The experience from Inspection to Installation was really good. I had tons of questions and Kiren and the team addressed them promptly and with patience. They worked through any questions I had post installation. I found them very organized and collaborate and that made a lot of difference. The quality of work was great. I highly recommend using Advocate Construction for your roof replacement and roofing needs.

II called advocate to have my driveway replaced. They provided a quote which I accepted. I worked with Jack Moore and he walked me through the process. They also obtained the work permit. I spoke with the city of Aurora and they had no complaints so I was confident I hired the right contractor. After the work was finished I saw and spoke with the city inspector on his pre-inspection. He indicated that I would like working with advocate driveway company. He made a couple of recommendations that Advocate Driveway was not required to do. I brought this to Jack Moore's attention and they performed the recommendations without hesitation. I also had them do a side job of removing a small front walk going from the driveway to the porch. They performed the work flawlessly

Satisfied customer! We had wind and hail damage to the roof and siding of our home. Advocate Construction made sure we received our full benefits from the home insurance company and they also provided quality material and labor to replace the roof and siding. Advocate Construction are not storm chasers but a professional company that strives for 100% customer satisfaction. Fillip Anderson was our Advocate Construction representative and he made sure we were taken care of throughout the entire process. Thank you Fillip and Advocate Construction for your service and for keeping our home safe and beautiful!

I am beyond thankful for Advocate. Our insurance company was extremely difficult to deal with after the damage to our home from a hailstorm. Javier tirelessly advocated for us and helped us navigate the insurance process. Our process literally took over a year for insurance to approve the actual damage that needed to be fixed and release what was owed to us. I cannot thank Javier and his colleagues enough for helping us get this done and for coordinating every last detail. I would highly recommend Advocate.

Craig was instrumental throughout the entire process. He guided us with expertise and was always available to answer our questions, ensuring we felt informed and confident every step of the way. His thorough communication made a significant difference, allowing us to understand the project's progress and what to expect.

What impressed us most was Craig's follow-up after the installation. It demonstrated the company’s dedication to customer satisfaction and provided us with peace of mind knowing that they truly care about their clients.

We wholeheartedly recommend Advocate Construction to anyone seeking reliable and skilled roofing contractors. Their professionalism and quality of work set them apart in the industry!

Diego Bellandi is the guy to go to for your roofing needs. My personal experience right from his first visit after storm till last invoice payment was very satisfactory. Thanks to him and advocate construction for their work. Diego is knowledgeable and patient. All my questions were answered to satisfaction. Last but not the least, thanks to Jeff for helping me understand the inspection process as it was in progress with insurance adjuster.

Great company to work with. They replaced my roof in May of 2024 because of hail damage that occurred a few months prior. The communication and ease of filing a claim was amazing. They kept me informed every step of the way, especially Michael Martens. The workmanship was excellent and I am completely happy with the final product. Any questions that I had were either answered via email or personal phone call or text message in a very timely manner. They continued to follow up with me and still do making sure that everything has worked out according to my satisfaction. I highly recommend this company!

My insurance company wasn’t quick to approve my roof and siding, but Julian Serano from Advocate Construction really came through for me. He stuck by my side throughout the whole process, worked tirelessly on my claim, always had a backup plan, and could anticipate problems before they came up. He even took the time to stop by my house multiple times in person to go over everything. Julian and his team are top-notch, I’d recommend them to anyone needing a roof, siding, or any home project. He told me from the start that he wouldn’t stop until my claim was approved and I got what I deserved, and he followed through on that promise. The support staff at Advocate were also amazing, super friendly, helpful, and patient with all my questions. With so many unreliable roofing companies out there, it’s a relief to have found a trustworthy one like Advocate Construction.

Advocate Construction approached us and initiated two roof insurance claims in 2020 and 2025, but both were denied. In 2020, there was no follow-up at all after the denial. In 2025, they did request a second inspection, but it was also denied, and again, there was no follow-up or assistance provided afterward. They have not been responsive to text messages, slow to respond to emails, and failed to provide requested documentation on time. Nearly all of my neighbors with similar storm damage had their roofs replaced through insurance, yet Advocate Construction failed to secure approval or effectively appeal my denials. And these two claims directly resulted in non-renew of policy from our insurance.

Given that they initiated both claims, I expected them to be more proactive in helping me appeal or explore other options. Instead, I felt unsupported throughout the process. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them if you need a contractor who will actively assist with the insurance process.

We had an excellent experience with Advocate Construction. They were professional, efficient, and did a fantastic job on our roof. The team was punctual, kept the worksite clean, and completed the project within the estimated time. They also provided clear communication throughout the process, explaining each step and ensuring we were satisfied with the progress. The quality of the workmanship was top-notch, and the final result exceeded my expectations. Craig was an excellent sales person and his approach was always customer centric. We highly recommend Advocate Construction to anyone looking for reliable and skilled roof contractors.

Following a major hail storm in Evanston, IL. this Summer, I had Advocate Construction come out to assess the damage and work with my insurance provider to file a claim. Fillip Andersen @ Advocate Construction was very responsive and knowledgeable during the entire process and he delivered to us a very professional team to repair/replace our roof, gutters and siding. Overall, I was very pleased with the entire process and finished product. I would use again for exterior projects and I recommend for any home repair.

When Isaiah showed up to our door to give a free assessment of potential hail damage, we thought this was too good to be true. The initial process went very smooth and construction started soon after. And that’s where the issues started. We were getting a roof “for free” due to hail damage. While the roof was tore off, a storm came through. They assured us it was weatherproof but we knew that to be wrong when at 2am we woke to buckets of water pouring into our living room (see video). The drywall was damaged, the trim was literally popping off the walls. They responded immediately and indicated they dried everything out (who knows) and replaced the roof. They were also to add new gutters and downspouts. After many delays, we finally got them installed(or so we thought). My husband noticed they were the wrong size and let them know. They said our size was back ordered and that these were temporary; however, I don’t think they would have corrected the issue unless we had noticed. Once the correct ones were installed, we realized that in a rainstorm all the water was spilling over the top and not going down the downspout. We realized they improperly cut the gutter for water to flow through. They left the metal teeth that should have been cut off. This is extremely dangerous because if you were to put your hand in to clean out the gutters you’re at risk for cutting your hand. We’ve reported this several times and it’s always “we’ll have someone come out”. We will be approaching the one year mark and we still have trim damage, drywall damage, and our downspouts still do not drain. This ended up being a not-so-free roof.

The Advocate team led by Carlos worked efficiently to complete our job in a single day, replacing our entire roof with high quality shingles. They showed up promptly as scheduled and worked until the project was complete. They communicated their expectations clearly to make project run as smoothly as possible.

Eddie H and all his crews were fantastic. I am an avid gardener and I feared for my landscaping. Not only was our new roof constructed sturdily and beautifully, but the grounds were all cleaned up meticulously. I did not find a single nail or screw (nor did my John Deere tractor ;-).

My first encounter with Advocate Construction was in the summer of 2024. They were in my neighborhood filing insurance claims from the May hailstorm. Their salesperson was very knowledgeable in inspecting my house for damage and filing the Insurance claim.
After everything was filed and approved. We set up a tentative date to have my roof replaced. It was at this time that I informed the sales rep that I would be going into my attic and inspecting to make sure that they replace my roof fans in the correct position. I also laid out my expectations of what needed to be done (Flashing installed, make a tighter transition of the vinyl siding to the shingles, and assure that there will be no leaks where the upper roof meets the lower roof).
The disappointments started on November 12th, 2024, when the roofers were supposed to show up at 7AM. They didn’t show. After calling the office, they had told me they were finishing up a job from the day before and that they would be at my house by 9AM. 9AM come and went. I called them again; they assured me they were coming. The crew arrived at 11:42 AM. I had no idea that they were planning on trying to finish this roof in 1/2 of a day. But that was their plan.
Now come the time to go up in the attic for my inspection. What I discovered is that their nails were way too long and for some reason it was breaking my plywood decking apart. I immediately went down to talk to the foreman. He called the office, and they told him to take pictures of the damage. Afterward I spoke with management from the office. I was demanding that they replace the damaged plywood. (At this point, they were almost 1/2 of the way done installing the shingles). I thought they would stop and assess the situation. But that was not the case. The management told me that had to close the house up (finish all of the shingles) and we would talk about this damage later.
Now that later has come, the only talking they are doing is on how to get out of re-roofing my house. The inspection that I had done revealed faulty nails, the nails were blunt on the top. Also, they didn’t follow Owen’s Corning’s installation instructions and on top of that drove nails into my roof decking crooked. I only lifted up 6 shingles on my roof to inspect the crooked nail patterns and for broken shingles. In every row that I lifted, there was improper installation noted. On one row, the nail must have struck another nail that was holding down the sheathing, because it just bent over and was sticking up by 3/8”. They just left that there. One of the rows by my roof fan is only nailed down with one nail (obviously because they didn’t remove the cover to nail this down properly). Owen’s Corning nail specification is minimum 3/8”. The nails they used were 1 1/4” long (way too long for my 1/2” sheathing) and the head diameter is 7/32” (smaller than the minimum of 3/8”). Then on top of this, they were supposed to install a synthetic underpayment, which they just used 15lb. Felt. After my inspection, the roof fan is not centered over the hole in the roof!!
All of this is totally unacceptable to me. The company is supposed to have a warranty on their workmanship. But to this point of my writing this review, the only offer from them was to somehow lift up one of the shingles, remove the nail and reinstall a nail. This is not physically possible to do without damaging the shingles (the nail needs to be driven straight). They also offered to repair a leak on the brand-new roof and repair the damage that their contractor has done to my gutter and fascia. At this point and time, I can accept nothing less that to replace the plywood sheathing they damaged, install the flashing that they never replaced, and re-roof the house and repair the damages they caused.
Advocate Construction is claiming that their warranty doesn't start until the job is finished and that I have paid them. They haven't completed the job.
I am appalled that this Company is not honoring their warranty on their defective workmanship.

This is my reason for my review. Beware.

On 07/17/2023, I engaged Advocate Construction for a roof replacement project at my home. While I appreciated the initial discussions and the promise of quality work, I must express my disappointment with the overall experience and the lack of follow-through on several critical aspects of the project.

    1. **Lack of Communication: ** Throughout the entire project, there was a significant lack of communication from your company. I was not provided with any advance notice of when your team would arrive or depart from my property. This lack of communication caused inconvenience and frustration.

    2. **Debris Cleanup: ** After the roof replacement was completed, there was a significant amount of debris and materials left scattered around my property. It is the responsibility of your company to ensure a thorough cleanup after completing the project, and this was not adequately addressed.

    3. **Unfulfilled Promises: ** Three months have passed since the completion of the roof replacement, and I am still waiting for the installation of the gutter guards and the repair of the screens, as promised in our initial agreement. These are essential components of the project that have not been completed, leaving my property exposed to potential issues.

    4. **Price Discrepancy: ** I have also become aware that the price charged by Advocate Construction for the roof replacement is significantly higher than the market rate and the quotes I received from your competitors for similar services. This price discrepancy has left me feeling unfairly charged for the services rendered.
