Meinke is a wonderful garden center. I get my Christmas tree there every year along with a lovely wreath and poinsettias. The people there are very sweet and friendly. Everything is of excellent quality and not overpriced. Trees are selling out this year.

They have a wide selection of plants to choose from. They also have a cute cat that we love to pet and is very friendly. My son got his first succulent here and she’s thriving under his care. He just took home a couple more today along with a few milkweeds we bought for Duchess Berenice, our lovely wasp. Succulents Sabrina, Christina and Alex seem to all be enjoying each other’s company.

Huge variety of plants at this garden center. From decorative to vegetables to herbs to landscaping...they have it all here. The employees are always so nice and willing to help. Oh, they also have a huge pile of firewood in the back!

Have been going here for about 6 years. Great prices, large selection of tomatoes (heirloom and hybrid) and peppers. Lots of herbs and good choice of annuals. Diverse customer base, friendly environment that feels warm, inviting and busy, but not rushed.

I found this treasure a couple years ago. It’s only 20 mins from the Wrigley area and so worth the short drive. Their variety is astounding and quality is unsurpassed. Ive never had anything from them that didn’t thrive. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and really helpful. Just taking a stroll through the greenhouses is stimulating. For years I’ve done my garden shopping at Gethsemane, who are outstanding, but now I’m more of a Meinke customer. Equal quality plants for about 50% less.

My new favorite nursery. Incredible selection of annual and perennials. I was there for an hour and sure I missed half of the choices. Great prices and good quality of individual plants. For the specimen hunter it is a gold mine. On street parking. Friendly personnel. Update: 2022 great paper selections. I am an ultra hot aficionado and they have them. New choices each year. I'll have to annex the neighbors' yard!

Only disappointment is someone told us last year the rose tree we bought was perennial, it didn't come back, and when we asked someone this season about what we did wrong, we were told it was an annual.

Great place, been there my whole life. Always has the plants I'm looking for, or will tell me when they'll be in/grown enough to sell. And the people who work there have always been helpful when I have questions.

We’ve shopped at Meinke Garden Center numerous times over the years for plants and garden supplies. This past Christmas is the first time ever that we bought a fresh tree there. We’ve had it for four weeks now, and it is still thriving and taking in water every day. It looks like new! The BEST ever! Thank you Meinke!!! 🌲

Great local garden center! I always find more plants than I was looking for- like fun perennial vegetables, iris varieties, fuschias, etc. I also enjoy wandering through the greenhouses.

Went today, and did not find anything in there , some bushes , that is it. In summer it had lot if stuff but now was none. This place is Little bit pricy , i wish they will have a reasonable price on Christmas holiday .

A great garden store with a wide variety of plants, from cottage garden regulars to natives, to exotics. Always a varied and plentiful supply. Excellent and fair pricing for products that are equal or superior to fancier places about town that charge 3 times as much!

This is your place for garden vegetables too. A very large and wide variety and importantly , a plentiful supply of HEIRLOOM TOMATOES!! At a buck fifty per plant, you are not going to find better quality or better pries anywhere else.

Add on to this the friendly, helpful people, who will actually go find a plant for you and are pleasant at checkout and you have a number one choice for your garden plants!

Beautiful and unique plants. Enjoyed a lunch hour there and only made it halfway through the greenhouses. Coming back to see the rest. Parking may be an issue but worth the effort.

Terrible Christmas tree selections. Most are overpriced and small for it's price.

This is my now “go to” place for flowers. I was in search of some hanging basket, flowers, and visited a couple places, with no luck. They were completely out as it is late in the summer. I went to Meinke Garden and they had a nice, large selection, more flowers then I could have imagined. They were fairly priced and good quality. The staff was friendly and even helped me load my 6 new baskets of flowers in my van. I would highly recommend this place.

Compact but well stocked garden center with knowledgeable and helpful staff. I was on the hunt for a specific perennial which they did not have, but of course I found some end of the season annuals so I did not leave empty handed.
