When we sent a photo showing the deck's subpar finish, Sherwin Williams sent a rep out to evaluate, but they couldn't pinpoint if the issue was with the stain or prep. PTW said they'd send a lead tech to assess the problem, but instead of inspecting and communicating with us, he just started re-prepping the deck when we were away.

Furniture on the deck was carelessly moved around without removing it, which led to embarrassing videos and photos showing the tech spraying it. We complained, and PTW said a tech would attempt to clean it if needed - but instead of trying, they left us with permanent stains after scrubbing it ourselves due to the chemical used eating through the metal.

We asked for the stain to be rolled on instead of sprayed, which led to better results, but there were many bare spots where hardly any stain had been applied. We assumed they'd come back out to finish the job, but PTW just ran out of stain and gave up. They claimed we should have sent pictures of the bare spots for their evaluation.

After sending photos, PTW agreed the job needed finishing, but the next team came out and left a puddle of stain and a used roller behind - no follow-up or communication. We emailed again, asking if they'd come back out to finish it, but got the same response: "Paul was there himself and didn't see anything else."

Looking at their finished work, it's clear they thought they were done when they weren't. They should've communicated that from the start - every contractor we've hired in the past does a walk-through like this. PTW had zero supervision of techs, no attempt to verify the quality of their work, and virtually no communication.
