Reviews of local pros in Geneva, Illinois

We got our fireplace inspected and cleaned, we hadn’t used it yet since we bought the house. Jorge explained things to us about our fireplace and helped us feel more confident in using it. We got the animal guard installed on the chimney as well as some safety updates to the fireplace itself. Jorge, Joel and Billy were all very helpful and courteous, good, clean work, and they got us scheduled right away which was very appreciated because we called a different place and were given a very long wait time and some attitude from the first place we called. We finally lit our first fire tonight and it’s great! Happy we found safe fire, thank you!

I had a great experience with this company. I called about getting an estimate & Jorge came out the next day. He thoroughly explained what needed to be done in a way that could understand. I received photos and an estimate. He was able to do the job the following week. I got more photos of the finished job & it looked amazing. Another company I called never got back to me. Jorge & Safe Fire gave me excellent customer service. That alone is worth checking them out.

Professional, on-time, and they took the time to explain what and why the repairs were needed. I recommend them! We will call them again for our next safety check!

Jorge and his team do a great job! They have a wide variety of gas log sets to choose from in a wide range of styles. They made sure we were 100% satisfied. I highly recommend them!

We posted the earlier review right after they completed the work. We just want to as again how happy we are with this company!!!! We thoroughly enjoyed working with Jorge and his team. They were very professional and fully explained the work they would be performing! They did an excellent job on both of our fireplaces and chimneys! We highly recommend their services!!!!

We would totally recommend Safe Fire Chimney & Fireplace Services. Jorge was quick to respond to our initial request for a quote to convert our wood burning fireplace into gas log. He was able to schedule the work quickly and was very thorough in answering any questions I had. Jorge and his helper did an amazing job. They even went above and beyond when painting the fireplace walls to make sure no fumes came in the house since I have animals that could have been sensitive to it. We are beyond happy with the end results. He was competitively priced, extremely professional and a pleasure to work with.

Jorge Delacruz from Safe Fire Chimney and Fireplace provided excellent service. He communicated often and with clarity on times he had available and prior to coming. After inspecting and cleaning our fireplace/ chimney- he clearly explained why we should consider improving the Firebox, back panel, gas starter and add a guard screen outside to keep critters out. We agreed we needed this done. Jorge contacted us to follow up on this plan and even added a discounted price. Jorge is friendly, easy going, and professional. Don't just settle for a company that merely cleans your chimney, but instead contact Jorge. He will go above and beyond cleaning with his careful inspection. Additionally, Jorge provided us with photos of areas of concern and then his work, A before and after snapshot of what he accomplished.

Pete T (#10229) was great!! He is very personable and professional. Found and took care of additional masonry issues. Installed new logs, etc. It looks perfect. Pete also made sure everything was cleaned up. Highly recommend. Jack and Diane Saylors

Chimney and firebox cleaning was performed w great detail. We used this company last season as well due to their expertise and will continue to have them maintain our fireplace.

The team was great. They installed a damper for us and came back when we had questions without issues.

Jorge and his crew were exceptionally diligent in investigating and fixing a strange problem with our chimney that required a partial rebuild. Their expertise and care shows in their work, and we're very happy with the results.

We needed a fireplace overhaul and Jorge at Safe Fire was the perfect choice. He and his guys checked the fireplace and chimney, cleaned it and told us what needed to be done. Jorge quoted a price, we picked out logs and his guys were back in a week to fix everything. Manny and his guys were as sweet and responsible as Jorge. This company was a great choice.

Jorge from Safe Fire Chimney & Fireplace Services was excellent. He was honest, trustworthy and very knowledgeable. We had another company come and told us we needed $6000 worth of chimney repair.. Jorge with Safe Fire Chimney came and let us know we did not need any work, chimney and fireplace were good. We plan on using Safe Fire Chimney Services for all or chimney and fireplace needs in the future. We are very grateful for their honesty.

We had Jorge and team out for a chimney inspection and they did a wonderful job. Provided photos and a detailed report, and were very reasonable in price. Highly recommend.

Prompt, professional service and we are very happy with the results! Safe Fire Chimney and Fireplace converted our wood burning fireplace to one with gas logs. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing fireplace conversion or maintenance.

Jorge and his crew were wonderful to work with. We purchased a home in late December and our vent cap had fallen off, as well as having some chase damage. Tried calling several companies, but no one seemed to be interested in the work.

I googled this company and Jorge called me back right away. We had a quote prepped quickly, and their work exceeded my families expectations. Jorge and his crew helped give our family peace of mind, knowing we were protected.

I highly recommend them to anyone in the Sycamore & Dekalb area.

Jorge is knowledgeable and professional I couldn’t have picked a better company. They did amazing work in a timely manner and exceeded my expectations. You won’t be disappointed! Before and after pictures attached.

Jorge was excellent to work with. The team cleaned and inspected our chimney along with verifying that our gas log was working properly. Other companies had stated that a chimney cap would have to be custom built. Jorge determined the manufacturer of our flue tile and found a chimney cap to fit it without needing a custom cap. The team was very nice, informing us of each step they were completing. I would highly recommend Safe Fire Chimney for any chimney needs.

I desperately needed tuck pointing OR possibly a chimney rebuild (from the roof up) on my 1881 victorian farmhouse in East Dundee.

Although I don't have a fireplace inside the house, the chimney is used to exhaust the hot water heater from the basement and I didn't want to remove the chimney and replace it with some type of modern pipe as some do. I felt that removing the brick chimney would result in losing the historic charm of the house.

So, I talked to Jorge D and Jorge R at Safe Fire Chimney (SF&C) and they walked me through my options. They supplied a quick quote with detailed photos of the inspection and what they would do for the job! Even though the pricing was fair and comparable to quotes I received from other chimney companies that have been in business for much longer, I went with SF&C because I feel they really went the extra mile during the quote process.

Jorge D and Jorge R, along with their amazing crew - Joel, Billy and Brian, did an outstanding job doing the tear down and rebuild! They paid special attention to details including my request to rebuild with reclaimed bricks that matched my stone foundation along with installing a more old fashioned style chimney cap which helped to retain the historic charm of my house! *** see before & after photos ***

If you are looking for any chimney work, I HIGHLY recommend SF&C!

The Safe Fire team pretty much renovated the entire 50 year old gas fireplace system in my house from hearth to chimney support on the roof. Excellent work and I’m very happy with the results. Jorge and team were excellent to work with. They take lots of pictures and walk you through every step of the process thoroughly. Nice job.

Jorge and his team did a great job. They installed a new stainless steal chimney flue, damper, and resealed the cap. They were very responsive to my questions and requests. They completed the work quickly and left no mess behind. Their price was lower than the other quotes I got and the quality of the work looks great. I recommend.
