send texts about. I even made a visit to the sales office in Collinsville, IL only to be told they only handle sales at that location. Evidently there is no real person to discuss this matter with except the collection agency that wants $63.95 on behalf of TruGreen.

Oh boy they’ll call you couple time daily even from their number and 800 number. Trying sell you more service etc. I discontinued with them just for that reason. After I cancelled my service they’ll still call you even when I asked them to put me in no call list. Nothing work.

Talked to representative about the situation and he throughly explained what was wrong and why it happened also what will have to be done. Did not get his name, but he did a great job explaining everything.

Not recommended for properties with dogs.

Have had multiple techs come do treatments and leave without speaking with me or letting me know how long to keep pets and kids off the grass. They note in the account that they came to the door and no one answered. Everyone has a motion-activated video doorbell these days. We all know when someone has come to the door--let alone that I work remotely next to the door with a dog next to me who would immediately start barking.

I called and asked for a note to be added to my account: do not treat the property without speaking with me first. Some techs started coming to the door. Today's didn't. TruGreen's position was that they added my note to lawn care services but today's service doesn't use the same notes (so, which is it? Came to the door and I didn't answer, or didn't know I wanted them to come to the door?). It's not my desire to be difficult, but none of that helps keep my dog from getting exposed to god-knows-what out there. For someone to say they came to the door when they clearly did not is a big issue for me.

We're at a point where I've had to key-lock the fence because I can't count on TruGreen's help with this issue.

We moved and despite calling to notify them and transfer our service they continued to provide service at the old address. Then they turned us over to collections for a service at our new address that we never received a bill for, so I’m not certain we ever received the service. We will be going with a local company with better communication.

I was consulted before he started and he did a very good job of explaining. He was very nice and got the job done well and quickly. He left a very good impression. 👍👍

They charged me for an application that I didn't want. I have called on 2 previous occasions to get this squared away and both times they told me I would be receiving my refund. They say 7 to 14 days. It's been 30 days and I just called a third time. Plus the the last gentleman that sprayed my yard said you still got a lot of weeds.. the stuff I got is stronger. So that leads me to believe the company water down the keep you with appointments. My crabby grass and weeds at still showing. Just a bad experience. Cancelling service and trying a competitor

Had tru green spray for mosquitoes for the first time and technician did not tell me he was here and he sprayed the mosquito repellent into my open windows and it was right where my pets were indoors. I had a chemical mess to clean up and tried calling tru green manager in Collinsville in but no one would answer the phone and they were open to ask how to clean the chemicals up. I called the next day and cancelled my service.
Terrible customer service and no one to talk to in an emergent situation. It was a lot that was sprayed in my windows and their repellent didn’t even work I still have mosquitoes biting me and my family.
Don’t use trugreen can’t reach no one.

I initially signed up for a treatment plan a few days ago. After reading the bad reviews I decided to cancel yesterday and try to do my yard on my own. When I first called the worker (same one that started my plan) tried to talk me out of canceling by saying the bad reviews were old and theyre customer service is much better now, and just to push back the start date when the field agent called. He promised I wouldn't be charged anything until the first treatment was started. I checked my account and it was true that I hadn't been charged. After thinking it over I called him back 15min later and told him I still wanted to cancel. He had a very annoyed attitude with me and said he couldn't cancel it and I'd have to talk to the call center. The call center lady was actually much friendlier than him (contrary to the trash he talked about his own call centers customer service level). She quickly canceled it and said my money would be refunded....Im thinking "what money?" I check my account and see the mad sales rep charged my card for $422 after I told him I wanted to cancel, clearly out of spite. Super petty and unprofessional. So I'm writing this review to let readers know they're customer service has not improved at all and I strongly urge you to go somewhere else.

The technician has arrived at my property was very experienced polite and conducted his business most professionally. I’ve had True Green for a number of years and I’m not disappointed if there’s ever a issue I contact him and they make it right great business mile for 2024.

Technician did a good job at explaining the product he put down and how long it takes to see results.

Told I would be contacted 3 days prior to service but not contacted until the day of. While I appreciate the job is complete, I had others services to schedule based on aeration schedule, now those are running behind. If I cant trust TG in the little things how can I trust the company in the bigger things. Details and promises are important.

The gate was left open. Please close any gate you opened. My 1yr. Pittbull terrier that is big and over 50 pounds, darted out of fence. I am. 79 years old and when we got a leash on him, he wrapped around my legs. I fell, luckily no broken bones. This could have been avoided. My son is on vacation, so neighbors helped me. He pulled woman neighbor down, thank goodness the man was able to get the dog home.

Excellent lawn service ( 9 per year including weed, fertilizer aeration, reseed ) and reasonable price. Technician always knocks on the door to let me know what service is being performed. And they alert me at least a day before they do aeration so I can mark what areas to avoid which is important to me.

The lawn looks great after just a few applications.

After tons of rain and continuous mosquitoes, I called to see what options I had for another spray. Trugreen was quick to set me up for a courtesy spray and was even there the next day!

I have had trugreen since 2017 and this is the worst my lawn has ever looked, after several years of no weed issues, this year, I don't know what they put down but it was not something to prevent weeds.

My yard was pathetic. Grass bare spots everywhere. Weeds galore. After my very reasonably priced Tru-green treatmemts it looked fantastic. Im very proud of how it looks now. Will be spending lots of time in my yard. Than you tru-green.
