I’ve used Jessica’s team at R J O’Neil as a mechanical subcontractor on projects where we have been the lead contractor. They have always been professional and understand that their timely performance impacts the other trades on the job.

Because of their great track record using them as a subcontractor, I've used them for mechanical repairs on my home as well. They show up as scheduled, prepared to complete the work as promised. First rate across the board.

I live in an HOA condominium complex in Wheaton, IL. R.J.O'Neil has been on the property for emergency and non-emergency situations, mainly for plumbing on the grounds, buildings, and residences. The team is professional, polite, dependable, and good problem solvers. They are the first to call over here. I would recommend this company for all your plumbing concerns.

I reached out to R.J. O’Neil after a local company I had used numerous times over the last decade failed to provide me a quote for a furnace and air conditioner replacement (they advised they would once I had all other quotes). I received several quotes from other companies but couldn’t help but feel I was buying a used car from a shady dealership. I contacted R.J. O’Neil and spoke to Jessica who immediately made me feel comfortable. To my relief, Guy from R. J. O’Neil arrived, and was very down to earth. He communicated honestly and was happy to answer any questions I had. I made an appointment to have the installation completed then inquired about a humidifier. Guy and Byren completed the installation and were professional through the process. They accommodated my schedule and did a perfect job on the installation of the furnace, air conditioner and humidifier. They even fixed an issue I’ve had since I bought the house - one room being colder than the others. The room is now consistent! The office staff is also very responsive and professional. They responded immediately, showed up quickly, and had our unit fixed the same day. The technician was professional, efficient and personable. R. J. O’Neil handled the removal and installation of our heating and AC system today. The response to our need was quick, starting with the estimate, then proposal/invoice and finally the installation. The installers were prompt and professional and work was done in a timely fashion. They went above and beyond when connecting to the existing duct work and the clean up. We highly recommend R. J. I used RJ O'Neil for the first time and was beyond impressed! I was given options of furnace repair, replacement and furnace and a/c replacement. As a woman it is an intimidating process to have home repairs/replacement done, but RJ O'Neil made it such an easy process. I appreciate their professionalism, expertise and how respectfully they treated me. I am very happy with my new furnace & AC, I would highly recommend RJ O'Neil!!

As a small business owner, I strongly caution others against using this HVAC/R company. In my 10+ years of small business ownership, they are by far the least trustworthy and poorest performing contractor I have ever used. Our experience with them was nothing short of a disaster.

We trusted them with all our HVAC and refrigeration needs and were met with poor service, a defensive attitude, and zero accountability. When problems arose (and there were many), they were quick to argue and slow to act. They raised our service rate by 25% over the course of a year without notifying us. When I asked about it via email—no response.

I also requested multiple quotes that never showed up. As a business owner, I don’t have time to chase vendors just to pay them. We caught them billing us for work that was clearly not performed. On two separate occasions I verified this—one required a third-party HVAC company to inspect and confirm, with photos, that the rooftop unit had not been cleaned or serviced as billed. Even when caught with proof, they were completely deflective on the issue. After waiting almost 2 months for a return visit to correct this PM (and them continually rescheduling) – we gave up and had to hire a new company to do the work.

Their refrigeration services were even worse.

They mis-sized a walk-in freezer system – which we purchased and were forced to replace - because they used incorrect measurements and passed the load calculations off to their supply warehouse.

When I showed them manufacturer-provided calculations that proved the system was undersized, they did nothing but argue. No ownership. No fix. Just more excuses.

Hilariously, they also bid to replace the walk in freezer / cooler and the measurement was completely wrong. If I would have used them – they would have showed up with a cooler/freezer that would not have fit the space. Inability to properly use a tape measure, I’m sure that would have been turned around on me and become my fault too.

The most frustrating part of all this has been their attitude—always defensive, never apologetic, and absolutely no sense of customer care or professionalism.

Bottom line: If something goes wrong (and it likely will), this company will not stand behind their work. Do yourself a favor—look elsewhere. You deserve a company that values your time, your business, and does the job right. Attached are photos right after a “PM” on our roof top units.

I’ve been using this company for over 11 years, and they continue to exceed my expectations every single time! Recently, our AC stopped working, and they sent a technician out right away. He was incredibly knowledgeable—after I explained the issue, he immediately diagnosed the problem and even made an extra trip to pick up the replacement part to get us up and running the same day.

This is a woman-owned business run by hardworking people who truly treat their customers and employees like family. Their service is always superior, and their prices are very reasonable. It’s rare to find a company that cares this much and delivers such consistent quality. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for honest, dependable HVAC service!

We had just moved into our new home and had a contract on our old home when I went to the old home and found the furnace was not shutting off and the temp in the house nearing 90 degrees. This was on a Saturday, two days before the closing date. I called the Andersen and they were able to get a technician out to help us that same day. We ended up installing a new Ecobee wall thermostat and that solved the problem. Many thanks to the team at Andersen for saving the day.

We had a lot of work done by Anderson plumbing. They were professional and very efficient. We had an issue with a toilet flush and they came back snd repaired it within 2 days. Very pleased with this company.

Tech arrived very quick after booking appointment. Tech was very thorough and explained everything very well. Overall the experience with this company was very good and I would recommend them to come and do work to family, friends, or anyone who reads this on a whim looking for a good company to come and do work at your home.

Andersen provided great service. Adam, Joe, Mike, Jim and the main office were wonderful. Our technicians were extremely knowledgeable and professional, explaining everything in detail. We ended up needing a new humidifier, and they went above and beyond to get a team out the same day and make the process as efficient as possible.

I like supporting local contractors. Andersen Plumbing is a local family run company. They have been very professional and accommodating with my requests. They always return my calls. Their technicians are on time, knowledgeable and polite.

Andersen is probably a little on the pricey side, but they are pros and did a great job. Very attentive to our needs. Small issue regarding noise from a furnace, but was resolved very professionally and quickly. Since then, perfect performance of the installed equipment.
