I called for a tub that was backed up and water started coming up out of another drain. They arrived later that morning, and quickly and professionally cleared the clog. Reasonable prices and quick response. Wore PPE and were very professional.

Very unprofessional plumber..his word means nothing...I actually found a really honest plumber who fixed my bathtub faucets in a half hour!!! Amazing. And he didn't gouge me..very reasonable...Not your typical Chicago plumber!!...

Called 4 plumbers that were too busy to deal with my problem before I called Mike. Mike was at my home in 25 minutes and completed the work within 2 hours. He was professional and explained the process each step at a time.

Mikes Plumbing saved me from my plumbing nightmare!!! My house was scheduled for an inspection in less than 24 hours and we had a terribly clogged bathtub drain and a tub full of gunky water! After two hours of plunging, drain snaking, and more- Mike arrived and solved the problem within 10 minutes (this all took place at 10pm!!). I cannot express my gratitude enough! Very responsive. Called at 4 am after my water heater valve burst off and water was shooting out everywhere. They helped solve the immediate emergency and even did a video call to help. Great service, people who really care. Highly recommend

Called him last week for emergency flooding in our basement. The main sewer pipe has been clogged and our drainage was not working which caused the flooding in the basement. The problem is that there is our central heating that was almost under water and we needed to fix this as soon as possible. Called him on Sunday and he kept promising that he will come the same day and he never showed up. Absolutely unprofessional! I had to find a way to fix the problem by myself.

Relatively new home owner here (we moved in August last year). Hadn't had any real plumbing issues yet in the house until about a week or 2 ago. Suddenly when we washed laundry the basement slop sink would back up a little and super slowly go down. Tried to plunge and rod it but didn't work permanently. Later, the dishwasher started causing the backup as well. Then, the shower, then, even flushing the toilet backed it up. Now the water was actually s*!t water brown at this point even saw toilet paper floating in it. Figured it it must for sure be the main line needed rodding after chatting with some folks and googling. So earlier today we call Roto-Rooter, about 4 hours later guy comes out, takes a look at the access we have outside to the main, then says he can't rod it, gotta wait until tomorrow. Now it's way later and we can't use any more water (brown water backup in basement sink if we do) can't shower etc... aaaaand back at square one. We called 3 more places to try and ask, get quotes, etc. One place guy wanted to charge $800. Another can't come out until tomorrow. Finally after almost giving up for the night we call Mike's. Super high reviews on Google! (4.8) BUUUUUUUT only 4 reviews we say.... Well we decided to give him a call, worth a shot we figured. Call after 10 PM on Sunday night. (Today as of this writing, 4/23/2017). He was out here by 1105PM. Opened up the access quick, ran in and ran all the water with me, noticed now the upstairs bathroom toilet and shower we're backing up instead of basement slop sink. (Reason was now slop sink was clogged secondarily cause of the backup of the s*!t water) he helped unclog that secondary one (AND a bit of the upstairs shower too) at no extra charge. About 20 minutes later if even, heard the huge slurp and saw the toilet backup shoot down the drain. Everything fixed like 20-30 minutes after arrival. Big ol rodder machine did the trick. Also explained a lot of the plumbing around the house. Went both ways with the rodder too from the access just in case. Ended up pulling out a lot of roots and stuff (I guess usually it's roots, supposed to get the main line rodded as a preventative maintenance item every 6mo to 2 years it sounds like) Total price was better than roto rooter as well. Friendly, professional. Plus, mentioned during the daytime and when not in a hurry like today as a preventative maintenance item it'd be even cheaper too. Will definitely be calling again if/when another bigger problem calls for a pro. Very happy we went with a good local place even tho he only had the 4 reviews, and I'm happy to be writing the 5th. If you need a pro, call Mike. And then leave some more good reviews!

A person who took us for a $930 ride and never completed the job, nor did he guarantee his work. We should have shopped around, because he took advantage of our not knowing going rates. SEE PIC of INVOICE: Charged separately for rod and camera. The plumber who finished the job charged only $200. An unsuccessful rod and camera cost us that much. Upon picking up his equipment, he entered our house without our permission, and made a scene in front of our house when we cancelled what would have been another $450 rodding on top of the INVOICE below. Consider yourself warned.

I had a simple need (replace a shower faucet cartridge that was ancient , stuck really tight, and now stripped) but needed assistance pretty quickly. I tried calling a fair number of places, and they did the job faster and far more affordable than others. Plus, they were friendly and sociable. Will definitely look them up first in the future.

They charged me $1,150 for draining the water and rodding the septic tank, which took them only one hour. After two months, I encountered the same issue and called a different company, which performed the same work—if not better—for only $400. I'm surprised at how some companies take advantage of their customers. I wouldn't recommend them.

When our bath pipeline exploded, Mike was able to reach our apartment in less than 20 minutes. It was amazing. Super fast and reliable service. This service is worth every penny.

Thank you Mike for being there within 30 min of my parents house emergency! There was water coming out of the drain on floor in boiler room and from upstairs in the dishwasher. Long story short, dirty water was accumulating and Mike and his partner came and fixed things up with a fair price. God bless and thanks again.

I called Mike about my kitchen sink being clogged. He arrived expeditiously and power rodded the drain and cleaned out the sink itself. I had thought that my garbage disposal may need to be replaced, but he inspected it and told me it was fine. He didn't try to sell me a garbage disposal that I didn't need. I appreciate that very much.

Mike came out the same day I called, very professional, good price, and let me know my options right away. This was a great experience, and not always the case when hiring someone you've never met before. Time was used effectively, price was great, and I would use them again without hesitation. Had a serious toilet leak on a Sunday night & I did what anyone would do. I googled “24 hour plumber Chicago”. Funny thing is, 8 places I called would not be able to help until Monday. So much for 24 hours... I called Mike & Mike delivered. Issue fixed same day. Great price. Great person.

My tenants in Chicago woke up one morning with no hot water, a few months ago, and Mike came to examine the problem within a couple of hours. He was professional, courteous, explanatory and rectified the situation.
A week ago, free of charge, he came to my place in the suburbs and adjusted my backup sump pump. Because of his complimentary service and advice I've been reading, online, about the importance of a primary and secondary sump pump. I will always patronize this business for my plumbing needs & highly recommend that others follow suit.

Mike's was great. They got in and out efficiently, and helped troubleshoot an issue that a different plumbing company was unable to fix. Mike's plumbers wore PPE and were extremely careful when working inside our place. Our sinks have never run so smoothly and we'll be using Mike's for all our plumbing needs moving forward.

I called Roto-rooter company and one other company to replace all the cooper pipe in my two flat building and their prices were too high.
I called Mike's plumbing they came the same day and they explained everything and I was feeling very confident with them, they started the work right away and finished on the time promised. I am very happy with his rate and services. I highly recommend him.

Mike is my go-to-plumber! I have used his services quite a few times.
He has extensive knowledge about any plumbing works. During the last service, he also took the time to look at a separate plumbing issue I was having and made some recommendations for that. I would definitely recommend him .

Hire Mike when you need a plumber. Great trades people are often hard to find and Mike is great. While I am not a plumber, I know enough about the trades to know quality work. I first used his service when I needed to add a sewer line. I got 3 bids and his was the lowest, and his work was excellent. I live in an 80 year old house in a wooded area. So occasionally the sewer's back up and Mike always gets the repair done quickly and at a very fair price (which just happened).
