They diagnosed the issue and agreed to come out, but instead of addressing the root cause, they suggested a temporary fix that would only last until next year. This approach seemed surprising, especially since they added two pounds of Freon without explaining why it was necessary or how it would address the underlying problem.

The tech also recommended adding more Freon, which raised questions about their understanding of the issue. When I asked if there was a leak in the system, the response was dismissive and suggested that we'd know if there was an issue if we used the unit more sparingly next year. It seemed like they were trying to avoid addressing the real problem.

To make matters worse, they added a $89 cleaning service that was supposed to help with the unit's performance. However, as you can see from the photos, the "cleaning" didn't even come close to what we'd expect for the price. The tech simply sprayed the unit with our hose, and that was it. We ended up using actual coil cleaner the next day to get a proper cleaning done.

It's worth noting that this company charges an additional $89 "drive fee" that doesn't go towards repairs, which is a surprise since other firms we've worked with include this cost in their overall price. Their claim that this makes their prices fair is dubious at best.
