Had a fire in mid April during covid-19, this company did exceptionally well, Rich was the main person my husband I spoke with and he was very kind and thorough, made sure we knew what was happening, how and when. I must say I couldn’t have been more pleased. Also Rich if u read this I found my grand fathers camera safely tucked away in the boxes, thank you guys so much we appreciate you🤗🤗

If I ever had to go through this terrible situation again, Rescue Cleaning & Fire would be the first place I would call. I would recommend them 1st to anyone unfortunate enough to have a fire disrupt their lives.

Rich at Rescue Cleaning was extremely professional, responsive and helpful every step of the way. He picked up some of our stuff from 2 different places that were far away (that did a terrible job that we had to let go) and took our belongings to Rescue that is conveniently located. Rich answers his phone, returns phone calls, and does what he says he will do, always professionally and friendly.

At Rescue, they did a great job cleaning and storing our belongings, they allowed us to get some stuff out as we learned we needed them, and even assisted us by transferring everything to pods as we decided to take our stuff to a second home out of the area since the home that caught fire was taking so long to be repaired.

I wish all of the companies we dealt with were as professional and as reliable as Rescue Cleaning & Fire. IF you have a fire, beware, there are a lot of companies that promise the world that they are professionals knowledgeable of what needs to be done until you sign on the bottom line, then hire someone else inexperienced to do the work. Thankfully, Rescue is not one of those companies.

I made the giant mistake of hiring Rescue Cleaning & Fire Restoration after a pipe burst in my home. They moved all of my property – furniture, appliances, etc. – into their storage facility to complete repairs, which included replacing the flooring and some drywall. The day before they told me they would move me back into my home, they sent a fraudulent invoice with $5k worth of work they did not do, and informed me that they would be holding all of my property hostage until the phony bill was paid in full. Flat out extortion. This situation has been dragging on for months, with no end in sight.

They wait a week or more between communications, refusing to provide any substantive information to my insurance adjuster or to provide an accurate, written invoice. Anytime they have been forced to remove one fraudulent charge they just make up a new one to take its place. There is not enough space here to detail all of the horrors of dealing with these con men (but if you’re interested, you can look up the formal complaint I filed with the IL Atty General). They are the most disreputable, dishonest company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

With all the nonsense I have been subjected to by these people it’s almost a secondary issue, but the work they actually DID do was incredibly overpriced and unprofessional (eg: charging $700 to paint an empty 10’x12’ room, the end result of which was markedly worse than the previous DIY job).

Experiencing a significant loss in your home through a flood or a fire is stressful and traumatic enough on its own. Don’t make your situation infinitely worse by getting involved with con men. Save yourself the heartache and hire literally ANYONE ELSE. These scammers take advantage of people for a living and should be in prison.

My insurance company hired Rescue Cleaning & Fire Restoration to mitigate some water damage at one of the properties we manage. I arranged to meet with them when they wanted to do their checks to remedy the issue.The same day they set fans to dry out the water damage for three days. I’m truly satisfied that Rescue Cleaning & Fire Restoration did a really fine job. They’re very professional and competent people.

Joanna and her crew did a fabulous job in returning my storage property. Upon inspection, everything was nice and clean. The crew was also very respectful and professional in placing all the boxes. Thank you so much.

Rich and his gang were exceptional in every way. The damage to my fathers antique furniture was extensive. Rich was able to make his family heirlooms take life again. They were capable of rebuilding them and bringing them back to the beauty before the accident. My father was overwhelmed. Thanks for such a superb job.

I'd like to express my sincere appreciation for a star performer in your organization. Mr. Rich Hamlin was so very helpful in my time of need. We experienced a house fire in April 2020. If you have never been thru it, I can assure you that even though we were very fortunate to have gotten out with no physical harm--the emotional stress can be overwhelming. There is so much coordination and organization involved. There are offices and agencies to reach. There are countless mounds of paperwork to sort thru. I really appreciated the way Mr. Hamlin was able to answer my questions, coordinate certain aspects of this ordeal and he even worked out a much needed extension for me. I don't think that getting the extension was within his job description but he took the time and made it happen. It was always a pleasant experience when he would call to inform me of something or to check on this or that. I am long overdue with getting this information out because I am still in the process of getting my house back in order but I wanted to make it known that I am a big fan of Mr. Hamlin! Thank you so much!

WHATEVER YOU DO, DONOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. My time is up and they still have not fixed the item that where not done correctly. Never got things repaired. These tiles came down 2 years later and they never came back to repair.

I have nothing but praise and appreciation for Rich and his team. From the very beginning, Rich was right there for me and my family. He was so understanding of the trauma of what had happened to my home and myself. He never made me feel like my concerns were not his concerns. From packing up my home, being there when my daughter and I arrived at the temporary apartment, to the day we moved back in, he was always the same caring person. The day I came to do the final walk-through, I was a mess. Rich was so reassuring when he said that it would be okay and eventually I would come back home. He was right. 14 months later, he and his team were there to carefully move my things back into my house. I could not be more grateful. You can't even tell that my possessions have been in a fire. No smoke smells or anything. Things that I knew were damaged were returned to me like new. You will not be disappointed be Rescue Cleaning and Fire Restoration.

As a first time victim of fire damage to my business I was in disbelief and in shock and didn't know where to turn to first. Rich Hamlin an his crew were there immediately after the fire was put out, without pressuring me to anything he gave me his card and briefly explained to me what services they offered. Im glad I decided to call, I got excellent service since day. they made a terrible experience into a relief, always kept me up to date and did a great job on brining back to life what was still left of the fire. When I had damage to my condominium Rescue came right in and assessed everything, securely removed my salvageable items and secured them . They also took pictures of the unsalvageable food items to submit to insurance. They were very personable and nice and I was able to call with any questions and concerns.. When I moved back they brought everything back securely packed and unpacked many things and placed back in its place. They even had a nice touch because my nightstand and dresser had a broken knob and they replaced that broken knob and that was very nice. Rich and Joanna were awesome. I do highly recommend their services.

Once the fire was out and the smoke cleared I was bombarded with several public adjusting companies. Many of the companies were bad mouthing each other which I thought was weird. Someone assisting us that morning suggested speaking with Harold and the rest is history. Harold, Rich and Peter (especially Peter) has helped me through out this entire process. I couldn't ask for a more professional, compassionate group of people representing Rescue Cleaning &Fire.
I absolutely love the work that has been done and as promised my house is like new. I will be the first to recommend your services to anyone.

Exceptional, Exceptional, Exceptional service. Did I mention Exceptional 😁. After our house fire, the care and professionalism showed to my husband and I went beyond the words I could ever express. I hope that I never experience a house fire but it is nice to know there is a company like Rescue that is there to help.

Very professional they removed furniture and return it very professionally. So far everything seems to be intact ( have not finished unpacking). Items were placed in area where they belong and boxes properly marked. Rich and the Workers was fast and efficient getting the job done. I am satisfied and would recommend the compamy.

Since my previous review, still nothing. I have a leaky pipe and hopefully my kids and I are not inhaling mold due to the negligence of The Contractors of Illinois, Nationland Adjusting, Rescue Cleaning and all of their companies. RUN RUN RUN! ALMOST 5 YEARS LATER AND IN STILL DEALING WITH BROKEN PROMISES. MY HARDWOOD FLOORS ARE CAVING IN AND I STILL HAVE BLUE TAPE MARKING SEVERAL PLACES AROUND MY HOME THAT NEEDS REPAIRING. DO NOT GO WITH ANY OF THEIR COMPANIES!

I would like to apologize for my review earlier I was upset and said things that were out of line and not called for. Sometimes anger and hurt gets the best of you .I apologize to total maintenance for my ignorance .This was all a misunderstanding on my behalf ..There a very good company to hire and do a very good job.

Excellent and professional service. Quotes provided quickly with all services met in a timely manner. Prices are industry comparable, but value is exceeded in product and installation.

Came out and fix my patio. Did a wonderful job . We also did a wood fence worked hard through the heat and did a wonderful job. We will use them again

Very punctual completed the job as promised. Cleaned up all area I’m happy with the results.

We recently has an underground pool removed which left the back yard in a big mess, Poly gave me quick estimate, came out quickly, finished the job on time as promised.
Poly and his team did a fantastic job, they put in a new paver patio, re-leveled the ground for water flow and sodded the whole yard. They also created a swale on the side of the house required by the county for rain flow and drainage. They cleaned up the yard very nicely before leaving.
The back yard looks wonderful!!!!
