Reviews of local pros in Des Plaines, Illinois

Special thanks to Matt and Andy of RenoMax, certified professional installers, Who came out today on a service call because our brand new Renewal by Anderson sliding door was not working properly. They came in and assessed the situation, removed the door and concluded that we needed a brand new sliding glass door installed. They very quickly and efficiently got a door, fitted it perfectly to our opening, and now it works the way it should have worked after the original installation. They did an excellent job, were respectful of our property, set up and cleaned up perfectly. We highly recommend this team of installers.

Just outstanding work! Tony and Lucus were fabulous guests. Fantastic carpenters and detailed work. They found some rot around the old patio door. They just took out the rot and replaced the wood -without asking or charging for it. Who does that these days. House was as clean as before they did the work. Project came in under budget.

Great job on the external flashing and caulking the siding. I’m confident I will not have a problem with leaking again

Very pleasant people to work with.

Oh and the windows are great too. My advice is go with the top of the line glass it really does cut down the outside heat. Also the hardware for the patio door works smoothly and is substantial. We got the keyed lock and security stopper. Excellent security option.

The sales process was comprehensive. The sales rep visits, goes over the options, measures, quotes the project and handles financing. A week later a project manager remeasured the windows, confirmed the options, and what to expect on delivery day. Product is custom made. Delivery happened exactly when promised. 8 weeks.

I can unreservedly recommend Renewal by Anderson.

Renewal by Andersen took care of everything. They were efficient and did a beautiful job! A great investment for our home.

So far so good! Renewal by Anderson came out for window measurements promptly as promised, and everything went smoothly. All aspects of the replacements were explained step by step so I would know what to expect. Also, to my surprise, I'm actually going to SAVE over 100.00 on original quote. Even better! Thanks to the Renewal by Anderson team.....Well today was installation day (10/14/25), Andrew and his team were amazing. They looked the job over, explained what was going to happen, then proceeded to attack job with such professionalism. Old windows removed, new ones installed in just a few hours. They walked me through the finished job and cleaned up every inch of workspace. Our home looks even more amazing now, thanks to Andrew and his crew, and Renewal by Anderson. A 5 star job!!!!!!!

I just had Anderson Windows installed, I feel the difference already.
There's no drafts of cold air anymore.
I have to lower the temp on my thermostat they're just that good.
The Anderson window crew that installed the windows were extremely nice and courteous.
Anderson Windows to my opinion are the best window that's made.

Daniel and his team did a superb job! They came prepared and replaced 9 windows, cleaned everything up. I am so pleased with Renewal by Andersen from the first initial meeting to the installation. If I ratedthem from 1 to 10, they most definitely would get a 10.

We had a great experience with our window installation. The team was professional, on time, and very knowledgeable. The installation was done efficiently and the quality of the work is excellent. Our windows look amazing and have already made a difference in our home. Highly recommend!

We replaced six windows & one sliding door on our second floor. Martin, Nicolas & Alex were very personal, professional and skillful Andersen workers. They handled their work effeciently & carefully while completing the job in one day! We would highly recommend this work crew. We were also pleased with how Andersen's sales and customer service personnel interacted with us along the process. And the high-quality windows & doors look great.

This is my fourth purchase over the last 10 years and Andersen keeps improving an already stellar experience. The sales reps are knowledgeable and courteous. They use video measurement apps to confer with design experts, assuring that their offers are accurate. For one of my doors, the expert recommended that masonry be repaired before installation. The representative connected me with a mason and monitored our progress.
The installation crew arrived on time, estimated about 6 hours duration to install the 4 doors, quickly built a plastic enclosure around each portal to limit cold and construction debris infiltrate, and set to work. About 6.5 hours later, they turned over the keys and showed me how the doors worked, loaded up the old doors, and cleaned the workspaces thoroughly!
Always a pleasure to do business with Andersen!

Anderson sent two amazing installers to my home, Matt & Andy! They were professional, detailed, efficient & very personable. The job was meticulously done, I’m very satisfied with the quality of Anderson’s windows & patio door.. If my installers are an example of the quality of employees hired by Anderson, I would highly recommend both their product & services!

Amazing work by Dennis and the install team. The whole crew was courteous, respected my home and did a fantastic job installing my new windows and doors. Couldn't be happier with the final product. It was quite an undertaking but the team got it done in a day! Highly recommend this crew!

Clean, efficient, thorough and very professional! 12 windows and 2 storm doors were done in a mere 6.5 hours without a trace, except for the new windows and doors, of them even being here today! Marcin, the Install Project Manager, and his install crew were top notch! Pricey service but you get what you pay for and it’s gonna be a great investment!

Thorough from start to finish. Communication and
punctuation outstanding. Dennis and his crew were professional in every way and we couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. The quality of the installation was as important to us as the quality of the windows. Renewal by Anderson of Chicago hit every mark. Job well done 👍

On 11/03/2025 I found that the 37 year old sliding door had a shattered pain on the outside panel of the stationary thermal window. Since the sliding door became harder and harder to slide each winter that unit needed replacing ASAP. Called Mark Baba, alias Odysseus, on a Friday evening around supper time and the dude set up over the phone. Thanks Mark.

Then when the new door was ready Renewal by Anderson sent out Tomas to do the install. Now Tomas was amazing. It was obvious that he was an expert from the beginning. He checked all measurements first and when he was satisfied he began by covering the carpeting from the front door up the stairs to my second story condo covering every inch of carpet on his path to the back room which had the old sliding door to the deck which had no stairs - so yes he had to carry all his tools, equipment and supplies to do the install including the new unit, take the old unit apart, remove the old frame and carry that all out. Next he dressed the opening preparing it for the new frame which he had to assemble in the hallway. Putting the new frame in place making sure it was level and square and ready for new side window and door which now glides open and closed with almost no effort. The new handles and locks are real nice.

So he finished the outside trim - looks real nice Tomas. On the inside he put up the new wide poplar trim and I was truly amazed at how PERFECT the miter at the top corners was! Fantastic Tomas 👌. He even added a protective barrier that will protect the wall when the poplar is stained… nice touch T 😸

After he took everything down to his truck we did the walk thru. Other than the new unit there was no sign he was ever there except for evidence that a true artist had done a fabulous job. Cost wise - you get what you paid for. Thanks Mark and Tomas

We are extremely excited and satisfied with our new front door installed door. The installers Robert and Adam were very skilled and professional. They protected the inside of the house while they worked. That was greatly appreciated! The made sure everything was vacuumed and cleaned up before they left. We highly recommend Renewal by Anderson to get quality products and service!

Incredible 4 panel sliding doors. Installation was very smooth and not a speck of dirt left behind. The entire process and communication from estimate, timeline, install and follow up was amazing.
High quality product backed by great customer support.

The crew from Renewal Anderson Windows did a top notch job. From set up, to clean up. My house was built in 1890, so they had their work cut out for them. My windows are beautiful! Highly Recommend! Great crew!

Great one-stop shop for windows and doors replacement! We were impressed by the service provided by every Renewal by Andersen team member at each step of the process. First, one of their Design Consultant, Stephen, came to our condo and spent hours explaining the process, the different window styles, trims, etc., and answering our numerous questions. After some back and forth to clear all the details and get a final quote, we decided to move forward with the project. Then we had an Installation Project Manager, Justin, come over to take precise measurements, finalize all details, and make sure we understand everything before the installation. The last step was the installation itself which took place approximately 2 months from the order placement, which was faster than other providers we got a quote from. On installation day, the crew was on time and their Crew Leader, Leo, explained in detail what was going to happen that day and how long it was going to take. At the end of the day, the crew leader walked me through each window and demonstrated how each one functions. They did a fantastic job and left our place as clean as they found it. In a few days one of their painters, Raphael, came over to paint the window trims. He was so detail-oriented and made sure that the job was done perfectly. Throughout the whole process I was informed of the progress through their online portal as well as by emails from the Concierge that was assigned to our project. The new windows look great and I have no regrets paying premium for the quality and service that Renewal by Andersen delivered.

Great service, great job and great price! Thanks!

Die Hard was terrific. They arrived on time, very professional and did a great job with our windows. Highly recommend.

We use this company at Kings Walk Association, which is a large scale condominium association, and they are amazing! They report lights out and any other maintenance items each time they are onsite, as well as making sure everything is amazing looking each visit. Would highly recommend! Great to deal with and very professional.
