Best garden center in the area. I go several times during the growing season every year.

I buy a few plants every spring and summer plus usually get a few bags of good dirt. Always helpful employees and a great and large selection of plants. Parking is a pain when they are busy but that’s not their fault at all the street just gets packed.

Meinke provided me with what Lurvey could never, affordable, large, beautiful plants that didn't die in 2 weeks. I am in love with my backyard again.

For all the rose gardeners, you need to check out this place before shop online again. Heirloom is now selling roses for $60s; the size you get from heirloom wasn’t even that impressive. Shopping at Meinke gives you a 1-2 years head start to say the least. Also, it has the most extensive French roses than any local nurseries. In my option, you want DA roses, some you just need to go to the website, no problem there. A large selection of German roses, but French roses are like unicorns, so thank you Mienke, please have more next season!

I went shopping for money trees the other day in the Edgewater area of Chicago and all of the Asian stores said they will not be selling them until May. So I waited the next day and start searching for plant stores in Niles and found these two money trees to replace the big ones so they can be repotted. The lady helping me find them in the store was very nice and she had very nice plants there. This will be my regular plant store for now. Very convenient and the prices are very good as well. Thanks for helping me find a nice birthday gift to myself!

Fantastic selection. Prices are reasonable. Picked up 3 healthy hydrangeas and 2 weeks later they are going strong, already blooming! My go to every year for spring planting.

Love my small business neighborhood garden center. It's been around 150+ years and great selection throughout the year with green houses on the premises.

I used to live fairly close by, but now even though I'm quite a distance away, I make sure to shop there because of the quality of their plants and the nice helpful people that work there

The quality of product here is tough to beat most anywhere else - I’ve purchased many rose bushes that have all thrived, and fill all of my planters with the vibrantly colored annual options. There are usually a lot of shoppers, which I contribute to the great selection and quality, so be mentally prepared and you’ll be fine! 🙌🏻

Really great Garden Center has been here for many many years. They have a tremendous selection of annuals as well as perennials. I purchased many items from both of those categories for the 2020 growing season and all of the things I purchased are healthy and thriving 4 months later. The prices were great and very reasonable for the high quality of plans that we are getting. I also love that they have many pre-made Planters ready to Grab & Go so it looks like you spent a million bucks on your gardening without having to actually spend that much. This place is a real Hidden Gem and I absolutely give it five stars!

Meinke Garden Center has an extensive seasonal plant variety, friendly and knowledgable staff, an enormous stack of firewood, and the best Christmas Trees around! Prices are fair, and I love supporting this local business year-round!

Simply the best! They have a ton of variety and plants for every season. Lots of herbs, veggies, perennials, annuals. Great prices too. Everything I've bought has lived and done well in my garden. Unlike from HD where I've had stuff die from disease. I like just to walk around too because it's so nice.

It has a great selection on indoor and outdoor plants. The staff is very helpful in answering any questions I had.

An ancient (1871!) operation still using the (converted) family home and garage together with a deep plot of greenhouses and display tables. Their offerings vary with the seasons. Bulk materials, fire, and a small of tools.

Had problems with their cleaning staff and owner refused to even call me back to resolve. Not professional.
