Constraction reviews in Forest Park, Illinois

Sonin Construction built an open air front porch and an enclosed, heated rear porch for our home. Nelson, the owner, has excellent craftsman and workers on his staff. They take pride in their work and are courteous. Nelson does a great job coordinating with the City of Chicago for permit inspections, which due to the City's backlog on available inspection dates, can normally really slow down the execution of a project. We were fortunate to have our project finished and complete as soon as it was. We think the value for the money was great, with much attention to detail. In addition, we had a few out of scope additions to our contract, or change orders, and we always felt that Nelson gave us a fair price estimate for these add-ons. In the past, we've experienced many other contractors who jack up these change order requests quite a bit. We'd highly recommend Sonin Construction for home reconstruction of any type.

My husband and I have been remodeling our home for the last 2 years and during that time we have used 5 different crews to complete the work. Why you ask? Because the first 4 were a nightmare. Working with that number of crews you come in contact with all kinds, and I mean all kinds (the kinds that give you nightmares, result in tears and wasted time and money.) Needless to say when we thought of finally finishing our first floor remodel that included ripping up our floor, replacing doors and trim, redoing a bathroom and laundry room and updating the old plumbing, I accepted that this would probably be as painful as all the others.
I am here to report not so.
Nelson came out to the house 3 times to walk thru and provide a quote. I had already purchased about 90% of the materials needed for the job, and he was very accommodating. I could sense that he "got" the vision and was down.
Once we got going his crew was *one time * *reasonably clean * and *incredibly nice*. Nelson made every attempt to communicate what the plan was for the week and 9 times out of 10 that's what happened. For those that have been doing remodels you know that is not the norm. The few bumps we hit, Nelson rolled with and made every effort to correct, or be flexible around without upset or change orders. Example, Jesus, who was doing the tile, laid the tile in the wrong pattern on an accent wall. After mentioning it, Jesus came back the next day and rapidly relaid the tile, without any hurt feelings or issues.
Let's just say, I feel beyond lucky to have found Nelson and his crew. They made the final leg of our remodel journey as easy and painless as one could hope for.

We recently had our bathroom floor replaced, and we couldn't be happier with the results! From beginning to end, Nelson and his team were professional, punctual, and communicative.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality home renovations!

We loved working with Sonin Construction for our home remodeling project. All the rooms turned out beautifully (added a bathroom and bedroom in basement, remodeled powder room, added exterior door, moved closet in bedroom). The team at Sonin Construction is responsive and easy to work with. My wife and I both appreciated how everyone we met (plumbers, electricians, tiling, and general work crew) was more than happy to explain what was going on, options, or troubleshoot issues with us.

All the horror stories we heard about potential issues with construction projects had us so nervous but we never ran into any of those problems with Sonin Construction. While it is not exactly fun to have work on your house, we really did have fun working on this project with everyone there and they are all just great people to work with. Highly recommended!

Sonin Construction did an amazing job renovating and remodeling our house. The entire first floor was remodeled - changed the format of the floor plan, renovated and remodeled the bathrooms and the kitchen, electrical and plumbing, and installed new windows. My wife and I are extremely happy with the results and outcome. As a designer, I am very particular when it comes to the quality of work and the details. Sonin Construction did not disappoint. Nelson (the owner) is super responsive, knowledgable, and trustworthy. We plan on using Sonin Construction to redo our Master En Suite Bathroom in the future.

Sonic construction completed an entire renovation of the first floor of our house including one downstairs bathroom, one upstairs bathroom and converting a closet to a laundry room. Nelson at Sonin was great to work with and super responsive throughout the whole process. He and the team delivered on everything we asked for and on time. I highly recommend!

We were really happy with the work Sonin Construction did on our 100+ year old home! We needed a complete second floor remodel, including expanding a half bath into the full dormer space and finishing a very large unfinished attic space. Nelson was always responsive, and his workers always showed up, which goes a long way! Their attention to detail was really appreciated, and they happily did the work according to our preferences and wishes. Would absolutely hire them again and recommend them in a heartbeat.

We hired Sonin Construction to remodel our kitchen and convert our first floor into an open floorplan, which required taking out a load-bearing wall. Nelson and his team were wonderful to work with. They went above and beyond to ensure that everything went along smoothly. This was a big, complicated project that required lots of patience and attention to detail. Nelson and his team worked extremely hard to make sure that it turned out just as we had imagined. Nelson is trustworthy, reliable and knowledgeable. We highly recommend working with him and his team if you're planning on doing any sort of home improvement project. We finally have our dream home thanks to Nelson & the entire Sonin Construction team. We couldn't be happier and can't wait to work with Nelson and his team in the future!

Good Job 👌💪

Great! Thourough a pleasure to work with Great job

Ardian you did a great job thanks a lot !

Ardian was patient and flexible with our setup as some things not originally considered needed some changes to the original plan. We did request this and there were some extra fees, but he was great and the porch looks great.

Ardian recently worked on our house and did an amazing job.

I highly recommend ANP Associates for any construction needs. Their professionalism, quality of work, and customer-focused approach make them a standout choice in the industry.

Ardian and the team at ANP Associates came highly recommended by my sister, and now I know why. We hired them to help us to update our upstairs apartment, and it’s truly transformed. They worked with the quirks of our old house rather than against them, which was important to us.

In the bathroom, they painted the walls, re-grouted the tile, and carefully refinished a salvaged sink cabinet. In the kitchen, they scraped and repainted the built-in cabinet, refinished old salvaged cabinets, installed butcher block countertops, and cut and installed a salvaged marble countertop and shelf. Ardian also tiled the backsplash, which wasn’t easy, given our uneven walls but he made it look great! No surprise, as Ardian lived in Italy for about 10 years and learned to tile there.

We loved that they were able to restore our radiators without removing them or disrupting the system. Ardian stripped off years of old paint by hand, then repainted them with a metallic finish. Now the original details are visible again, and they look great!

One of my favorite parts of the project was the installation of salvaged historic dental molding in the Great Room. These were large, exterior-wood pieces, varying between 4–5 feet long each, that we found and wanted to repurpose. Ardian listened to our vision and brought it to life. He had to repair and cut the really old wood then leveled and installed it across a 30-foot span. We were thrilled with how it turned out as it matches the detailing we have on the exterior and adds a sense of history and craftsmanship that’s hard to replicate.

Ardian was thoughtful, communicative, and clearly takes pride in doing things well. Everyone who visits notices the details. We’re so glad we found ANP Associates.

Ardian and his crew at ANP Associates oversaw the complete renovation of our 1905 condo. Throughout the entire process, they were professional and flexible with our tight schedule. Ardian worked with us when we found vintage cabinets we wanted installed in the new kitchen. He restored them with meticulous detail, and installed them with ease despite the complicated nature of our request. Ardian's attention to detail was on full display when intalling our new wall and floor tile, where he managed to work with our uneven walls and floors (commonplace in old homes). Ardian and his team refreshed our bathroom with new grout and installed a new-to-us vanity that he carefully restored for us before installing. ANP oversaw several structural improvements to the condo as well, displaying competency of best practices related to load distribution and structural integrity. To finish off the project, Ardian and his crew painted the entire unit, working with us to acheive our ultimate design vision, including sanding and painting our wooden deck. Throughout the entire process Ardian was patient with our requests - realistic and honest about the full scope of our pojects, and relentless that each task was done well. Guests in our condo constantly comment on how beautiful and well-designed the unit is. We found Ardian and his crew at ANP to be very reliable and we'd gladly reccomend them to others in the area.

This was our second time working with ANP Associates, and once again, Ardian did a fantastic job. He built custom cabinets and built-in shelving for our living room, and they turned out even better than we imagined. Everything looks clean, sturdy, and really well-crafted. We’ll definitely be reaching out again for future projects

Ardian was so easy to work with, very professional and did a spectacular job sanding/repainting our deck, repairing/sanding and repainting our living and dining room, as well as taking care of some other repairs on our fence and around the house. Everything looks brand new. I highly recommend him and look forward to working with him again in the future.

We just moved to the suburbs, and Ardian has already helped us with so many projects in our new home, from bathrooms to concrete work, basement updates, and everything in between. He’s been out twice already, and we’ll definitely be calling him again! Highly recommend!

I recently hired ANP Associates.inc to work on my home, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. From start to finish, they were professional, punctual, and highly skilled. They took the time to understand exactly what I needed, offered helpful suggestions, and executed everything with great attention to detail.

The quality of the work exceeded my expectations, and they left everything clean and tidy once the job was done. It’s rare to find someone so reliable and easy to communicate with. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, high-quality work. I’ll definitely be calling them again for future projects!

I hired ANP Associates to install new flooring in my home, and I’m beyond impressed with the results. From the very beginning, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. They took the time to explain my options, helped me choose the right materials for my space, and provided a clear and fair estimate.

The installation itself was flawless — precise, efficient, and completed on schedule. The attention to detail was obvious in every corner of the room, and they left everything clean and spotless when the job was finished. The new floors have completely transformed my home!

It’s not easy finding a company you can truly trust, but ANP Associates exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-quality flooring work.

I’ve worked with them three times, once to sand, and stain my back deck, the second was to construct a very large back deck pergola, and the third was to construct a custom headboard, including dimmable lights and end tables with drawers. Totally professional experience. Thoughtful, diligent and looks great. Thanks. 😉
