David actually answered my phone call and set up a time quickly to come give an estimate which was a great price. He was able to get out in a timely manner to complete our work him and his crew did a great job. Very professional and knew exactly what they were doing. David was very informative on every question I had. We still need some work done that I have to hold off on but I will not go anywhere else. I would wait for his company to do the work, I trust they are knowledgeable and will do the job right. Hands down overall great company! Very pleased customer!!

Penna electric is always my go-to company for all of my electrical needs. David and his crew execute quality work in a timely manner and they make you feel good about choosing them as your trusted contractors. This guy is an absolute joke. Where do I even start, between not even understanding how to wire in a simple outlet to being the biggest jerk I've ever met. Completely rude and unprofessional, they make you feel like a burden the entire time you are paying them for a service and on top of that within 3 weeks of having them out to my place I was having to contact an actual electrician to come out and fix this entire mess they made. So an extra $700 later and I can finally move on but what a headache and waste of time these guys are.

David did a great job at installing three ceiling light fixtures in our home, two of which needed scaffolding they were so high up. I originally told him two fixtures and at the last minute I added another and he had no issues adjusting to what we needed done. Job was done in a professional and timely manner. Awesome work!

I had David and crew out to install a new subpanel in our attached garage and rough in the service disconnect for a new mini split a/c unit. He and his crew were a pleasure to work with. David was fantastic in putting a plan together to make it happen. He even managed to devise a plan to run the new panel that would not require the disturbance of cabinetry we had recently installed. As someone who has done some DIY electrical work, I really appreciate how clean and orderly they made everything look. I would not hesitate to have them out for other projects in the future. From our first planning meeting through final inspection, David was an excellent communicator, was very diligent, and did great work. He offered great ideas/solutions, talked me through different options, and just made the entire process easy! And since I am not a professional and was acting as General Contractor, that was very much needed. Not only does he do great work, he’s super friendly and had a great attitude the whole time. Honestly not sure I ever saw him without a smile.

This is a way overdue review for one outstanding small business. David, owner of Penna Electric, is himself just that. He and his crew have twice gone our of their way to do the best job possible. We learned of PE through our daughter whose home addition had the good fortune being sub-contracted for electrical by PE. That reference led to work done initially in mid 2022 and again late last year. The honesty here was as promoted by the referral.

We could have easily been told to do more outlet or even panel wise in preparing for two new basement pumps. The work completed within code was completed swiftly by very caring workers. Follow-up call were quickly responded to and there have been no issues, callbacks, etc. Go for it!

The word "awesome" is thrown around fairly casually these days, but I will say that David truly is awesome. He worked with me on a residential property service entrance upgrade, conversion of a main panel to a subpanel, and EV charger install on an older home. He treated me as a stakeholder versus just a customer, taking into account my thoughts and requirements for the project (which were somewhat complicated by the age of the property and existing condition of the electrical service). I highly recommend David for all of your electrical needs!

David and his crew are amazing. Very professional and very thoughtful. I felt like I was working with a friend, not a contractor. Penna did. small jobs and a big job for us when we finished our basement. No detail is overlooked, and he doesn’t cut corners. There were things I would never have thought of, but David did. I’ve never worked with someone so considerate and fair. Simply the best!

Very friendly staff at DHS. Steve was an incredible carpenter who completed a storm door & interior door at an affordable price. Once the date was set up, he came and installed both doors without a hitch. A few weeks later our hot water heater started to leak. I called Tim from DHS and he was able to install the water heater & replace a faucet in my powder room. He stated that it would be about a 1/2 of a days work. We picked up the water heater & moved it to the basement to help Tim out. He arrived to do the water heater and the faucet the next day, which we were grateful for. However, he completed the water heater job and faucet in an hour and a half and charged me $870 for labor. We were happy with the work and the job once completed; however, I was a little taken aback by the price since it did not take him near as long to complete. I contacted DHS about it, and he graciously responded. Unfortunately these prices are “not affordable” & We just can’t afford to use their services anymore.

Had a shower clog that I could not clear and it lead to water leaking downstairs. I called my home warranty place who fishes out jobs to local contractors which is how I came across Dupage Home Services. My home warranty refused to cover it (surprise) despite efforts by DHS due to the problem stemming from atrocious “repairs” done by the previous owner. However DHS was very knowledgeable about the issue and still helped diagnose what was wrong, so I had them come back and fix the issue a few days later. They were fair in sticking with the quoted price and did the work properly and throughly instead of just “getting it done.” I would recommend them.

Do not trust this guy Tim. I had him install a new water heater in my house in April 2023. Well when he changed the water heater he did not mentioned that he cut wires from the furnace that was connected to a sensor on the water heater. Come this end of October and when my furnace needed to be turned on. The house filled up with carbon monoxide because of the furnace wires being cut. He almost killed my family! Then I ask him to do the right thing and fix his mistake. He looked at it and told me I needed a whole new set up and it would cost me around $2200. A whole new setup when all he did was changed the water heater incorrectly. I had to hire someone else to fix his mistake.. Do not hire or trust this guy, He takes no accountability and may even put your family in danger.
